@ Th3armacharger
So disagreeing with you means I didn't play the DLC now? Okay then. I don't recall calling into question how good or bad the DLC was either, just that what GB has done since launch has been fairly poor. Like how Shift has proven to be little more than a golden key service or their slow patch speed. Like the level cap increase took around 6 months to complete and pretty much came out after all of the DLC was done. Same with a lot of obvious errors (lik...
As Software_Lover has already stated, that isn't much different than now. Most GS games start with a $5 dollar buffer and a good percent of them are only slightly different in price, with most of the value coming from clear out sales / discount coupons.
Either or, M$ really needs to clarify things. If all of this is true, I am not sure how it will affect people not selling through a retailer. It is possible that a fee for those people will still exist or it might not or ...
"It's nice that they support the game almost one year after release "
I fully disagree with you there. So far Gearbox has only done 2 DLC characters, the level increase, some costumes and this latest DLC. The other 3 DLC packs were outsourced and really anything else Gearbox has done has done quite poorly. When you look at how quick they're to "fix" bugs in the game, it really doesn't scream support.
The article is a little misleading, so I wouldn't worry about it. The system in question doesn't actually include "three" games, but a year of plus with those being a sample of what games you'll get. You could just as easily say bundled with 19 or 49 (I believe a year of plus if 48 games) and be just as accurate. In either case, it's just a year of plus and really not that insane of a deal come the end of the day.
The three games are part of plus.
Who called this news? This is an opinion piece and this isn't my opinion, it's literally listed as such on N4G.
"no, those who dont listen are pissed. those of us who comprehend "this is about the hardware and features, E3 will be about the games"."
While this may or may not be the case, it would just go to show how stupid M$ actually is. Don't believe me? Look at the results...
- The conference killed a lot of peoples hype and interest in the overall system, so now it will take even more to win people over.
- The new direction shows a l...
This is a time when common sense comes into play... Nothing about the controller is unique or special (unlike the Wii U gamepad), nor does anything say otherwise, so it is safe to assume that the controller can be bought separately. When you consider 360 controllers are confirmed to not be compatible with the system, this article would be about M$ killing the offline (how else can you play with 2 people offline if you can't buy a controller outside of a console, besides your friend bringi...
Games can help, but no amount of exclusive / first party (which no offense to M$ fans, but M$ isn't known for) will make up for fundamental problems.
Between requiring the Kinect, that Kinect patent that I guess might restrict you based off the number of people in the room, decreased gaming focus and increased media focus, rumors of 1 online sign in a day being required, HDD can't be replaced and no BC (though Sony couldn't accomplish this either), it will take mo...
I bought it and got the Penny Arcade shirt...
It implies that this is important in some way and worth talking about. I could just as easily post an article with ABSOLUTELY no proof claiming Sony is working on the Vita successor and I am willing to bet I would be right. It's a common practice in any successful business model, since these things don't appear over night. However, given that the Wii U is "failing", a lot of people are (as you can see in the comments here) writing this off as Nintendo giving up on the Wii U....
Technically it's R&D (Research and Development), since both concepts make up the process.
"Yeah, it would admit defeat"
Why do you automatically jump to that conclusion? It's not like Nintendo will release the next system this year, next year or next next year, since R&D takes a lot of time and effort. This really just shows that Nintendo is planning ahead and nothing more. Who knows what they're thinking and just because they start today, doesn't really have an impact on the present. Even the article notes they started development on the...
Honestly speaking, none of this (article included) mean anything, since companies are always looking to the future. Take Apple and Steve Jobs, he died in October of 2011, yet there are claims he worked / had input on the iPhone 5 (wouldn't be shocked if he worked on other future phones either), which released a little under a year after he died. That's pretty much just how these things work and this isn't really news, since it has no impact on anything. Not like them working on it...
While I would love to be wrong, it won't.
Most if not all Ryu ga Gotoku fans are Sony side (since it was a PlayStation exclusive franchise) and that wasn't enough to get a port of the PS3 version. No amount of requesting will connivence Sega to port the Wii U version if they aren't willing to port 5 and HD Collection for the PS3, DLC characters for Binary Domain and the PSP game.
@ Oh_Yeah
I am fluent in both, so I just prefer Japanese. With that being said, the Japanese typically cast better people than the US and so I find it more enjoyable.
@ Yi-Long
Spelunker HD still has more value than Rayman Origins and is literally less money than your your hypothetical situation, yet I've never seen it listed in any of those articles ever (though I very rarely see them).
To give you an idea, Spelunker H...
I don't see why you're defending your point, since it's absolutely right, but completely stupid at the same time.
No matter how good or bad a game is, decreasing the asking price will almost always result in more sales. I guarantee The Last of Us could outsell CoD if they lowered the price to a $1 on launch, perhaps even if they lowered it to $15 dollars at launch, but this is all really just common sense. and doesn't account for how much the game cost to mak...
Simple logic time...
The Wii U has little to no games that anyone wants, which in turn makes the console and stay with me please, sell poorly. When we get Pikmin 3, Mario Party U, Mario Kart U and Super Smash Bros U, then and only then will we have an idea of how well the system will do. If you don't believe me, look at the 3DS. The system was flat lining over a lack of games, high price and weak specs. Now that the system got a price drop and several quality titles, you ...
CoD might sell better, but Mario is bigger than CoD and that's just a fact. Not only is Mario recognizable (vs CoD's generic military men, even the named people can easily be mistaken for anyone else in a military setting), but he has withstood the test of time.
People know who Mario is, what he relates to and is one of the few truly iconic gaming characters. Another would be Pacman, though I can't think of anyone else who would be on the same tiering as those t...
You know the difference between being informed and being ignorant is? You objectively think about things and make a rational choice based off logic.
I play alone and never sell my games -> Many people do, Are you saying their needs / wants are trivial because it doesn't affect you? Even if you're not trying to, that's the message you're giving. Resale doesn't hurt, affect or hinder your desires, so why accept something that only hurts other consumers? ...
