The PS3 may not have as much 3rd party support as the Xbox 360, but the Fact remains that the PS3 and Sony has MORE 1st Party Gaming Studios developing games.

People don't buy game consoles for 3rd party games, they buy them for First Party Game titles and Exclusives. Sony has bigger and better upcoming Exclusives than Microsoft does:

Killzone 2
Gran Turismo 5
Socom Confrontation
Resistance 2
Final Fantasy XIII

I don't care if Bioshock comes to the PS3 or not. If it does, good. If it doesn't, I don't care. Unlike Microsoft, Sony doesn't depend on 3rd party game publishing for it's success and Sony has tons of First party games lined up.

But honestly, all of the games that are proclaimed Xbox 360 exclusives that end up on the PC ALL have the potential for ending up on the Playstation 3 unless it's published by Microsoft Game Studios.

And I don't want Xbox 360 Scraps on m...

I don't think that I will get Haze when it's released.... I'm not to crazy for Haze right now... I think that it will be just another average shooter. Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 are the PS3's REAL shooters. Haze is just something extra for us PS3 owners, but it will be nothing to brag out.

Metal Gear Solid 4 comes out like 2 weeks after Haze and I'm spending over $100 dollars just on all of my Metal Gear Solid 4 game gear: MGS4 Limited Edition + MGS4 Limited Edition Strategy G...

Even though I'm a PS3 gamer all the way, I think that GTA4 (and probably GT5 Prologue) was one of the first PS3 games that actually made people justify the purchase of a PS3 console.

Games like Uncharted Drakes Drakes Fortune, Heavenly Sword, Warhawk and others were Solid PS3 game titles, but GTA4 was really the first BIG game title.

The reason why I think that a lot of people weren't too crazy about a lot of the PS3's exclusives last year is that most of them w...

I am glad that Sony didn't waste money for some GTA4 downloadable content.

Sony has 20 Internal Game Studios developing games for the Playstation consoles, Microsoft only has 3. So it's obvious that Sony is using their money towards game development for big upcoming PS3 projects like God of War 3, Killzone 2, Resistance 2, Socom Confrontation, Gran Turismo 5, Motorstorm 2, LittleBigPlanet, White Knight Chronicles and the list just goes on. Sony actually has plenty of exclusive ...

GTA4 only came out 2 days before May and I think that a lot of the PS3 sales from GTA4 will be reflected in May's NPD results.

There were a couple of articles and both Gamestop and one other European Video Game Store chain said that PS3 sales "spiked" during the release of GTA4, but I'm thinking that a lot of those sales were in May.

Also, there's a lot of potential PS3 owners that are waiting on the 80GB PS3 to return in June and aren't buying a PS3 un...

As long as this new guy will bring what Phil Harrison brought to the table, I will be happy. Welcome to the Playstation family Shuhei Yoshida.

Edit: And yeah, I have to agree with a few people above, I can't really tell the difference between Japanese, Chinese, and other Asians at all. At first I thought that Japanese people were a little bit taller than Chinese people, but that's about it really. Most Chinese people that I have seen tend to be pretty short. I wonder if a Chin...

Jaffe already said that Twisted Metal was coming to the Playstation 3 in an interview and I hope that it's that game.

David Jaffe is definanlty one of the most respected exclusive developers for Sony to me as well as Evan Wells with Naughty Dog and Ted Price with Insomniac. I consider them the Playstation's Big Three, but Kojima will always remain a Legend. Whatever Jaffe is working on it will be great and it's as simple as that.

The last GREAT Twisted Metal gam...

The difference between the hardware sales of the PS3 and 360 was just 900- 1000 consoles, and this fool has the nerve to say that the "PS3 is getting squeezed out". You got to be joking. PS3 and 360 sales were literally the same for April.

Also, GTA4 came out in late April, and a lot of people were still buying PS3's into May. And I have to agree with one thing he said about the true impact from GTA4 on console sales will be in May.

I think it's funny h...

