It's good to hear that Sony is going to bring out more 80GB PS3 MGS4 bundles because I know that a LOT of people didn't get one on June 12th.
I honestly don't know what the heck Sony is doing and WHY they aren't selling the 80GB PS3 in normal quantity numbers... I guess Sony must be being closer to profiting more from the 40GB PS3 or something and that's why they are only selling the 40GB PS3 right now.
At first I thought that Sony had discontinued the old 80GB P...
I do think that the PSP does need more games. Nintendo has WAY more games avaliable for purchase, but there are a few really good games on the PSP that I wouldn't mind getting.
I think that more 3rd party developers need to support the PSP if it is to be more successful, but developing a game on the Nintendo DS is WAY easier and WAY faster than developing a PSP game. The PSP has been at the top of the charts in Japan's monthly hardware sales for a little while now so it's obvio...
A Demo of Alone in the Dark is needed pretty badly right about now because the intial impression of the game isn't looking too good and a Demo would give gamers to at least form their own opinion and expectations of the game.
...But I think a lot of people will be just renting Alone in the Dark because sadly many people these days don't even buy Single Player only games anymore... oh well, maybe Atari will polish up the PS3 version of the game for it's intended Fall release and...
Jesus Christ, that's huge.... that's more than what the entire Xbox 360 has to offer... damn. Sony definantly knew what they were doing when they future proofed the Playstation 3 with Blu-ray and the Cell.
Killzone 2 will be one of the sickest FPS ever if it's going to be using this much power of the PS3 and I guess it's safe to say that Killzone 2 will be pushing out about 50%-65% of the PS3's total potential... sounds awesome!
I can't wait to see how much power...
I honestly couldn't think of a better person to write the MGS movie script, I mean, Hayter is a successful Screen Writer and this guy has literally been in Solid Snake's shoes for the past 10 years.
I don't know how to say this without sounding negative, but I'm kinda glad that PS2 sales have started to slow down a bit, because that must mean that potential buyers are more focused on the Playstation 3.
The PS2 will have been out for almost 8 years in the U.S. this coming Fall and sold over 120 million units, and it's had it's success. I'm sure Sony will let the PS2 stay on the market to fullfill it's 10 year lifecycle and once the lifecycle is fulfilled, it's going to be a...
Besides that "secret" PS3 game, Killzone 2, GT5 and God of War 3, Team ICO's next PS3 project is one of my most anticipated game titles. I hope that it's something from Team ICO in Gamepro's August issue, but I'm hoping most of all that Team ICO will be at E3 in July to at least show a game trailer and blow us all away or something.
The Orange Box isn't that good of a game to be wasting time suing for. Valve can just continue making their games on DVD-9 forever for all I care.
SquareEnix has said that they don't plan on releasing any other Final Fanatasy games on a Xbox console and they definantly shouldn't because Final Fantasy fans have owned Playstation consoles and a Final Fantasy game will sell better on a Playstation console or a Japanese console ( Wii, Nintendo DS).
The Metal Gear Solid series has always been a Playstation franchise game even though MGS1 and MGS2 had a few ports of the game, it should always stay a Playstation exclusive to me...
That was a VERY stupid list, but it's the truth really.
I mean seriously, other than the long cutscenes what is the other realistic thing that there is to dislike about MGS4..... NOTHING. I have yet to find a single flaw in the game and it's one of the best looking PS3 games out so far alongside GT5 Prologue and Uncharted.
Personally, a Metal Gear Solid fan like me enjoys the long cutscenes because every cutscene actually means something and it's not just filler...
What the heck is this FPS doing different? To me Left4Dead is just another generic looking FPS and your just shooting a bunch of BRAINLESS Zombies for Christs sake. It would be different if the Zombies actually had guns or something.... No wonder the Xbox 360 is only popular in the U.S. and some parts of the U.K.
I already knew that Sony lost a lot of money from PS3 sales, but I had no idea they lost that much.
People were calling the PS3, "Overpriced" but Sony was selling their PS3's for $499 and $599 at launch, but it cost a little over $800 dollars to produce each console, and really even though the PS3 seemed expensive, at the time you were getting a bargain.
Right now Sony should be just barely breaking even because production costs have dropped to around $...
Microsoft made their biggest mis-step after Vista didn't end up being not so hot and all the problems that Vista gave customers.
First Microsoft drops the ball with Xbox 360 reliability and then Vista, Then Gamestop stops selling Zune's in their stores because of lack of consumer response for it. I guess Microsoft must be loosing money on the Zune as well.
One article has MGS4 dropped to the #2 top selling game in the U.K. and this article has it as #1 in the U.K., .... either way MGS4 is doing good to be selling just as good or more than a Wii game.
I think that a lot of people didn't even expect MGS4 to be this huge of a game, but I never doubted it for a second.... Good job Kojima, I'm looking forward to your next PS3 exclusive.
I really loved Uncharted and it's my second favorite PS3 game (with MGS4 being my most favorite of course!).
It would be nice if Naughty Dog could get Uncharted 2 out in 2 years at least, but I wouldn't mind another Jak and Daxter game either. A nex-gen Jak and Daxter game with the Uncharted Engine sounds pretty fun to me.
This is all I have to say, Stealth/Action games aren't for everyone, plain and simple.
Kojima made MGS4 so that ANYONE that had never played a MGS game before could pick it up and play it the way they wanted too and that's something that's not in the previous MGS games.
Games like MGS4 takes time and patience to play them the RIGHT way and I love it because it's a totally different pace of gameplay. Most of the games release so far in this generation just have yo...
I read that New York Times article Sunday morning and it was on the front page of Yahoo's homepage. It's good to see the MGS4 name being put out there.
Why are these stupid video game sites making such a big deal about MGS4 dropping in some of the sales charts? I mean, the first week for a big game is always the biggest week. It's not like MGS4 dropped down from #1 to #10 or something, it's still the #2 top selling game in the UK charts.
Jesus Christ, the gaming media is always so critical towards PS3 games.
It's a shame that a no-name reviewer like this has to give one of the best games this decade a low score just to get some publicity... what a shame.
Free Paper isn't even a dedicated video game reviewer, so their review isn't even credible, but you'll always have haters out there and it means nothing.
I have to disagree with that article, just because GTA4 didn't end up being as big as it was cooked up to be, it doesn't mean that this generation of gaming has failed, have they forgotten that Sony has yet to drop some of their biggest games? MGS4 is just the first big PS3 exclusive to drop and there's more to come. I mean seriously, GTA4 isn't everything. The article is talking like if GTA4 fails everything else does and that's a joke.
But, I did find it surprising that GTA4 ...
