I saw this Resistance 2 commercial tonight while watching T.V., it's defiantly an attention grabber... you always know that you are watching a Sony PS3 commercial when it's really different from anything else. Got my R2 Collectors Edition on Pre-order and definantly can't wait for it.
Dead Space is a very solid Survival Horror game. I finished it just last night with 16 hours and 20 minutes of total gameplay time to complete it. Dead Space is the 2nd longest PS3 game I've played with MGS4 being the longest. I was really surprised that Dead Space turned out to be such a long game because I was expecting at least a 10-12 hour game maximum because most non-RPG games these days struggle to make it past the 12 hour mark.

Anyone that still goes around saying the PS3 has no good games like Soulja Boy clearly has no idea what they are talking about or is just a Xbox fan. Uncharted Drakes Fortune, Heavenly Sword, Rachet and Clank Future Tools of Destruction, GT5P, Warhawk, Resistance and Motorstorm are all great games as well.

Well, the first thing that Microsoft can do is to stop selling the Xbox 360 Arcades with no hard drive.
The next thing they should do is to offer anyone that already has a Xbox 360 Arcade a 25%-50% discount on ANY Xbox 360 Hard drive with proof of purchase.

I really don't think that an analyst can talk about Blu-ray sales without mentioning or adding in PS3 sales as well because I think the PS3 is just as important.
As HDTV prices continue to come down and Blu-ray player prices come down more, Blu-ray will really do well... when "most" Blu-ray players hit the $199-$250 mark, that's when I think Blu-ray players will REALLY start to take off in sales.

Now that's the kind of advertising Resistance 2 needs. I think Sony's got to step up their advertising to go along with their big games and push them out in the media more.
The next thing I want to see, is a huge sign on a building with a Helghast Soldier on it and another sign on another building late next year with Kratos on it with the words "In The End, There Will be Chaos"... now that would be epic.

First party titles like Lair, Uncharted and Heavenly Sword didn't have multiplayer because they weren't intended to be Multiplayer games. You do realize that other 3rd party games like Dead Space (awesome game) and Fallout 3 are Single Player Only games too right?, don't just point the finger at PS3...

MGS4 is not a mainstream game and it's not meant to appeal to everyone. If you haven't played the previous MGS games then you wont be able to appreciate MGS4 like a TRUE MGS FAN would, and something tells me that you probably haven't played any other MGS game before. Too bad you can't appreciate a masterpiece of a game.
Don't forget about the new Indiana Jones movie too that came out just this week. I got it the other day on Blu-ray and it was another one of the Summer Blockbuster hits and I'm pretty sure that it will fuel Blu-ray too. The Dark Knight will definantly be MEGA-TON on Blu-ray sales when it comes out though.... I can't wait to see that movie again.

LittleBigPlanet IS a 3D game. LBP is a 3D platformer that plays like a 2D game.... it's like the new Street Fighter 4. Street Fighter 4 will be a 3D game, but it will still play like a 2D game.
I didn't think the PS3 was going to sell a lot over 200K because last month PS3 sales took a dip. It's no surprise the 360 outsold the PS3, but it wasn't a big of a margin I thought it would be.
The Xbox 360 at $199 should have sold over 400K in my opinion, the PS3 sold over 400K when MGS4 came out and was selling at $399 and $499.
But overall I think that it was a good month for the PS3 in the United States compared to last month. Hopefully LittleBigPlanet will boos...
Bioshock will have to take a backseat for me until early 2009. This Fall Sony is getting my money with LBP, Motorstorm, and Resistance 2. And there's a few other 3rd party games that I want (Far Cry 2, Fallout 3) there's just too many other games I want other than Bioshock. Right now I'm playing Dead Space and it's really hard for me to put down the controller.
Yeah, I just found this out today. I got Dead Space earlier today and there was a Battlefield Bad Company and Burnout Paradise Demo. I think it's a good idea to put demos on certain games for the people that don't have access to the internet and can't download them.
I don't know if the 360 version has it or not, but it looks like EA used the extra Blu-ray space to put the demos on there for the PS3.

I think I remember one of the developers for Motorstorm Pacific Rift mentioning something about being able to take a picture in-game in a video interview at Leipzig, so I'm guessing that Motorstorm Pacific Rift will support it.
I want Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 to support it as well as the rest of Sony's upcoming exclusives.
It's going to be VERY interesting to see how LBP will be recieved by the Japanese gamers.
The only thing that it is probably holding back LBP from really taking off in Japan is that it's not developed by a Japanese studio... the Japanese seem to only be interested in games that are developed by a Japanese dev. studio than anything else, but LBP looks like it can be just as appealing as Mario in Japan because it's a platformer and I think that LBP has the potential to push huge n...
Infinite Undiscovery is more than likely still fueling 360 sales as well as other JRPG's, but the 360 only outsold the PS3 by a small margian and the PS3 has had literally no JRPG's at all.
Sony announced the 80GB PS3 and I'm pretty sure that some people are holding off their purchase until it releases. The new 80GB PS3 will be sold for the same price as the old 40GB version, and it's worth waiting for.
White Knight Chronicles will be more than enough to leave the Xb...

Maybe with a few more hardware revisions Microsoft can actually make a Xbox 360 that is just as reliable as the PS3.
I'm really looking forward to the story in Resistance 2. There are VERY few shooters that I've played that actually have had a pretty good story that actually kept me really interested, and Resistance is definantly one of them.
Resistance has a pretty decent single player campaign length as well, and you always know that you are going to get your money's worth in both the Single Player AND Multiplayer.
Resistance 2 comes out a week after Fallout 3.... my god, I think ...
I seriously don't see what's the big deal. One thing about Sony PS3 commercials is that whenever you see it for the first time without knowing what it is, you almost know that it's got to a PS3 commercial based on some of the previous PS3 commercials. Sony tends to do things different and there's no changing them.