Wow. I had expected the PS3's total sales in the United States to be around 300,000 but the U.S Economy has definanlty played a big part.

However, the Playstation 3 continues to outsell the Xbox 360 worldwide regardless.

But I still think that a lot of people didn't get the 40GB PS3 in the U.S. and are waiting for the new 80GB PS3 MGS4 bundle. A lot of people that want PS3's in the U.S. want backwards compatibility and the 80GB PS3 has it. I think that June, the ...

That sounds awesome, but developers haven't used the PS3 to it's full potential yet and they probably wont until about 2 or 3 years from now.

I think that Metal Gear Solid 4 will use the PS3 to about 50% of it's total capacity. And we all know that Killzone 2 will push the PS3 even further.

The good thing about the PS3 is that the PS3's exclusive games just keep evolving and keep getting better and better each year.

The graphical gap between the PS...

Wow. I didn't expect the Gunmetal PS3 MGS4 bundle to cost that much.

I think that it would be better if it was a 80GB console instead of a 40GB console for that price, but if I had the extra cash saved up, I would buy a second PS3 and keep the Gunmetal PS3 as a Collectable.

But, I don't have a problem with paying $599.99 for it because that's how much I paid for my 60GB PS3. I can see why this bundle is VERY LIMITED. Just imagine how much these PS3's will be sel...

All the Xbox has is Halo to sell the system. It's a shame that the Xbox depends on just one game series to be successful.

I'm not really too sure how big of a hit Ninja Gaiden 2 will be. Personally I think that the God of War series on the Playstation is a more bigger (and popular) franchise than Ninja Gaiden, but that's just what I think.

I'm thinking that Ninja Gaiden 2 might get lost in all of the Metal Gear Solid 4 hype though, because next to GTA4, MGS4 it's one of the most anticipated games coming out for ANY console.

Tomonobu Itakagi sure is one of the most creepiest Japanese...

Nah, I doubt that the Xbox 360 will win this console war. I think that Microsoft is forgetting the 100+ million PS2 user base because there's NO WAY you can forget that.

Also, Microsoft is going to have to do more than just sell well in the United States to win this console war.

The Playstation 3 outsold the Xbox 360 in Europe even after the 360 had been out a whole year earlier and that is just a sign for what's coming in the United States.

Also, ...

Hmmmm. That was interesting. I didn't know that Microsoft had intended the 360 for a "long run" but I know one thing for sure, the Xbox 360 sure wasn't built for the "long run" in terms of hardware and disc format.

I am confident that the Playstation 3 will be the console that will still be selling on shelves 7+ years from now, but I just don't see the 360 in that position.

The Xbox 360's limitations have already started to show and Rockstar ...

The majority of Xbox 360 owners were Original Xbox owners most likely, so it's obvious how they may feel toward the PS3.

However, the Original Xbox only sold around 25 million console units worldwide, while the PS2 sold over 120 million, and there are more people around the world that are Sony console users and that means that there are more people around the world that are potential PS3 owners.

The Xbox 360 owners view of the PS3 isn't even any different that th...

I don't know why Nintendo had to be so cheap and make a Wii without a Hard drive... a built in 8GB hard drive probably would have been sufficent enough for a Wii and it wouldn't have cost them that much.

I guess that pretty confirms that Banjoe Kazooie 3 wont be a long game, but I have to disagree with that statement about people not tolerant for long games.

I like long games with long campaign/story mode. I guess that guy must have forgotten about RPG's or something. But, I do wish that more games that are non-RPG's were a lot longer.

It seems like the majority of developers are making up for short games these days with multiplayer, but I really don't care that ...

No, Sony isn't loosing that much on the PS3 now, but at launch they were probably.

Right now it currently costs Sony around $400 dollars to produce a PS3, so right now they are actually just breaking even and are probably making a small profit off of the 80GB model.

But, that's what most console manufacturers do, they sell the console at a loss and make up for the loss in game software sales. The costs to produce a PS3 have fallen a lot since launch and since Son...
