I got my IronMan Blu-ray in the mail from Amazon yesterday. I've heard about the disc issues, but I haven't had a problem at all.
If people think that IronMan did well in Blu-ray sales, just wait until the biggest movie of the year ( The Dark Knight) hits Blu-ray. When that movie drops I expect the adoption of Blu-ray players to skyrocket and of course the sales from that movie is really going to push Blu-ray through the roof.
Wow... it's kinda hard picturing Kojima working on a FPS game, but if the rumor ends up being true and he did, I'm sure it would be pretty groundbreaking because I don't think he would venture into the First Person genre unless he had some big and innovative plans for the game.
...I remember there was Coded Arms Assualt from Konami that was going to be on the PS3 but the game was cancelled... it would be nice if Kojima picked up that project from Konami and put it back into devel...
Yeah, over history the most powerful console hasn't won a console war, but when it comes to the PS3, it's different because Sony was HIGHLY successful with the PS1 and PS2, and they were the 2 most successful consoles in history and the Playstation userbase is huge.... anyone that has bought a PS1 and/or PS2 is just as likely to buy a PS3.
If it's a game that I'm highly anticipating, I always buy the Limited Edition. So far this year I bought the MGS4 Limited Edition, Resistance 2 Collectors Edition, Fallout 3 Collectors Edition, and I Pre-ordered Dead Space from Gamestop to get upgraded to the Collectors Edition version of the game for free.

I pre-ordered this game last week. Ever since I saw the teaser trailers for the game I've been hooked on it. I know tons of people are going to disagree, but personally I think that Dead Space looks better AND scarier than Resident Evil 5.

I'm not surprised to hear that a Multiplatform game on the PS3 is also shipped in on a DVD because developers have to make it that way because of the Xbox 360. If a game was developed EXCLUSIVELY on the PS3 DVD wouldn't be enough.
Ted Price said that the way Resistance 2 is now wouldn't even be possible without Blu-ray. Guerrilla Games said the same thing about Killzone 2 and Kojima Productions said the same thing about MGS4, Blu-ray was essential in the development process.
TGS is October 9th through the 12th.... TGS starts next Thursday and ends next Sunday.
I think that this list is a Epic Fail just because it doesn't have ONE PS3 exclusive on that list... but still it's just an opinion from Game Informer, but I really don't see how someone could list the Top 10 PS3 games for October without listing LittleBigPlanet or some other PS3 exclusive.

White Knight wasn't on the list but it's already been confirmed for TGS and I can't wait to hear more about it too.
Hopefully that unannounced game from Konami is Kojima's next project.
That guy looks nothing like Goku at all... they need to give Goku the spiky black hair and he would be a little bit more believable while playing as Goku.
I think that a CGI Dragon Ball film or an Animated Dragon Ball film would have been even better.
Dragon Ball/DBZ was one of my favorite Anime cartoons growing up and I would hate to see it put to shame with a crappy movie.
I'm so glad that Peyton was a part of MGS4 to make it more appealing to Westerners, hopefully Kojima Productions will took what they learned from him and apply it to MGS5.
I'm sure that Peyton was a nice addition to the Halo crew, but it's not like there wasn't already some talented guys working on Halo in the first place.
The PS3 sold a little over 2.5 times as much as the Xbox 360 this year and has had no major JRPG's on the system, but the 360 has had plenty. I can't wait until White Knight hits the PS3 in Japan later this year and just sit back and watch the numbers climb sky high for the PS3 because I already know that the reception of that game is going to be even bigger than MGS4 was for the PS3 because:
1. White Knight is a JRPG
2. It's said to have FFXIII quality visuals

I'm guessing Konami is trying to simulate interest in MGS4 again in Japan, but MGS4 did over 600,000 copies in Japan and there's only about 2.5 million PS3's sold in Japan, and that's a very high attach rate for just one game.
I just wonder if that rumor about 6 months after you beat MGS4 will unlock something else in the game is true...maybe Konami will confirm that rumor at TGS?...Damn Kojima, stop messing with our heads...

Oh God, if it's developed by From Software, I already have doubts about the game. But even if it flops or gets mediocre review scores in the U.S., it will sell in Japan regardless.

In MGS4 you do not "run around setting traps" and you have no idea what the game is about or how you can play the game. You can go all stealthy in MGS4 by killing as little people as possible or you can go Rambo style and kill/destroy everything in sight.
Some of the cutscenes in MGS4 can be lengthy, but they definantly aren't "movies".
The U.K. market for the 360 is almost like the U.S. market, so it's no surprise to see a rise in 360 sales in that region, but I think the 360 should have been selling this well all year in Europe and in the U.K. because one SKU was already cheaper than the Wii.
Since when did the U.K. = the entire European territory? The U.K. is just one territory in all of Europe. The 360 has always been selling well in the U.K. The PS3 has already surpassed the 360's total sales in Europe according to Sony months ago.
I think that Uncharted 2 was confirmed to be in development a while ago, but still it's nice to hear it again. It would be nice if Naughty Dog could be able to "pull an Insomniac" and finish Uncharted 2 in 2 years so that it can make a Fall release next year... but Naughty Dog is a pretty small studio (under 100 employees) so it may take them longer.
A Teaser Trailer for Uncharted 2 before the end of the year would be nice as well.

Guerrilla has said that there will be some areas in Killzone 2 that will show off Helghan's "Natural Beauty", so I wouldn't say that the game will have the same color tone throughout, but even if it does have the same color scheme throughout, I don't care because that's the way Guerrilla wanted to make the game and that's the way Helghan is... Helghan is like a Hostile Wasteland and adding too much color would ruin that feel for the game.
