I wouldn't say that Sony has "Lost" sales by not having a 80GB PS3 on the market for a few months, but I definantly feel that it has held back PS3 console sales because there are a LOT of people that have put off a PS3 console purchase until the new 80GB PS3 bundle drops.
I think that if Sony had the 80GB PS3 console on the market, the PS3 could have outsold the Xbox 360 every month in the U.S. up until know.

Konami probably didn't impose any restrictions on Playstation The Official Magazine because they were a Playstation gaming magazine and they probably knew that they wouldn't bump down the score for MGS4 just because of a Game installation and Long cutscenes.
I have the July issue of Playstation The Official Magazine right here beside me and in the review Rob Smith stated that there is an Install process between each Act in the game, so it's not like they didn't mention it.
Sony is moving in the right direction by going towards a subscription based video service because right now they need to make Playstation 3 gaming more profitable and this will definantly give it a boost. I will pay for it and subscribe.

It's Hideo Kojima, of course they would be chanting his name like a rock star was about to come out, he's one of the most legendary people in the gaming industry. Hmmm... Something is telling me that "someone" isn't going to be playing MGS4 on June 12th because I know I will. Almost anybody that's a Metal Gear nut or a PS3 owner would be acting just like those other guys in the crowd chanting his name.

Well, Microsoft got what they deserved when they tried to rush a console to the market when it wasn't ready. They've already admitted that they didn't implement the quality control that they should have.
Personally I think that Microsoft should have waited to release the Xbox 360 in 2006.
The PS3 was supposed to come out in Spring 2006 but Sony delayed it to Fall 2006, I sure am glad they delayed it because if not, the PS3's hardware may have turned out like the 360'...

I wish that Kojima was coming to more places in the U.S. though because more people could be able to see him. He's only coming to New York, Los Angles, and San Franciso in the U.S., but Kojima is going to be in the U.S. whenever MGS4 Officially launches, so that's great.
Yeah, I checked Wal-mart's website last night and the 40GB PS3 with the $100 dollar giftcard was sold out Online. At first I was surprised that they were sold out so fast, but then again Metal Gear Solid 4 is coming out in 10 days, so what do you expect?!
No, Microsoft had better start worrying because they've already started loosing previous 3rd party exclusives (Bioshock) and the possiblility of Mass Effect coming to the PS3 is pretty high now that EA has acquired Bioware. Sony has nothing to worry about. Alan Wake will be the 360's saving grace in 2009 unless something else is announced.

When that 3 year warranty runs out, no more free repairs and then it's at least $100 bucks each time you send the 360 in... but we all know that when the 3 year warranty runs out people that have 360's will be buying yet ANOTHER 360.
Metal Gear Solid 4 has already had Television Advertising in one of the PS3's commercials. MGS4 was in that PS3 commercial with the "Ladies and Gentlemen" song by Saliva in it, and when the commercial aired it had " PS3 Exclusive" and "Coming Soon" in small words during the MGS4 segment of the commercial.

I just don't get it, Itagaki said that "Xbox 360 is the most powerful" but Ninja Gaiden Sigma on the PS3 runs almost flawlessly and looks just as good or better than NG2, and Sigma came out on the PS3 last year.
I wouldn't say that a game that gets a 7/10 is a flop, but it could have been a better score, and everyone has there own opinion of the game.
Hmmmm. It seems like Best Buy and Wal-mart are definantly trying to move some PS3 hardware. With MGS4 coming out, the $100 dollar giftcard with the purchase of a PS3 is almost too good to pass up and anyone that's been on the fence about buying a PS3 will definantly jump over that fence and make the purchase.
I definantly knew that MGS4 would live up to the hype, now it's just a matter of me getting my hands on the game. It's been SO LONG since I've played a stealth game I can't even remember, and I'm just itching to get in that stealth mode of gamplay again, and of course I can't wait to sit back and watch the action unfold in the Hollywood calibur cutscenes in MGS4. Just 10 more days to go.
I guess if Remedy isn't ready to talk about the game yet then it's still far off from being released. There's not even a timeline for this games release. The last time I read something about Alan Wake's release date, it will come out, "when it's finished" and god knows how long that will take.
My guess is that Alan Wake wont be out until mid-late 2009. As a PS3 owner Alan Wake is one of the only Xbox 360 titles that I've actually been interested in learning more about...
That sounds awesome. Just like a few other people that posted, I live in North Carolina too and I've been here my whole life. I've thought about possibly getting into the gaming industry after I finish up college and if I do, I want to do something with a company that has a good relationship with Sony.
