It's no big deal for god's sake, PS3 owners like myself can upgrade our hard drives whenever we want. I could go out and buy a 250GB hard drive for my PS3 for the same price that Microsoft charges for a 120GB hard drive for the Xbox 360.
Bourne Conspiracy is a waste of hard drive space anyways. The only game coming out in June that will have the honor of taking up 5GB+ of space on my Hard drive is Metal Gear Solid 4.
If every Xbox 360 was shipped with hard drives...
It's kind of obvious that older gamers would spend more time on the PS3. Casual gamers don't spend that much time gaming during one session of gaming anyways on the Wii and there attention spans don't last that long.
But I do know that there are a LOT of younger people with Xbox 360's because: 1. Xbox 360 Arcade is cheap to get and it makes them accessible to the younger crowd that can't drop $400-$500 dollars for a console, and 2. On a lot of Youtube videos about Xbox Live, yo...
Well that's nice to hear because the first Resistance had a very solid Single Player Campaign for a First Person Shooter title in terms of length wise. And I'm really looking forward to the story in Resistance 2 as well. I'm thinking that Resistance 2 will be at least 12 hours in length minimum. It would be nice if each stage in Resistance 2 would take 45 min-55 min to complete just like Killzone 2.
Who the heck is looking forward to Red Alert 3 anyways because I know that I'm not. The Xbox 360 can keep the crappy 3rd party titles. The PS3 is still getting more 1st party and that's what matters.
Red Alert 3 will probably end up just like another cancelled PS3 game Frontlines Fuel of War, just another average game that 360 owners will buy or rent just to get their Gamerscore up or something. I'm not a fan of RTS games at ALL and they belong on the PC.
And he...
I guess that 50GB Blu-ray is paying off after all and is being put to good use since there is going to be bigger stages this time around. If there isn't going to be any Loading Screens in the game, then you can pretty much count on a Game Hard drive Installation, but it's no problem with me.
I honestly think that Resistance 2's Online Multiplayer could rival Halo 3's Online. Halo 3 was basically just an average shooter to me when it came to the Campaign and Story, but it was basically just the Multiplayer where Halo 3 stood out.
I already know that Resistance 2 will have a very good story/campaign because the first Resistance did, and Resistance 2 is definantly going to have a better Online experience than the first game, and most of all, Resistance 2's graphics have t...
I totally agree with Sony's decision to delay Killzone 2. Sony doesn't need 2 of thier Flagship FPS released almost on top of each other, and it will give PS3 gamers a chance to get a lot out of Resistance 2 before moving to Killzone 2 in February 2009.
But I have to tip my hat to Sony because they are starting out the 2009 year with a HUGE blockbuster game title that will give the PS3 momenteum after the Christmas season.
Personally I would have preferred to see...
This is why I just love the PS3 because it has so many other uses than just gaming. It's Gaming and the ultimate Multimedia powerhouse all in one.
Yep, Kojima put the stealth genre on the map. Splinter Cell is really the only other game that I've seen as a possible rival stealth game, but when it comes to story, characters, and gameplay, no other stealth game can touch MGS.
It's been SOOOO LONG since I've played a stealth game and I'm just itching for some stealth/action gameplay.
Congratulations Kojima, all your hard work has paid off.
He went cheap and got the Standard Edition.... Just 8 more days to go now. I'm SOOOO Bored of GTA4 right now and MGS4 is the game that will keep me busy for a couple of months. When it comes to the Standard Edition copy of the game, I like the PAL Boxart better.
I've already pre-ordered the Special Edition, so I'll just have to wait.
Yep, I got my 60GB PS3 a month after launch and I'm glad I did. There are Refurbished 60GB PS3's selling for $499 and there's Brand New 60GB PS3's selling for $700+ dollars on Ebay. The 60GB PS3 clearly is the best PS3 so far. And right now, the 60GB PS3 has the most value and is worth the most amount of money. $600 dollars for a PS3 when it was released was nothing when you consider the fact that the cheapest Blu-ray Player back then was $900-$1000 dollars.
Itagaki will definantly develop for Microsoft Games or start up his own studio like Kojima and David Jaffe did.
The Metal Gear Solid games are a proven franchise, MGS4 really doesn't need Television Advertising, but of course, T.V. Ad's would be a plus. I've seen some Advertising for MGS4 in Gamestop with those BIG MGS4 Posters in the front window that literally no one can miss if they walk in the store or just walk past the store.
As a new IP, Haze needed the Commercials, and a lot of people are buying Haze even though it got terrible review scores.
Honestly, I haven't se...
It's not like an Ad is going to pop up while you play a game. There will probably be an Ad for something during a loading screen or something. I don't know why some of the people above are making stupid assumptions like in-game spam or something. A video game developer wouldn't spend millions of dollars on a game only to have a Mountain Dew or Pepsi Ad to pop up in the middle of gameplay. I don't see anything wrong with Advertising in a game, as long as it's done properly.
Ha ha! Too bad Splinter Cell Conviction isn't coming out until 2009 at the earliest, where the heck have these guys been?
I definantly feel that Resistance 2 or LittleBigPlanet should have been on that list, but that's just me.
Besides Resistance 2, Far Cry 2 is the only other FPS that I'm looking forward too for the rest of 2008.
Nah. I'm not getting this game. It looks so similiar to COD4 that there's nothing really different about it that makes the game stand out from the crowd. I don't plan on getting another FPS until Resistance 2 in November.
The only thing that I like about Battlefield Bad Company is the destructable environments, but that's it.
I definantly don't see Itagaki coming to Sony to develop games because for some reason he was definantly a die hard Xbox fan.
My guess is that he'll start up his own studio like Kojima did (Kojima Productions) or he'll start developing for Microsoft in some studio...
I really expected Gamespot to give Ninja Gaiden 2 a 9/10, but a 8/10 is a good score anyways.
I think that if Ninja Gaiden 2 had a more capitivating storyline that it would have easily been a 9/10-10/10 game across the board. With Single Player games like Ninja Gaiden, the story and characters MUST be more than average and I think that it was the ONLY thing that held back Ninja Gaiden.
That sounds awesome. Just like a few other people that posted, I live in North Carolina too and I've been here my whole life. I've thought about possibly getting into the gaming industry after I finish up college and if I do, I want to do something with a company that has a good relationship with Sony.
And I just found out this year that Epic Games was in N.C. too, I had no idea that Cliffy B. was in N.C. developing Gears.
Ted Price has always led Insomniac in th...
I prefer physical media when it comes to games and Movies. Not everyone has a super fast internet connection where they can download HD movies and Games in the speed of light.
It's going to take at least another 10 years or so before EVERYTHING is in the released via Digital Distribution from the Internet. People are just making the change to Blu-ray and Microsoft's little dream of Digitial Distrubution will just have to wait because it's all Blu-ray right now.
