“Never about graphics”
Games are key, everybody knows that. But to suggest that concerns were never about graphics is plain false.

This article from 2013 has people fighting over the difference between 1.3 teraflops and 1.8 teraflops, with the overwhelming majority staying that it’...
Super scummy - the devs gave streamers access to a lot of late-game stuff too, as opposed to the actual early-game that is most representative of what people are playing
“games as a service are shit”
So GT Sport is shit?
Games that release like shit get weirdly lumped into the ‘Games as a service’ slur. This game released with so many issues it’s not funny - not just in terms of content, but also lack of basic optimisation, money-grubbing practices involving flipping Ark assets, etc.
Doesn’t necessarily make it a ‘game as a service’. GaaS is when a game is released as a functioning, playable, fun game w...
Not an mmo though, it’s pvp only matches, like For Honor.
Doesn’t look too bad, but it’s not what the guy above you is asking for
“Recently it was revealed it has 7million players. So always plenty to race against.!“
Not to nitpick, but 7 million players have picked the game up since launch. It doesn’t have 7 million active players
“Hyped through the roof”
Wasn’t there an article at the top of the site a few days ago talking about how it’s worrying that MS wasn’t talking about the game?
Now is a good time to jump in!
There's also a dedicated PvP mode coming early next year (The Arena), and an update to add more lore/story-driven voyages/quests (presumably in the first half of next year as well).
It's also a great game to play for a little while and come back to so you avoid that burnout
@lucas
Do we know that for sure? I haven’t really looked around for sales figures so I’m out of the loop on that one
“I gave my FH4 season pass to a friend since I refuse to play games onlinE”
Um... why?
You’re missing out on a lot of great games
Just on your reply from below:
“Disturbing because of the fact that this can be used in other ways the consumer has no idea about”
I get what you’re saying, but I guarantee that every piece of hardware or software you use tracks how you use it, especially in ways that we as consumers aren’t aware of.
Disturbing how?
Also just to be clear, this was for staff/internal, not a widely produced tracking system
Yes, I’m sure software giant MS are clamouring for all the positive exposure that usgsmer.net can bring them /s
Games like GoW being the future sounds great, and all the games you listed are amazing- but I don’t think you have to go as far to lump all non-single-player games into the ‘not real games’ category
I don’t think they apply as ‘buzzwords’, I think the term you’re looking for is ‘trend’.
‘Battle Royale’ is a trend, and ‘Games as a Service’ are a trend. I don’t know why you included SJW - what does that have to do with anything? If anything, that’s a term gamers started using, why would it be a ‘buzzword’ that other devs/pubs are following? I doubt that devs sit down and say “okay guys, how can we make our next game more SJW?”
Depends on what AAA games - all MS first party are there day one (Forza Horizon 4 being a good example). PES 2019 and Onrush came out pretty soon after launch, and Warhammer Vermentide was there day one
Kionic: *Says that a service is great value for gamers*
SCW: “yeah but PlayStation games won an award”
Major congrats to the devs on that, but I don’t see the relevance between that and Game Pass
Not sure when you last played SoT, but it’s pretty great
He said
“Great article!
Sony's Californian SJW politics & censorship are losing them some loyal fans.”
What part of Sea of Thieves was inspired by greed? It’s a new IP they spent years making.
Content or no at launch, I don’t see how spending years developing a new IP, and building it out with free major content updates after launch is greedy
