I think the market will dictate future distributions methods. So where do the most games sell now - at retail or via XBL,PSN,steam etc.? I'm pretty sure it's retail.

In generally I think I actually prefer the COD health method (I'm not sure who did it first) to the straight up health meter - I find it keeps me in the game more while making it simultaneously less frustrating. Perhaps the Resistance-style partially-regenerating meter is a happy medium.
I can't help but agree with this guy - even if he's maybe a little too worked up. Oblivion was my first 360 game way back when. Trying to use the d-pad for quick-select was abominably bad - trying to switch to a spell or weapon on the fly was totally unreliable and was probably more likely to get me killed than anything. I just can't accept that half, or more than half, of the time when I press "right" it inputs "right+down".
Pretty lame list. E-Pro?? That would work OK for Rock Band, but the guitar part is really really simple and really really repetitive - that equals not good for Guitar Hero.
That's going to depend on which PS3 you have. I believe MGS(1) should work on all PS3s, The other 2 shouldn't work on the 40gig at all - and I don't have confirmation on if MGS2 & 3 work on the 80 or the 60, but those are the only two versions that it should be possible on.

I think it's too soon to tell. If the 360 continues to be profitable, ideally more so, then they can continue to justify the division. They are still easily more than $6 billion in the red so if they can continue profitability until they get back in the black and then some it might make sense. At the rate they are going this could take quite some time - most likely they won't reach that point with the 360. So it comes down to what their goals are for the business. Are they OK with it taking 1...
I'm playing Mass Effect right now, and while it's certainly a cool game I think it has too many flaws to deserve a perfect score. Maybe they'll get them all ironed out for the PC.
To address your perfect 10 for sound - Mass Effect has some serious issues with audio mixing, especially when it comes to dialogue. It's particularly bad when certainly dialogue has to compete with the music or sfx, but in general the levels of just straight up conversation dialogue is extremely inconsi...

Why do they aggregate Pokémon SKUs? I realize that they are essentially the same games, released at the same times, but they aren't the same SKU.

I say it's too soon to call. But my prediction would be that it will work to an extent, but not to the extent that Microsoft would like. I think the 360 will do better than the Xbox, but fail to lead this generation in sales. I think we'll have a much better idea in a years time after all of the big three have played their cards, so to speak.
I think that in these modern times in which we live releasing a gaming console with absolutely no integrated storage is just silly - especially when in the previous generation they were the only one that HAD it. At the very least build enough in for game saves for goodness'-sake - memory cards FTL, for serious.
There is NO FREAKING WAY it's going to be free. So I'm also guessing that it might happen.
