I really don't think that higher Xbox 360 sales numbers mean that the 360 has had "More Hits" this year than the PS3.

I wonder where are those analysts who wrote the "Death of Blu-ray" non-sense now. With more people buying HDTV's, I don't really see how Blu-ray can fail because if people spend all that money on a HDTV, they want to get the best picture possible and Blu-ray is the only way to achieve it. Digital Distribution isn't going to take off for some time and every year, more people still buy movies via Disc media than Digital Downloads.

I actually loved those demo discs back in the day that came with the Official Playstation Magazine.
For those people that still don't have internet access at HOME and can't download demos, this is a great alternative.

SquareEnix should have a really good year next year, especially if both Final Fantasy XIII and Versus XIII are released next year in Japan for the PS3 in addition to Dissida... I guess that Star Ocean 4 will be a major title too, but it's a shame that it's sales will be so limited to just the 360. Once SquareEnix sees FFXIII's sales on the PS3, I think they'll probably consider bringing Star Ocean 4 to the PS3.

I'm not going to get too excited about a Team ICO announcement right now because most people were REALLY expecting a Team ICO announcement at TGS this year but didn't happen...However if it turns out to be true, I'm going to just hug my PS3 next Sunday... Splinter Cell Conviction coming in February 09 and there hasn't even been any new gameplay, trailers, or new details for the game this year? I seriously doubt it.
The last thing I heard about Splinter Cell Conviction was that it was "going back to the drawing board" back in May, and isn't expected to come out sometime between April 1, 2009 and March 30, 2010.

How the hell do you know that Alan Wake "kills" Killzone 2 graphically when you haven't seen anything but a damn trailer that was probably running off of the PC version? As far as I'm concerned Heavy Rain looks just as good as Alan Wake, if not better.

As far as Haze goes, in my opinion the game looked very "meh" before it was even released even if there was some positive previews. sing Killzone 2 and Haze in the same sentence should be a crime. Killzone 2 is on a entire different level of production value.

Yes, the PS2 had some disc drive problems, but it was not on a mass scale like the RROD, and I'm sure that the PS2 didn't have a 33% failure rate during a point in it's lifecycle like the 360 did. And yes I know that the 360's failure rate has come down since then, but it's still high compared to the PS3 and Wii failure rate.

The Japanese always show favor to games from Japanese studios like PES 2009, a Konami game. Games from Japanese studios are the games that mainly sell down there.... The Japanese literally ignore games from non-Japanese studios even if the game is good and it's a shame really. If LBP was developed by some other Japanese studio instead of Media Molecule, I have no doubt that it would have sold tons more in Japan.

Right now I'm looking forward to Uncharted 2, God of War 3, Killzone 2, Infamous, M.A.G, Wardevil, Heavy Rain and GT5 the most in 2009.

To me Okami was o.k., but it didn't have that Epic feel that Shadow of the Colossus has in my opinion.
To me both ICO and Shadow of the Colossus just had that "EPIC" feel to it because there's so many Huge structures/ Towering Colossi and you feel like you are this small person in this REALLY huge world because everything in each game is made to such grand scale.
Team ICO really pushed the PS2 with Shadow of the Colossus and whatever Team ICO is working on, I'm sure that they are really going to push the PS3 technologically. I guess it's somewhat of a let down for me tha...
8 years into the PS2's lifecycle and it's still getting AAA games like this, it's just amazing.

I think that it's a new Metal Gear Acid game too and the exclamation point makes it pretty obvious to me. It's been over 3 years since the last Metal Gear Acid game came out, so I wouldn't be surprised to see Konami go back to it after this long.
I guess that Resistance 2 wasn't a really highly anticipated game among most PS3 owners because I thought that it was. I bought Resistance 2 when it first came out, but haven't played it yet because I just can't stop playing Fallout 3.
