I highly doubt they would say “it’s not battle royale” and then have it be a battle royale. That’s a completely different level of lying that Bung/Acti haven’t stopped to.
If it were a BR mode then they would have avoided the question and redirected it, but instead they outright said “no it’s not”
@UCForce
"If you think it was debunk, i’m going to say this again and again and again. How many hardwares MS have sold ?"
How is that relevant to Sea of Thieves Game Pass players?
"Yes, I'm criticizing them for hyping this game up for many years and they released a terrible game and now they have 3 teams trying to fix that terrible game"
The three teams are all internal. They basically mean instead of having the entire staff working on the May content update, they have one third of the staff working on the May update, another third of the team working on the next content update, and another third of the team working on the October updat...
I don’t get it. Microsoft gets flak for not supporting new IP, and now you’re criticising their first party devs for providing content updates for a new IP that just released?
Based on the source that the article cites, the title is a little misleading:
“Sea of Thieves had 1.7 million monthly active users on console and 283,000 on PC during its launch month. However – more than half of these users obtained the game through the limited free trial offered as part of Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass“
There’s not data on how many people renewed the trial, or how many bought a physical copy after playing the trial.

He replied to a Tweet, they take like 10 seconds to write
Is it? I haven’t seen any numbers on it so I wouldn’t know
@RpgSama
Of course they know that - he then directly addressed that point by saying that's what they're aiming to fix with the major updates (first one in May) as well as the weekly updates (starting in 2-3 weeks time).
I'd be far more concerned if they didn't acknowledge that
I guess you didn’t actually research how the X version looks then?

How can you sit there and tell me that doesn’t look better?
And if you were right and that there was a problem with displaying it on modern TVs, we would have heard about it by now, seeing as the 4K patch is already out and people are playing it
@Trooper
Except for the fact that Halo 5 came out in 2015, with no releases since then. How is that yearly?
Don’t know where you’re getting your facts from, but there weren’t any mts available at launch
Completely agree - allegedly they’re discussing content plans in the coming week or two, so we’ll see what’s on the cards then
Microsoft: provides option for everyone to play and judge game for free for 2 weeks on a trial, or $10 for a month, and then purchase to own at a discount price or continue renting for $10 a month if you want to continue playing
N4G: the game’s designed to steal your money!
If the average score on metacritic is 7/10, then how is IGN’s 7 considered above average enough to warrant this type of comment?
Yep. The game is at its best in a crew, but it's great fun playing alone - surely the point of a review is to say 'I tried playing on my own and it wasn't for me', as opposed to 'you cannot and will not have any sort of fun playing alone'. Way to put words in everyone's mouth
Why are you specifying it as paid DLC? They've gone on record to say all post-launch playable content will be free, and the only paid gear will be things like pets or certain cosmetics they bring in
It's definitely getting bad reviews, but to say the vast majority are as low as a 3 isn't really true, considering the average score is 6.5-7 - not a great score, but not in the same ballpark as a 3
@Foxtrot
.... does it matter?
