@topher
Snake brought up the PS4, which is why I said “speaking of ps4”, but yeah I do mean consoles in general
Speaking of PS4, I have a question.
Why is Epic buying games and studios to have exclusives on their launcher - which is free - considered a bad thing? While consoles having exclusives - which are locked behind a few hundred dollar purchase if you don’t have the console - considered a good thing?
So you’re saying active user base is more important I gauge success than total number of users?
It’s a press event for announcing future content. When was the last time you saw Notch at a Minecraft press event
Exactly what I thought as soon as I read the title. The amount of articles that have suddenly come out like this since Days Gone astounds me.
Quantum Break got 77/100 and was absolutely dragged over the coals on this site. Sea of Thieves got a 69, and received the same treatment.
Then Days Gone gets a 71 and suddenly the review system is broken and people should stop calling a 7/10 a bad game? Give me a break.
To be clear, I’m of the op...
Quick question from someone who hasn’t played the game.
Aside from nests (which you could argue zombies have as well), are those points of difference represented in the game?
The videos I’ve seen so far show them as basically zombies (shambling around, decaying skin, animalistic, etc), but I’ve heard that “they’re not zombies, they’re dreamers” line parroted for a few months, and it just comes across as marketing speak to try and create a point of differe...
So people having opinions different to you = smear campaign?
At your second comment, “Waypoint.vice who, I rest my case”
What? First, that wasn’t your case at all. You were arguing that they spent too much time playing it and they must really enjoy it.
Second, I hate Vice but to say “Vice who” is a little ignorant, theyre a pretty large group as far as journo sites go. And they’ve had Waypoint (gaming division) for a few years at this point)
And if you like the game that’s fine. But why are you m...
So... reviewers get in trouble for rushing through/not playing enough, and now they’re getting in trouble for playing too much?
How dare he experience more so he can form a more informed opinion /s
@ sprinter
Not to defend Vice, but their gaming division at Waypoint has been around for a fair while
Lol “it’s a freaker apocalypse guys, get it right”
If you want to call out the 3 as an outlier than you should also call out the 9.8 score on there.
Majority of reviews are average, and that’s fine. Not every game will smash it out of the park
Yeah I feel like people somehow think that xCloud is actually the next Xbox, because people seem to be comparing it to the PS5, which is stupid.
The next Xbox will support physical/digital; will support Game Pass/xCloud and such; developers will have more options on offer.
Those are the broadest points to apply to a console ever, so you’re spot on that they apply to MS too
I don’t think I’ve seen anybody anywhere defend Halo 5’s single player, so I don’t know what you’re on about. It’s widely regarded as the worst in the series.
Like you said, the MP is great. For Infinite they need to include what made 5’s MP good and just nail the story/SP, and they’ll have a hit.
Also, disagreed on the 85 meta - does that mean if it gets 80 or 82 it’s not worth playing? People who play based on metacritic miss the point of games in my op...
Doesn’t it come with Sea of Thieves/Forza and something else pre installed?
And that’s cool - not every person has to be interested in every game. Some people love single player, some love co-op play
It does - I don’t think people are expected to complete 10-20 hours worth of content in one sitting
@yomfweeee
Then you split the player base, because you’ll have less and less people that buy each update, a la every Battlefield/CoD game ever. Then your game dies because no one’s playing it
The only game I can remember with a healthy DLC population was Halo 3, and that’s because of how insanely popular it was, which is something that game devs should aspire to but it’s also a little unrealistic to expect
Lol what. It’s literally the creator of PUBG being interviewed about PUBG
Sure you are.
Did you read the article or other comments? Or just the title?
It’s going up by 10 pound for a 12 month sub in the UK only, now matching the price of PS+, likely due to the effects of Brexit on the value of the pound.
