I don't care if Uncharted 2 has Co-op or not because I've always been a majority Single Player gamer and I'm buying this game day one regardless.
If there's Co-op/Multiplayer (I doubt it) I just hope it doesn't take away from the Single Player experience.... I'd rather prefer that Naughty Dog focus only on the Single Player to possibly make a longer Uncharted game and to find ways to encourage re-playability by means other than Co-op or Multi-player.
Most importantly it would depend on what type of game Kojima plans on making because a lot of Western devs. aren't really known for making cinematic games games like MGS... but Bioware, Sony Santa Monica, and Naughty Dog would be my top 3 picks.
However, I doubt that he'll choose a Sony 1st party or 2nd party dev. to work with if his game will be multiplatform because in order for a developer close to Sony to work with Kojima, they would probably require that the game be only on ...
I already knew that nobody is using the PS3's to it's potential and really it's pretty obvious because whenever a 3rd party game comes out looking better or running better on the 360, then those developers aren't utilizing the PS3 like Sony's 1st party and 2nd party devs. and they are still just scratching the surface with the PS3.
The 3rd party devs. can limit themselves if they want, but that's not stopping companies like Naughty Dog or Sony Santa Monica from going all out and ...
I'm not too sure about God of War 3 and Versus XIII coming out this year. If FFXIII isn't coming out in Japan until Winter 2009, then Versus XIII will definantly come later.
While thinking about these games, I just realized that many of the upcoming PS3 exclusives are Single Player games.... I've always more of a Single Player gamer anyways, so it's all good for me, and I'm looking forward to nearly every major PS3 exclusive release.
Pretty interesting article, and I'd have to agree. I'm not sure how far off the next-gen consoles are, but I think it would be good for the Gears series (and pretty much any series in general) after a couple of consecutive sequels in a row on one console, the developer should take a break from it and come back to the franchise on a new console, especially if it's a 3rd Person Shooter like Gears because the gameplay itself can only evolve so much.
I think it would be good for Gear...
I haven't played a Final Fantasy or JRPG before, but later on this year I plan on getting myself deep into some JRPG's and past Final Fantasy games like FFX, Dragon Quest VIII, and Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 to get myself ready for FFXIII and Versus XIII.
However, based upon what I've seen so far I'm looking forward to Versus XIII more. And NO, I'm not looking forward to Versus XII more because it's a PS3 exclusive, I'm looking forward to it more because:
- it's going to...
I guess this is good for people that haven't played the first Uncharted, but really I do wish that there was some direct connection between both games and you needed to play Uncharted 1 in order to understand the sequel, like God of War or the Metal Gear Solid games, because I really love it when games are tied very closely together.
I bought Uncharted 1 the first day it came out, and Uncharted 2 is no different..... I don't need to play an Uncharted 2 demo, and don't care if it ...
Yeah, Crash Bandicoot 2 is my favorite as well... Even though Crash Bandicoot 3 had more vehicles/playable characters, the Bazooka, and all of the power-ups, something about the 2nd Crash game is my most memorable and favorite.
The last Non-Naughty Dog developed Crash games that I bought was Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex... it wasn't developed by Naughty Dog, but it was a very enjoyable game.
And does anyone remember seeing those Crash Bandicoot commercials ba...
I'm SOOO glad that E3 is a month earlier this year in June... the sooner E3 hits, the better, lol.
I want more info on Heavy Rain, Uncharted 2, Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier and M.A.G. the most, but God of War 3 is my most anticipated out of all of them.
I was disappointed that the new Jak game wasn't for the PS3, so I'm going with the PS2 version, but hopefully Naughty Dog goes back and makes at least one more Jak game after Uncharted 2, because Jak and Daxter ...
I must admit that this is the only reason why I haven't gotten a PSP yet... I have every single Playstation console except for the PSP... but eventually I'll get one because as a God of War fan, I just must play GOW: Chains of Olympus and there's other games I want to get like Resistance Retribution, Daxter, Killzone Liberation, Wipeout, etc...
Sony did say that there are several unannounced PSP titles, so even if there might be a shortage of games on the PSP, at least there'll b...
