There is something to be said about trying to make a positive difference / change and not accepting the status quo. While that is not the point of this article (it's actually like 10 sentences long and closer to a forum post than an article), nor is that what Sardaukarghola66 is trying to accomplish, I still think it's important to note that simply accepting things isn't going to change anything for the better. Not saying an article will either, but bringing the issue to light and...

It's next to reply, but it goes away after 15 minutes. Very annoying system!

Anyway, since it seems people still want these codes... I got a PS3 code and 3 PS4 codes if anyone needs one.

I got this like practically every other beta voucher and am surprised Sony bothered. There are already a surplus of codes and there really isn't any reason for someone who wants in the beta to not get in. With that being said, I do like how Sony sent a PS3 and 4 code.

@ nycgamer4ever

It actually depends on what the point of the beta actually is. Sometimes it's less about finding bugs / improving the game and more about simply testing the network stability or getting hype. In the case of Destiny, it's more of a fancy demo with a cooler name than anything else. Between Sony sending out codes, everyone who preorders getting 3 codes, sites giving out 100's of codes and anyone who preordered and reordered a limited edition version g...

Going off my experiences with Destiny, no.

Like, the more I do the strike mission in the beta, the more I am reminded how much I dislike playing with others. One game I had two people trying to snipe the tank from across the map and refused to get any closer unless they needed ammo and were constantly dying. Another game I had someone taking all the special and heavy ammo, so I kept dying to things that were quite avoidable if I had say shotgun shells, a few sniper bullets o...

Does this really need to be questioned? I mean, you can't really play a game without need to think about various things. Obviously some games will require more thinking than others, but it needs to be there because whats the point of playing a game where you just move forward and push attack?

I really wish the US got more fun items like that. Then again, I would probably just display it and never use the thing... >.>

"I'm probably in the minority here but I just can't really get into Destiny. I played the Alpha and it was ok. Now that I've got the beta I still feel tha same way. "

I feel the same way, but probably for a different reason. As much fun as I have playing it, I know that doing anything is going to be a waste of time and that prevents me from really getting into it. Like right now I have a maxed out character, did every mission and really have nothing to d...

"it was time consuming for even the best players which makes it a hard achievement. "

But again, what about it is difficult besides the time commitment?

4369d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

I really dislike when people use skill and time interchangeably. Like what makes "Seriously..." a feat of skill? If the task is killing 10,000 people, then you play enough games and you're bound to achieve it regardless of it being ranked, you being good or them having skill. It's just the sort of thing that that will happen and skill will simply make it happen sooner.

I would also say Balls of Steel wasn't that bad. Not only did I find the air hockey g...

"unfair bias to The Last of Us. "

There is no unfair bias.

"To what 'next gen' standards does the industry hold Call of Duty:Ghosts, or Watchdogs, or Wolfenstein, or Titanfall, or any number of cross-gen games out there? It is to that same standard that TLOU should be held - not higher, and not lower."

It is being held to the same standard.

"Then there are the apparent "GOTY contenders&...

Sigh~ I'm getting sick of the "you shouldn't preorder anything" articles and am really waiting for the "you should absolutely never buy anything on day 1" or "if you purchase something without reading a review you're a chump," since it's a two way street.

Yes, some games have over the top preorder bonuses and I would be sad if things like Alien: Isolation became the norm, but there is still a long road until we hit that point. Es...

Are current-gen standards really that different?

Most reviews / comments I see seem to indicate that people are unimpressed with the current-gen outside of graphics and even that isn't viewed that highly. This falls in line with a fairly large number of titles being either cross-gen or a remaster, which doesn't really set the bar at a new position. Long story short, is there even a new standard to hold this game to?

Right now Target has a coupon via Cartwheel that takes 15% off electronics (expires today), which stacks with the mover coupon (10%), employee discount (if you have it) and red card (5%). This drops the PS4 or Xbox One without Kinect to around $300 and thats not including the employee discount.

:I don't like the idea of being able to destroy the blue shell to begin with. I's supposed to be the ultimate unstoppable weapon that keeps the tension flowing."

I couldn't disagree more. For starters, getting rid of a blue shell generally requires a bit of skill and luck to accomplish. This is something you won't always be able to accomplish, but having that potential (like knowing that next ? box might save your butt) adds a certain amount of thrill tha...

Impossible to say, since these cuts are generally done to stimulate sales.

@ Thejigisup

I imagine that would go over much worse than simply porting DmC.

Sounds like a regional thing or a sale situation. I know in the US they both have the same cost, but various retailers will do deals / promotions that it's almost always cheaper to buy physically.

Take your example of Destiny. I can buy the digital version for $59.99 and get the game. On the other hand, I can go to Best Buy and preorder the limited edition for $80 (GCU discount) and get $10 in RZ credit dropping the price to approximately $70 + tax (lets say 10% for simp...

@ DrPepperDude

It all adds up. Even if the supplies only cost a dollar, you still need to manufacture these things and the biggest cost is probably going to be distribution. It's far from simple and all these things can really add up.

And I'm tired of some sites / writers trying to compare extremely subjective things in a poor charade to do a Sony vs M$ article.
