As far as I know, Playstation exclusives and Sony owned franchises have ALWAYS stayed exclusive to Playstation consoles and have NEVER been released on the PC.
Gran Turismo has always sold MILLIONS (and has been the best selling Sony 1st party franchise each generation) even while being exclusive to the Playstation console that it was on, and Gran Turismo 5 on the PS3 will do the exact same thing, it will sell millions.
The only titles that Sony owns that are release...
"the ylod IS a defect in the launch models and sony should fix it for free."
I have a Launch 60GB PS3 and to this day I've never had a problem with it.
If the YLOD was truly a major issue with Launch models, there would have been hundreds upon thousands of reports on it, but as far as I know, nothing like that has ever occurred. The PS3 defect rate is extremely low and PS3 hardware issues haven't been on a mass scale like things like E74, Disc Scratching a...
PS3 games that I think are definantly coming out in 2009:
Heavy Rain (the trailer last year at Leipzig had "2009" at the end)
Rachet & Clank: A Crack in Time (confirmed 2009 release)
Uncharted 2
Infamous (confirmed for 2009 release)
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 (confirmed for 2009 release)
PS3 games I think are coming out in 2010:
God of War 3
Gran Turismo 5
The only games I'm not sure about is: Quantum Theory and ...
"PirateThom remember when PlayStation had no competion?
well guess what. lol "
Playstation has always had competition, the only difference is that this generation the competition is actually worthwhile against the PS3 and not just a mere distraction like all of the other consoles that fell to the PS1 and PS2.
A Map Pack is pretty much what I expected.
For those asking for more weapons, I highly doubt it, but maybe it's possible, but for now, I'm satisfied with the weapons in the game.
"Oh yes, Guerrilla is working on map pack 2 already and the word to think about is "Retro."
That has to mean some Killzone 1 maps in KZ2.... My guess is that all of the maps from Killzone 1 might make it into Killzone 2 except for the Jungle Map because it would b...
Just because SquareEnix hasn't said anything about a U.S. and European demo for FFXIII, all of a sudden it's Microsoft's fault? I'm not taking up for Microsoft, but Ummmm... maybe Square just decided that the demo was only going to be for Japan ONLY? As far as I know, Square NEVER even said anything about a Western release of the demo.
"I just don’t understand why can’t they provide localization for the demo after all this mess, how much time would it seriously take?" ...
Gran Turismo hasn't even been confirmed for the PC, yet it's entitled "Sony Loses Exclusive Again?" Ridiculous.
While in other news, Tales of Veseperia, a former Xbox 360 Exclusive has actually been confirmed for the PS3. Whenever a Playstation franchise hits another platform, all of a sudden it's a big deal, but when the 360 looses an Exclusive it's like they try to act like it doesn't matter at all.
There's always the "possibility" that GT could...
Since Sony has already announced plenty of games, I'm mostly looking forward to new updates on Exclusives we already know of like MAG, Uncharted 2, God of War 3, Heavy Rain, etc... and possibly get some confirmed release dates on those games.
In terms of new game announcements, I'm greatly looking forward to Kojima's new game announcemnt, a possible MGS5 announcement, and the possibility of Team ICO finally shedding light on their game
Alan Wake and Splinter Cell Con...
On a weekly basis, I probably spend more time on the Internet than I spend watching TV, but I don't watch movies or television programming on my Laptop... I prefer to watch them on my HDTV.
This is just pertaining to Europe, not any other region, and since I don't live in Europe, I can't speak on internet usage over there, but this is a pretty interesting study nonetheless.
Regardless how much more the internet usage progresses, I think there will always be some pla...
When Lost Frontier comes out I'm defiantly buying the PS2 version. It was a disappointment for me to hear that this wasn't a PS3 Jak and Daxter game because it's a franchise I've always wanted to see make it's way to the PS3, but I've been a fan of the franchise since the first PS2 Jak game and there's no way I'm missing out on this one.
I would prefer that Naughty Dog go back to the Jak and Daxter franchise and make at least 1 last Jak game before doing anything else with Unchar...
Wow... if Japanese gamers are acting this way about Tales of Vesperia coming to the PS3 and the fact that they HAD to buy a 360 for it in the beginning when they didn't want to, I don't even want to know what they'll be doing IF Star Ocean: The Last Hope gets announced for the PS3 (I think it will), LOL.
If Star Ocean gets announced for the PS3, I think that Japanese gamers might give up on the 360 altogether because they'll feel that they don't need a 360 if the same JRPG's wil...
When this game was first announced, to me it looked like it had potential, but I'm not surprised things have turned out this way because it IS developed by FromSoftware, and they have a pretty mediocre track record.
This game looks like a Ninja Gaiden-God of War clone, and trying to outdo or come close to Itagaki's Ninja Gaiden and Sony Santa Monica's God of War is a HUGE task and was just too much for a developer like FromSoftware.
Gamepro gave Ninja Gaiden 2 a 4/5,...
I never thought the story on GTA5 approved a little while back on N4G was real anyways, because Rockstar themselves would have announced it at E3 first or something.
It would be awesome if Rockstar did announce the next GTA at E3 this year, but I'm also hoping for updates on their other upcoming games like Max Payne 3 and if L.A. Noire is still in existence.
It's simple.... Dead Space didn't sell that well considering it was a multiplatform game and got plenty of good review scores. Putting a trailer in GodFather 2 is just another opporunity for EA to market a VERY good game and is one of the best Survival Horror games I've played this gen.
Dead Space definantly deserved better sales, than it got. I bought Dead Space when it first came out and enjoyed the game, but if EA wants Dead Space 2 to sell more, I guess they should find some ...
Hmmm... Olivia's "Headlights" are turned on.... interesting :)
The gaming market for Iphone/Ipod Touch and Nintendo DS is TOTALLY different than the market for a PSP2, and Sony is chasing a totally different audience with their portable hand-held.
To me, the Iphone and Nintendo DS market gaming wise is for casual gamers, and the PSP is more for hardcore gamers and Playstation console owners.
It'll never be too late for Sony to release the PSP2 because that particular market for the PSP2 will always be in place and aren't going a...
Last gen. there was 3 GTA games (not including spin-offs) and there was about a 2 year gap between releases back then, so the next GTA on the PS3/360 should take no more than 3 years, and Late 2010 sounds about right.
San Andreas is still my favorite GTA game because it had SOOO much stuff to do and explore in the game, and it had plenty of diverse mission types... GTA4 just didn't have the same diversity and it got repetitive really quick to me.
My dream GTA game wo...
Sony wouldn't release GT on the PC because of the simple fact that PS3 exclusives don't come out on the PC.
The only Sony developed games that will come out on the PC is those made by SOE (The Agency, DC Universe Online).
I guess Sony can't discontinue the PS2 yet since they are still loosing money on the PS3, but I really don't think that Sony should be releasing their big 1st party franchises like Gran Turismo on the PS2, because that's not going to push them to bu...
I would buy those Cuff Links for my Dress shirts with French Cuff's, but $150 is pretty steep for just standard Sterling Silver Cuff Links... if these were like $50 bucks then maybe I'd get em' but not over $100.
They should make a Cuff Link that's in the shape of Kratos' Blade's of Chaos or in the shape of the Original Playstation 1... now that would be cool.
"If Sony is hoping the main hook for this game will be the number of people it can support online, it can quietly can it and do so quickly".
I think that MAG will be much more than just a standard FPS and providing a bunch of players on one map... I think that MAG could potentially be one of the most in-depth and most large scale FPS MMO on consoles, and since Zipper Interactive is the developer, I'm pretty sure that there will be TONS of customization.
I d...
