Yeah, people were adamant there was going to be an announcement of no more hardware, Gamepass on PlayStation, MS becoming a publisher, etc.
And I feel every second day there was an article like “Gears coming to PlayStation?” or “Starfield coming to PlayStation?”
I don’t think MS helped, this podcast probably could have been a press release sent out a week ago
Phil: not everything is going multiplat
Hofstaderman: read between the lines, means everything is going multiplat
Can’t have been more than Skyrim or Fallout during their respective launches, I’d say. Lots of hype, but it died off relatively quickly after people actually got their hands on it, so I’d say it wouldn’t have the same legs.
But curious, why would you rather know that?
For sure - these updates would be nice to have, but they just make it easier to get to the same repeated POIs and locations, it doesn’t really change the issue at the core of the game
“Here’s why”
I’m going to not give this article a click out of spite. It’s a given that you’re going to explain why, or else the article wouldn’t exist, you don’t have to tack a “here’s why” on the end.

Don’t Bethesda games usually sell best on PC though, because of mod support?
Listen, I don’t disagree, but your comment kind of talks past the point of the article.
It says in 2023 MS gaming division earned X, Acti Blizz earned Y, and Sony gaming division earned Z. Now that MS owns Acti Blizz, next financial year their revenue will be X + Y, which in the current numbers is more than Sony’s Z.
That’s it. It’s saying the combined revenue is more than Sony’s. There are a lot of really defensive comments in here that are addressing al...
Worth noting a site called Newzoo put the report/analysis together, Windows Central is just reporting on it:

@Jin
No, z2g is correct. In one of the in-game screenshots shared right there in the article, the player has scanned the animal and it says “Abilities: Camouflage”
You should also research before calling someone else out
Appreciate the clarification, I took the previous excerpt from the Guidelines page in the footer
FYI the guidelines on the page actually say:
“Twitter posts are also an acceptable source of news, but only if they are made by an industry professional”
Is Jason Schreier of Bloomberg News, who made the Tweet in the original failed submisssion, not an industry professional?
You even acknowledge it as the original source in this very submission by having it in the ‘Credit URL’ field
Woke rubbish like what?
“ There’s no reason for Todd to do so unless it’s his ego because he read somewhere about the low IQ enemies in his game.”
… or it’s because he was asked about the space combat design in a podcast, and touching on the AI was a small part of the larger discussion
Doesn’t PS5 have a digital only version as well? What does that have to do with Game Pass
“What’s he get”
To have fun?
Why does it matter? When’s the last time you saw any publisher or dev report on profit instead of revenue?
Why is it we never see this with other companies? Sony releases number of consoles sold, or developers talk about copies sold, but we don’t hear “great but what’s the profit margin?”
Yes revenue isn’t profit, but why is that only an issue when it comes to Game Pass?
So because one company does something cool first the other can’t do it at all?
Subjective, but I haven’t run into one of these barriers yet and I’ve done plenty of exploration
What woke infestation do you mean?
