Gaminoz,

Yes, the PS3 can last through another gen easily because Sony has tons of 1st party studios to support it and the Playstation installbase is over 100 million worldwide. If the PS1 and PS2 sold 100+ million and went on to be very successful consoles, I really don't see why the PS3 can't. The PS3 obviously wont be able to hit 100 million as fast as the PS2, but all the PS3 has to do is sell 10 million consoles each year for 10 years (10 year lifecycle) and it's a done deal...

The PS3 hasn't even been out for a full 2 years yet, and I'd say a PS4 is still about another 4 years away. A PS4 in 2010 would be WAY too early in my opinion because by that time the PS3 probably would have just hit the mass market price by that year ($199).

Sony has released each of their new systems in 5-6 year cycles and I think they should stick to that.

Sony could probably go 7-8 years without even needing to release a new system because they can release firmwa...

It seems as though Bioshock on the PS3 was rushed just to make a quick buck. Bioshock wasn't on my buy list this Fall anyways (I planned to get it next year), but it looks as though I wont be getting it after all if the final version of the game isn't any better.

PS3 gamers have too much of a wide selection of games to choose from this Fall and it's not like the only game we have to choose from is Bioshock, and if 2K doesn't get the final version of Bioshock up to speed, Bioshoc...

Silogon, you are a joke "Sony's system just isn't made to game on". If the PS3 wasn't meant to game on then it wouldn't be getting other FPS games like Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 now would it? The PS3 wouldn't be getting Final Fantasy XIII, White Knight Chronicles, Heavy Rain, God of War 3, Infamous, or Uncharted 2 if the PS3 wasn't meant to game on now would it? The PS3 wouldn't be getting nearly the EXACT same multiplaform games that are on the 360 if it wasn't meant to game on n...

Unless 2K confirms that the final build of Bioshock won't have such flaws, I'm never buying Bioshock on the PS3. I did not plan to buy Bioshock this Fall, I planned to get it early next year... but right now it looks like Killzone 2 is the only FPS game that I'll be getting early next year.

2K Games should know better than to release Bioshock on the PS3 if it's not up to par with the 360 version because PS3 owners aren't going to put up with that BS whenever there's plenty of oth...

@ b00mFargl3

The reason why Killzone 2 keeps getting brought up is because if the PS3 is capable of the type of graphics that are in Killzone 2, it is EASILY capable of the graphics in Bioshock on the 360. If you want to hear a game other than Killzone 2, how about Heavy Rain.

Also, Killzone 2 is getting brought up because it's a FPS just like Bioshock, so it would only make sense that it would be compared to another FPS game like Bioshock.

I wasn't planning on buying Bioshock this Fall anyways, I was going to wait until early next year to get it, but if the PS3 version of Bioshock isn't a quality port, then I'm just not getting it, period.

Killzone 2 looks miles better than Bioshock, so why should a 360 port even mean anything? If the PS3 version of Bioshock doesn't look as good as the 360 version, point the fingers at the developers not the PS3's hardware.

I guess Torrence is implying that PS3 exclusives have good graphics but not good gameplay? Well, I would have to differ on that. I've enjoyed the gameplay in every PS3 exclusive that I've bought.

Both Xbox and Playstation fans argue about Graphic quality... I'd say that Graphic quality is argued over more than anything else.

Lately there's been games on the PS3 (Heavy Rain, Killzone 2, etc...) that has shown great improvements over any game on the Xbox 360 graphicall...

As long as I get a Team ICO announcement at TGS, I'll be completely satisfied.

I really hope the unannounced game from Konami is a real blockbuster (Z.O.E. 3 or Metal Gear 5).

It looks as though Sony will defiantly own TGS this year becayse White Knight Chronicles, Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Team ICO's new game (if it's announced), and tons other unannounced PS3 games will more than likely be the talk of the show by Japanese game fans.

@ Power of Green,

Don't be upset because on N4G and gaming websites last year things were different and 360 fans were everywhere and there were hardly any PS3 fans. Did you really expect that it would stay that way? Heck no. How do you think we felt last year and late 2006 whenever the PS3 was getting bashed from left and right? Maybe now you see how Playstation 3 owners were feeling.

More poeple have owned Playstation consoles than Xbox consoles and The Playstation ...

To be honest I don't really even visit gaming sites like IGN or Gamespot... I visit Gametrailers from time to time, but pretty much I'm in the Forums on the Playstation Website, Killzone website, or on N4G.

Mainly, the only time I visit some other gaming website like Gamespot or IGN is when there's a news story on N4G and there's a link to that site for the full story.... the last time that I really visited Gamespot was just to watch E3 Live from their website and that's it.

Wow, that was pretty cool, and the very end of the level looked pretty challenging (I like platformers with a little difficulty). I can definantly see people making levels in LBP for years to come.

LBP is a nice game to sit back and relax too after playing hours and hours of hardcore games, and I really hope people make plenty of challenging levels. I can't wait to start building my own levels though.

People can remake their favorite levels in Donkey Kong Country or...

Microsoft should have had a recall on the Xbox 360's and they should have been pulled from shelves until Microsoft got the failure rate down MUCH lower or until the 360 was RROD free.

I probably would have bought a 360 if it didn't have so many hardware issues, but I'm not buying something that's known for hardware failure even if the product has a 3 year warranty because it's just a hassle to send in the console over and over and call customer service again and again.

The fact that the PS3 is able to still be competitive against the 360 at the $399 and $499 price just lets me know that when the PS3 hits $299, it's going to really take off even more.

Sony isn't in the position to drop the price "yet" and these bundles are very good deals because if someone spends $399 or $499 on a PS3 , most of them want to get something with their purchase and Sony bundling a free game or giving people more hard drive space for the same price just ma...

No this game is nothing like Jak 3. Banjoe doesn't use any Guns like Jak did in Jak 3 and it's not as hardcore as Jak 3.

In Jak 3 you would pretty much only use the vehicles to get to a specific location, but it wasn't the primary game element like in Banjoe Nuts and Bolts.

I think that the vehicle creation in this Banjoe game is pretty neat, but I still think that this game would be better if it was more of a traditional platformer and used th...

I seriously doubt that Sega would ever get back into the hardware race and I'm not surprised to hear that the Sega "Vision" isn't real. When's the last time Sega made a hit game? YEARS. Sega needs just focus on Software and make some hit games before even thinking about getting back into hardware again.

Wow, I've never seen a Limited Edition version of a game get it's contents cut out before the game released. I guess all of the extra items couldn't be ready in time for Fable 2's official release or something because I really can't think of any other reason as to why the other items would get dropped.

I think that LBP will get well recieved by the major U.S. Gaming websites as well (Gamespot, X-Play, Game Informer, Gametrailers) because many of them have been the ones hyping up LBP all along. I don't think that they would have created hype for the game unless they really had high hopes for the game.

If the PS3's price was $299 I could see LBP being a huge system seller, but the PS3 is still at $399 and I'm not 100% convinced yet that it will be a system seller, but I think it ...

There really is no need for a 360 version of FFXIII in Japan because by the time the 360 version comes out, everyone (MILLIONS) that wanted FFXIII in Japan would have already bought a PS3 for it, plus the PS3 version is coming out first and will be out next year. The 360 version hasn't even started development yet.

Sure, Square can make a little more money by releasing FFXIII on the 360 in Japan, but the installbase of the 360 is so low that it's almost not worth their time and m...

I still would say that Heavy Rain looks slightly better graphically, but Alan Wake is looking pretty damn good. The detail in his jacket looks very realistic.