Gran Turismo for PSP probably won't be anywhere near release until 2011 at the earliest, and I never believed that HHGS article for one second.
Polyphony Digital probably won't be finished with GT5 for PS3 until late 2009/early 2010, so how could GT for PSP come out this year? It was pretty much common sense to me.
This is just my opinion, but since it's taken so long for it to come out, I think Sony should just save a portable Gran Turismo title for the PSP2 and it...
I have both God of War 1 and 2 for the PS2. If a Collectors Edition of God of War 3 came with both God of War 1 and 2on Blu-ray, I would buy it. I'm a huge fan of God of War, and I'm going with the Collectors Edition regardless.
I know that not everybody plays action games, but if you haven't played God of War before, go out and buy it. And don't even think about playing God of War 3 before playing both God of War 1 and 2, you should play them in sequential order to get a grasp o...
*Yawn* Another "PS3 is doomed" article. The media always tries to make the PS3 look like it's doing bad, when it's not.
The Wii sold less this March than it sold last March in the U.S., so I guess the Wii is in a "Death Spiral" as well right?... Oh yeah, I almost forgot, everything always revolves around the PS3 and everything PS3 related is always placed under a microscope.
In this current economic condition, the PS3 is doing phenomenally well to...
The concept behind Motorstorm and FUEL are totally different. The first 2 Motorstorm games was NEVER designed to be an Open World game, but FUEL was.
Now that Evolution Studios has some real competition in the Off-road racing genre, you can pretty much expect for the next installment of Motorstorm on the PS3 to be on an even higher level because that's what gaming is all about, developers constantly 1UPing each other and trying to out do each other.
Maybe I should wr...
Heavy Rain, M.A.G., and Rachet all in November? If this is true, I think Sony should push back the release for either M.A.G. or Heavy Rain for December.
I really hate the fact that all the big games this gen. seem to always come out in such a short time period near the end of the year with a pretty dry Summer Period for games.
Right now I'm taking this list with just a grain of salt, and I'll just wait until E3 to get confirmed release dates.
My god, why does every PS3 exclusive title have to be a "Killer App"? The gaming media just needs to let InFamous be a good game without hyping it up because if it gets TONS of hype then for some reason it's supposed to sell 1 million copies in a week and if not it's a flop.
I think that InFamous will be a very good game because InFamous has a pretty good track record, but right now I'm not ready to slap the "AAA" label on it just yet.
I think tha...
Rockstar should port GTA: China Town Wars to the PSP, but since it was announced at Last Years E3 by Nintendo, I guess it's an exclusive deal.
I know that Liberty City Stories on the PSP sold over a Million copies, and I'm pretty sure that Vice City Stories did as well. China Town Wars would have done really well on the PSP.
There's a fanbase for Hardcore games on the DS and Wii, but realistically the Hardcore fanbase on those systems isn't big enough to support bigg...
Sony's primary focus and strength is on 1st party, Microsoft's is 3rd party and DLC.
Microsoft can spend more on DLC because they have less 1st party to support and are funding less Internal projects, Sony has 3 platforms on the market and are funding FAR more 1st party and 2nd party projects, so obviously they can't just throw Millions down the drain in DLC everytime a big 3rd party game game comes out.
Even though I don't like the tactic of Exclusive DLC, Microsoft...
"it is good to see what the 360 ver will look like."
No one even knows how the 360 version will look, you can't just assume it's going to look identical to the PS3 version whenever Square is obviously taking full advantage of the BD space without worrying about much compression.
John Carmack already said that the 360 version of RAGE won't look as good as the PS3 version because of disc issues, and if Square doesn't provide the right amount of DVD discs for ...
"We've got some tremendous momentum: Killzone, MLB, Infamous, Heavy Rain, MAG, SOCOM, Ratchet, God of War -- I'm not even including them all; there are some I'm being careful not to mention because they haven't been announced. We're keeping a couple of surprises, but you begin to see the depth and breadth of that."
Whooo!! I can't wait for E3 :) Very good interview.
After reading the interview, it's obvious the PS3 will get a price drop, and I'm glad to hea...
