Do you think Xbox owners just sit there and play nothing until the next exclusive comes out?
@tyler
Oh okay, our mistake, I guess Fonger will now lower his opinion of the game to match the meta score /s
Why does it matter what score it got if people are enjoying it?
So you’d rather the game be no risk and all reward?
I know your 'probably nothing' response was so you could lead into talking about how the game has nothing to offer, but what the skull cloud actually is is a signal that one of the Skeleton forts on the map is now occupied, so players head their and attack the forts.
Just wanted to include this response here in case people decided to read the comments instead of the article - it actually does mean something, and leads to a fort full of difficult to kill skeletons, w...
@Servbot
They stated they’re selling pets, and then potentially cosmetics further down the track. People are just making this up by saying “oh but they probably will charge for gold”
Where did you get ‘charge them for gold’?
@UCForce
I get the complaints about the lack of story, but really no tutorial? So because it doesn’t hold your hand, that’s a bad thing?
Yeah you’re right - instead of aiming for a couple of years, they should invest in games you can finish in a couple of hours after you beat the story, with no reason to return.
What a dumb argument - any game these days that gets played for a couple of years is a winner in my book
@Brave
Boohoo, now we’re stuck having to play it cause it’s fun, instead of striving to gain arbitrary stat improvements!
@iamtylerdurden
Point me to one Xbox fan that said that, because I haven’t seen any. I’ve seen a lot of hardcore PUBG players saying it, but no Xbox players
Narrative-based games are great, but not every game needs one - same as not all single player games need multiplayer.
And why are people idiots for using Gamepass? It’s a pretty great deal for people who are on the fence about purchasing at full price
I agree that they’re most likely having development issues, but with not having heard info for 5 months I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt - we hadn’t heard anything for State of Decay and got a massive info dump, price details, and release date
How is this game ‘self hyped’? What does that even mean? Are you criticising Microsoft for marketing a game they’re publishing?
Why not? If people wanted to wait for reviews to make a purchase, they just have to wait a couple of days.
As others have said, there’s a negative stigma around launch day reviews that rarely comes to fruition
I, too, hate games that get continuous post-launch support /s
As others have pointed out, there’s also no MTs
Definitely a lot of fun. More fun with friends, but an awesome time either solo or matchmaking with a group of 2 or 4 - I don’t think I got one dud group during matching, and almost everyone used microphones.
Gameplay itself is really fun, and the novelty of it hasn’t really worn off at all. Swordplay is clunky, but gunplay is fun, and ship-to-ship combat is just the best, especially between 2 galleons.
Definitely getting it at launch, but it helps that i...
What do you classify as ‘games as a service’, and why is it a bad thing?
How can you hear the execution wasn’t great if it hasn’t released?
Yeah, cause Microsoft invented the MMO genre, the granddaddy of ‘games as a service’, right?
Well firstly I don’t think Xbox players sit there and play nothing in between exclusives, so that argument doesn’t really make sense
Secondly, are we going to do this with ever exclusive? Same thing happened when PUBG launches - it did well, but ‘oh it’s cause Xbox has no games’. I guess now that we’ve said it for SoT, next step is to say the same thing when State if Decay does well?
