Yeah, that sounds pretty right to me.
I bought my 60GB PS3 in December 2006 and I had ONLY bought PS3 Exclusives up until the release of GTA4. So basically GTA4 was my first Multiplatform game purchase after having my PS3 for 1 year and 4 months.

I think that Limited Edition version of games are worth the money as long as they have things included in it that are worth it.
I'm the type of person that will buy a Limited Edition version or Special Edition version of a game if it's a game that I really want ALL the time.

IGN already knew that MGS4 was a 10/10 game and they should have just reviewed it even under slight restrictions from Konami. Well, another 10/10 in the bag for MGS4. Those 8/10 reviews are a joke. Well, I have to admit that this year was supposed to be Year of the PS3, but Killzone 2, FFXIII and FF versus XIII, and Gran Turismo 5 aren't coming until 2009, and all of those titles were listed as 2008 titles near the beginning of this year. If all of those games came out in addition to the current lineup of games for 2008, it would have indeed been Year of the PS3 easily, but I think that this year the PS3 will be on par with the 360 when it comes to blockbuster game titles.

I hope tht the Konami Surprise is Metal Gear Solid 1 on the PSN. There's been rumors about MGS coming to the Playstation Network and I hope that it is MGS because I will be downloading it.

There's been numerous people waiting for the 80GB PS3's return and now it's finally back. So far I've been hearing reports that many stores have sold out of the bundles already. Most stores didn't get that many bundles in for shipment, but the fact that a $500 dollar 80GB PS3 system is selling out in stores tells the media that people really want the 80GB PS3 and MGS4, so they can doubt MGS4 all they want.

Recently seems as though Rare is only developing casual game titles (Viva Pinata, Banjoe 3) and if they are going to be doing that, they don't need to be wasting their time with just developing those types of games on the 360 because games that they've been developing currently is more attracting to Wii gamers.
Halo is not even comparable to MGS4 because as a total package, MGS4 is in a whole different league. But in terms of overrall hype and reception, MGS4 is what would equate to a Halo type of reception to me. There wasn't any MGS4 Mountain Dew cans or any other overly hyped ridiculous mess, but MGS4 is a game that speaks for itself. I'm looking forward to Dark Void and maybe Resident Evil 5. I've never been a fan of the Resident Evil games, but Resident Evil 5 definantly looks pretty cool. I'm liking Dark Void a lot right now because of the mix of Flight and On-Foot Combat, the screenshots of the game look very nice and it's just something a lot different from anything else that's been released so far in the 7th gen. of gaming.

At E3 I pretty much expect Sony to steal the show. There's just so many games that have been in the works for the PS3, it's just crazy.
Sony will definantly be revealing some big heavy hitter exclusives for 2009. I think that the rest of Sony's lineup for 2008 is pretty solid.
