Microsoft will never beat Sony and here's why:
- Microsoft relies on 3rd parties too much
- Sony has more internal 1st Party Studios
- The Xbox 360 will always be viewed as a hardcore game console for shooters.
- Microsoft's success with the 360 hasn't been substantially extended outside of the U.S.
- Sony has more Exclusive games lined up that will actually stay exclusive and wont be ported to a PC.

I had no idea that the game was cancelled, but I'm not surprised because there hasn't been any info on the game since it was shown ages ago. However, Coded Arms Assualt was going to be a PS3 exclusive... man, that game sure looked cool though.
Finally! Some info/screenshots for this upcoming PS3 exclusive RPG. I haven't heard nearly anything from this game in ages. I don't think that it will be relased in 2008 though because Sony didn't announce White Knight Chronicles in there 2008- Q1 2009 release calendar. And yes, White Knight Chronicles is being published by Sony Computer Entertainment. Hmmm.... Something tells me that this game will be at E3 and a Official announcement for it's release will be announced too.
There's so many possibilites for another Metal Gear Solid game because the story is just immense.
I personally would like to see a Metal Gear Solid game with Raiden as the new main character for the entire game. Raiden was somewhat of a main character for MGS2, but he was playable only in the second part of the game after the Tanker. I definantly would love to play Raiden as the Cyborg Ninja... now that's bada**

I don't know where the heck that Gamestop is located, but I haven't run across some of the stuff he's talking about.
However, I do agree with the 4th thing he said about Gamestop employees trying to get people to place pre-orders on upcoming game titles or sales pitches, I just can't stand that when I'm shopping. I pre-order all of my games Online from Gamestop so I never end up placing a pre-order in the store.

Killzone on the PS2 is the only shooter that I've ever played where I felt that I was in a Warzone and taking part in a full fleged war. There's constant explosions going on around you, you can hear air craft/jets flying over head constantly, there's gunshots all around you.... just like Steven said, it's a cinematic shooter.

Well, Itagaki sure wanted to make it clear in that interview that he had no involvement with the PS3 version of Ninja Gaiden Sigma. I wonder what's his issue for not supporting the Japanese consoles.. He definantly went against the grain when he made that decision as a Japanese guy to support Microsoft only with his games. The 360 may have more games than the PS3, but only a handful of them are actually worth buying.
I think that it's a strong possibility that Mass Effect 2 could end up on the PS3. Bioshock has already been confirmed to come to the PS3, and unless Microsoft shells out the money, I wouldn't be surprised if Mass Effect 2 ended up on the PS3 because EA are all about multiplatform and MONEY$$$.
But if the PS3 does end up getting Mass Effect, it sure will be a huge blow to the 360 because both Mass Effect and Bioshock will be lost, and both of those games were big 2007 titles. ...
That whole 90 minute cutscene thing was definantly exaggerated. I mean, who in the world would put a 90 minute cutscene in a game. I've sat through cutscenes that were around 20+ minutes before in a MGS game, but that's about it. Sometimes you just get so caught up in the cutscenes in a MGS game that you just loose track of time and don't even realize how much time has passed.

I'm going to be straight up. The only games coming out in 2008 that I think will win Game of the Year is Metal Gear Solid 4 or Grand Theft Auto 4. Period.

Wow. I thought that the trailer was CGI, but I'm not surprised if it was realtime. Resistance 2 definantly has made a HUGE jump technologically since the first game. Killzone 2 and Resistance 2 are going to rock.
From what I've heard about all of the Multiplayer, it looks like Resistance 2 could rival Halo 3's Multiplayer. And Killzone 2 is looking like it could dethrone Call of Duty 4 as long as it has a strong multiplayer.
There's not a game coming out worth paying $59.99 for until June 12th.
