It would have been nice if the Special Edition of MGS4 came with a laminated card with Ryan Peyton's and Kojima's autograph on it.
Maybe MGS4 buyers will get a special code for exclusive downloadable access via Playstation Network for info on Metal Gear 5 or Kojima's next project? Whatever it is, I'm looking forward too it.
Sony didn't come out with the PSP to take down the Nintendo DS. The PSP is for an older audience, but the Nintendo DS is mostly for the younger audience. I honestly doubt that Sony actually thought that the PSP would be able to outsell the DS or anyother Nintendo handheld because I never thought that.
The DS has more broad appeal and has more games, and I'll admit that NOBODY will probably be able to take down Nintendo in the handheld market.
Finally, I'm glad that Ryan cleared this mess up. I already knew that there was a install between each Act in the game because in Playstation The Official Magazine's review of the game, they mentioned it, but they just didn't say how long it was, but it's good to know how long it is.
Just a week to go before I get my hands on the possible Game of the Year for 2008, Yeah!!!!
Killzone 2>Battlefield Bad Company
Resistance 2> Battlefield Bad Company
Far Cry 2> Battlefield Bad Company
That's all I have to say.
I don't have a PSP, but I will admit that the PSP does have a lack of game titles. I have every Playstation game console and I would love to add the PSP to my Playstation gaming collection, but besides the Multimedia functions, there's nothing that I would use the PSP for because there's not that many games that interest me. I have an Ipod Touch to use for the same Multimedia functions that the PSP has (Web browser, Wifi, Mustic, etc...)
I would probably buy a PSP if there was more...
I would rather have No Trophies at all than to have development time taken away from Resistance 2. I want full production on the actual game. Insomniac might be able to come out with a patch for Trophy support with Resistance 2 later on down the road, but I want Resistance 2 to stay on track for a November 2008 release. Implenting Trophy support right now might delay the game.
Konami doesn't have any doubts about MGS4 when it comes to the cutscenes, that guy clearly doesn't know what he's talking about when he said that.
Maybe Konami doesn't want the length of the cutscenes mentioned because they want it to be a surprise and they want people to experience it for themseleves? Who knows. The Metal Gear Solid games have always been known for their highly cinematic integration and it's not like die hard fans of the MGS franchise even give a sh*t how long...
The Xbox 360 version got a 7.5/10 from IGN. It's not like the PS3 version got a 6 and the 360 version got a 7.
The only reason why 360 owners would be getting this game or even renting it is for worthless achievements that get you nothing. Bourne is just another average 3rd party game that doesn't even touch the PS3's surface. Games like Uncharted make Bourne look like a joke.
You just gotta love the first party publishing power that Sony has. A Socom MMO sounds pretty nice, but a new IP would definantly be very interesting. If Sony released their own first party MMO, they would have first party game titles for almost every genre.
Ahhhhh!!! What the heck is the big deal about talking about how long the cutscenes and installation process? Why is that such an important thing to mention in a review?!! I don't care if the Installation process takes 30 minutes for MGS4, it's not like die hard fans are going to be turned away from the game because of long cutscenes. Just review the game you Gamespot bastards and give MGS4 the 9/10- 10/10 that you know it deserves. Whether GameSpot reviews the game or not, I could care less b...
There's not going to be anymore delays trust me. SCEE President David Reeves Offically announced that the game would be out in February 2009 and Producer Steven Ter Hiede has said the same thing. Also, Killzone 2 wasn't delayed because of game development issues either, so it will be ready.
I've already seen that video like weeks ago and I've seen it in WAY better quality.
Killzone 2 definantly looks like a BEAST. The game was running in Pre-Alpha Code at Playstation Day and the games graphics already look just as good as COD4's, just imagine what the finished product will look like... damn.
I definantly expect Killzone 2 to live up to expectatations, and I definantly can't wait until E3 so I can see Killzone 2 blow the roof off the building.

I honestly have no problem with Game Installs, it's not like PS3 owners can't upgrade their hard drives past 120GB like Xbox 360 owners because 120GB is the largest hard drive that Microsoft supplies. There's 250GB hard drives I could buy, heck, I could even put a 500GB hard drive in my PS3.
I'm not going to waste my money on games like Bourne that require game installations because they aren't worth my hard drive space. When it comes to games like MGS4, Resistance 2, and Killz...
What an awesome review. For Metal Gear Solid 4 to get a Mid-night release, there must have been a lot of pre-orders for the game and it's definantly getting the respect it deserves.
Basically it seems as though the only thing that reviewers might have a slight issue with is the lenghty cutscenes and the game installation to the hard drive, but anyone that's played a MGS game before already is used to longer than average cutscenes so that's not a problem. Besides those 2 slight...
I really think that Nintendo should have tried to at least make the Wii an HD console with more advanced hardware because if they did, these type of things wouldn't be happening. The majority of the Wii's games really don't require advanced hardware and processing, but for the hardcore games coming out for the Wii like Alone in the Dark, there's nothing much that a game developer can do to improve the visual experience.
Sony has already confirmed that the Open Beta would be coming November 2008. It's obvious that the full version wont be coming until 2009 at least.... hopefully early 2009 around the time of Killzone 2.
Kaz Hirai said that HOME wont be released until he's pleased with it, so anything could happen in regards to HOME. When Sony releases HOME they want to be sure that it's right the first time and there's nothing wrong with that.
I wish the U.S. Limited Edition verison of MGS4 came with the Solid Snake Figurine. Some of you people above just don't understand exclusivity. There is going to be just 25,000 copies of the European Limited Edition MGS4 game. Dont you realize that out of all of the millions of people with MGS4, you would be one of the 25,000 that has the Limited Edition copy? Don't you people realize that this Limited Edition version of MGS4 will be selling on Ebay for like 2 times the purchase price in 10-1...
It's just a shame. Now that a PS3 game is getting all of these 10/10 review scores and other high reviews, people want to question the game.
When Halo 3 and GTA4 came out I didn't hear anyone questioning about all of those overrated 10/10 review scores.
Kojima clearly stated that MGS4 was for the fans, so NextGen and Eurogamer can shutup. They just can't admit the fact that MGS4 is one of the biggest games of the year and it's a cookie that they don't want to swa...
More people in the world have played on the Dualshock Playstation controllers than any other game console ever.
Well, I definantly didn't waste my money on Kane & Lynch, that's for sure.
IO Interactive needs to come out with a Hitman 5 or something similar to Hitman. If they managed to break even then I'm guessing that the game sold around 500,000 copies or so, because I doubt that Kayne & Lynch was a very expensive game title to develop.
