Everything you just said is flatout not true - see babadivad's comment above.
"Why is MS obsessed with making everything internet only"
How's your offline single player for GT Sport treating you? Oh, wait...
Not sure why you're bringing up Super Lucky's Tale. A quick glance at MADGamer's comment history shows that he's really not interested in anything Xbox at all
I guess you didn't read the article?
"There isn't a 'boost mode' - it's always allowing games to use the full hardware"
Which part of that makes you want to cancel your preorder?
To my knowledge, the PS4 Pro has a base mode and a 'boost mode' that the devs can optionally take advantage of, so people have been wondering if the X has something similar.
Just as you said though, the X is in permanent 'boost mode', rather than it having to be separately enabled
2013: Say no to Microsoft's always-online future! No to DRM!
2017: Don't be dumb man, you only need an internet connection to play GT Sport's campaign
... would you rather they leave it in the terrible state it's in? Or fix it up for the fans who bought and paid for it and asked them to fix it?
What do you think the government could/should do to help regulate loot boxes?
And if you don't have a quality PC?
Maybe the people who played and reviewed it didn't have a problem with the way the loot boxes were implemented?
@butchertroll
Loot boxes were enabled in review copies, I think it was just the MTs that were disabled
"Another 180"
So it's a bad thing that they listened to the feedback and reversed the decision?
"The only reason it's £60 is because it's a Star Wars game and EA know loads of idiots will pay that to get the game"
Isn't it the same prive as all/most other AAA game releases? I think it's that price because of AAA dev cost, not just cause 'Star Wars=money'
I've seen you in everybody thread shitting all over Forza at every opportunity.
Why is it people can't enjoy both? Is there some rule that says you're only allowed to buy one racing game?
I mean, I completely agree, but I didn't see anybody defending this.
Nobody I saw on this site, /r/XboxOne and even r/Forza was defending this
@G2
My point wasn't that either game is Sony, its that the site has a mentality of "there can only be one! Competition can't co-exist, and one has to beat the other!"
I used the example of how a lot of people on this site want MS/Xbox to collapse just because they don't like Xbox. I didn't intend for it to come across that Destiny/Halo has anything to do with either publisher, just using the example to illustrate a point
With this site's obsession with Sony killing MS, it comes as no surprise that the general consensus around here is that only 1 type of game or console should exist at a time
"They both have guns. They must be exactly the same and direct competitors"
"Like their head hancho stating he doesn't agree with timed exclusive deals?"
From memory, the quote was about Destiny's exclusive DLC.
The principle behind his comment was that it's not good practice that PS and Xbox players pay the same amount for DLC, but Xbox players get less content. At least lower the price or something
And I'm not saying I agree with timed games as a whole, because that's a different...
Not every game needs single player, in the same vein as not every single player game needs multiplayer.
If their vision is for a shared world multiplayer experience, then forcing them to tack on a single player to try and cash in on that market would devalue the whole experience, and wouldn't be worth the effort (see For Honor for a single player example; and Spec Ops: The Line for a multiplayer example. Both were sub-par because they weren't part of the original vi...
Why does it matter how old it is? It's getting a free upgrade to push it up to this level of performance, which is great news for the people who will play it on the X.
Same goes for people who will be playing the hundreds of other games that are getting similar updates.
"Microsoft, once again trying to ruin gaming. Back to the 'always online' requirement. More like Microsoft just wants to always be in control of how you play."
Ruin gaming by offering an optional service?
Back to 'always online' by... doing what? Letting you download games and play them locally? Out of Games Pass and PSNow, PSNow is the one that requires a constant connection, because you're streaming instead of downloading t...
