Actually it's 3* and I don't fully agree, though I also don't fully disagree. I agree that it is trivial and probably not worth caring about, but at the same time I can understand disliking such blatant product placement in a game too. This stuff can be a slippery slope and I don't think people would be thrilled if Nintendo made it a habit of filling their games with ads for other companies.

VGMMDI is a "satire" site, which is why this is listed as an opinion piece. With that being said, I really wish N4G would outright ban "satirical" articles in general, since most of them don't have a point and are generally poorly received.

"I just don't understand why Bungie or other Devs wastes their time responding to these idiots. "

Because then people twist the silence to mean an admission of guilt, so their hands are usually tied.

Ignore = People think you have something to hide.
No comment = So the comment was true.
Answer = Okay then.

" I think there's plenty of name recognition and loyal fan following for Bayonetta 2."

I think you're mistaking genuine name recognition (something that series like Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto, Mario and the like) with something a small group of people that post in game communities talk about. In reality, Bayonetta probably only sold around 2 million copies worldwide across two platforms and is not (I can't reiterate this enough) a title the vast majo...

"inFamous might not last as long but having higher production values and an actual story is worth a lot more to me. "

This is a pet peeve of mine. Instead of saying it has more value, why can't you just say "I would prefer playing ____." Like Disgaea offers countless hours of gameplay, but if you don't like grinding or silly anime styled games, then it is all for naught. Plus you wouldn't have people comment on you...

How can you comment on First Lights value when it isn't out and there are no reviews?

4330d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

If you're talking about N4G and it's the one I think you're talking about, then it wasn't N4G that took it down per se. According to the reports I saw, the article link was broken and the submitter got a PM saying that the host requested the article be taken down and since there was nothing to see anymore, the article was naturally failed.

I never quite understand why people want to be so complacent, when complacency simply guarantees the status quo.

Anyway, this all creates something of a catch 22, which partly makes it so frustrating. You can either turn a blind eye to everything she has done and allow her to profit off pretending to be a martyr and manipulate journalists to cover / promote her things or you can call her out and ideally expose her in the hopes of changing things. In the end, both sides have ...

Yup. Some of my favorite Vita games have been things I've imported and I would probably buy another Vita* just so I can play things like Phantasy Star Nova. Especially since I have absolutely no faith in Sega bringing it over and am still waiting for Phantasy Star Online 2 to come over...

* I actually have a Japanese Vita, so I would sadly need a North American one if it was region locked. Y_Y

Is this an article about Region-Locking or just someone looking to tell me that my opinion and choices don't matter because they deem them irrelevant?

Anyway, I couldn't disagree more with this article. For one thing, there are plenty of popular (albeit niche) games that never make it to the West, some of which have infinitely stronger following than the crap NISA / IF likes to publish. These are titles like Phantasy Star Nova, Phantasy Star Online 2, previous Miku t...

The beauty of the Duck Hunt Dog is that he is so random and out there that it seems preposterous to even suggest him as playable, much less make fake images of him, which in turn adds a sense of doubt. Same sort of logic happened with the PS All-Stars Battle Royale Round 2 rumor. People thought that too much effort went into something so random that it had to be true.

With that being said, I have absolutely no clue how that character would play, but am slightly intrigued by ...

"This news just seems strange given how successful Sony said it was."

Considering First Light releases in a week or two, odds are this is your standard "we finished the project, so we got rid of the extra people we no longer need" and nothing more. With that being said, it might be a little more given the quote IGN has here ( 4331d ago 3 agree6 disagreeView comment

I personally like when they do betas as pre-order incentives, since there really isn't a negative aspect. For one thing, it makes the beta easy to get in (just preorder / cancel if you want to try it out) and it removes the "luck" aspect of getting in. The beta also works as an early early access demo, so if you don't care for the beta, then you can simply cancel your preorder and not be disappointed at release. Speaking of which, since the beta is pretty much an early demo,...

@ cl1983

Thanks! I was looking for it using the original articles title and wrongfully assumed it didn't become the Kotaku version and figured it was either deleted or lost in the failed area.

With that being said, I guess that confirmed it was a source claim and it was for the reasons I gave. I also see why StubbyStan didn't feature it, since not only were they in the wrong (as per the rules that Emilo, and CL outright told them "When posting a ...

"I would recommend, going forward, that you do the necessary research prior to commenting, authoritatively on said subject."

So, basically the article tells me "Recently, we posted a commentary article about a Kotaku piece, sourcing our site as the main source (for the commentary), and Kotaku as a secondary source," which is about as vague as can be and when I say the article should tell me this information upfront, I am told ...

"What is PS Now for then"

PlayStation Now wasn't created to just bring PlayStation 3 titles to the PlayStation 4, but to allow multiple devices the ability to play PlayStation titles without the need of said console. So while porting PS3 titles to the 4 theoretically hurts Now on the PlayStation 4, it has absolutely no Impact on the features functionality on Bravia TVs, PlayStation TV, PS Vita and whatever other devices they port Now to.
