I think that's just the Kojima attitude - the same thing that makes his games so great, keeps them to such a high standard.
As far as the waffle at the end about consoles being so lame this generation - I don't buy the author's argument at all.
When Intel first showed off the Atom several weeks ago they showed a slide with "Smart Phones" listed as one of the uses for the new chip along side an image of an iPhone - so it was pretty clear what they are intending. Glad to see Forbes has caught up.
From March 12

I keep having to stop myself from watching these - I want to, but I'd rather see everything for the first time when I'm playing.
LOLOLOLOLMAO!
I think the primary reason Microsoft doesn't go after supposed violators of this and other patents is that they know they would lose. They would rather retain them in order to threaten other companies than to pursue litigation and lose them.
A good example would be Blackboards 44 patents being overturned yesterday after less than two year. They never should have been granted in the first place, but they were, Blackboard got greedy and started suing other companies (and winning)....
As far as April Fool's day jokes go - this one is pretty weak. Not nearly funny enough.
That patent is ridiculous and in no way would prevent Sony from having custom soundtracks
I think we should be careful not to equate length with quality. I don't think any of us should have cause to complain about getting their monies-worth out of GTAIV even if it only has as much content as San Andreas. I the multiplayer is good I'll probably put in more hours there than I do in most whole games.
I don't disagree that it would be cool to see this kind of game made with a 50 gig disc in mind, but I think we'll see what that can be like before too long.
This is exactly what I've been saying - the core GTA game is more than enough content for most players so why should we expect them to care about DLC?
I'm gonna have to wait to play it, but I fully expect it to be in the running.
That low?
10.5.3 is a pretty large security update - it's currently in testing and should be along very soon.
Makes sense that they would protect themselves. If U18s are looking up things that their parents would prefer they didn't they can't go after Google. I'm sure they have no intention of actually enforcing it.
Epic Fail.
That's like comparing a Lamborgini Gallardo to a Ferrari Maranello - or something.
I never knew hippies were so violent. Must be from playing GTA ;)
I'm hoping they'll put out a Greatest Hits version, or some such, with all the DLC.
It's more like the Kindle than the iPhone - If the kindle were a dashboard-mounted, flat-screen TV.
The crime map sounds really cool. Go Rockstar, go!
Well put.
