Damn, I just looked on Wikipedia and the release date for Halo Wars is December 2009, Jesus Christ.
The PSN is completely free and has No Ad's, but Xbox gamers pay $50 bucks a year and they get Ad's thrown in their face. For $50 bucks you would think that there wouldn't be any advertising or very minimal Ad's.
I see nothing wrong with In-Game Movies to me as long as it's engaging.
I honestly think that it's about time that more developers start stepping up to the plate and creating a cinematic experience just as good as MGS4.
Uncharted Drakes Fortune, Heavenly Sword and Shadow of the Colossus are just a few of the games that I can think off the top of my head that has delivered a very nice Cinematic experience just like the Metal Gear Solid series has.
An upscaled image still isn't true 1080p HD. True 1080p HD can only be achieved with Blu-ray at this point in time, NOT Upscaled DVD. Toshiba, just die already.
It's obvious that Sony isn't going to reveal the other games that will be at E3 that don't have confirmed release dates yet, like God of War 3, White Knight Chronicles, Heavy Rain and others.
I'm pretty sure that Wardevil will be at E3 too and I can't wait to see more of what Digi-Guys are cooking up for the PS3.
Plus there's that "Secret" PS3 game that will most likely be revealed at E3 this year and tons of other stuff.
I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft introduced another Xbox in 2-3 years from now.
I think the big question is, Will Microsoft discontinue the Xbox 360 once the Xbox 720 comes out? Since Microsoft still hardly has a lot of first party studios, I don't think that they could support the Xbox 360 and Xbox 720 on the market at the same time like Sony with the PSP, PS2, and PS3.
I could care less what Microsoft does with their systems, all I know is that the next Pla...
Shadow of the Colossus is not a game, it's a piece of ART. Shadow of the Colossus is one of the best Playstation 2 games ever made, period.
I don't remember a lot of hype around Shadow of the Colossus, but once I played the demo for it before it came out, I was like, "I MUST HAVE THIS GAME", and I was instantly BLOWN AWAY because I had never played a game anything like Shadow of the Colossus before.
Shadow of the Colossus is just like ICO and the game j...
I was never a big Sonic fan mostly because I never owned a Sega Genesis, but I have played the old school Sonic games before and they were pretty fun and it's interesting how the gameplay switches from 2-D to 3-D. The way the gameplay is set up in this Sonic game reminds me of Street Fighter 4.
I guess it's good to see that developers are still showing the PS2 a little love, but it sure will be a sad day in gaming for me when Sony has to pull the plug on the PS2 once that 10 ye...
Wow. I had no idea that the PS3 had sold that many consoles in Europe.
The PS3 outselling the 360 in Europe in half the time is MAJOR. The PS3 is still the most expensive console, the cheapest Xbox 360 in Europe is now cheaper than the Wii, yet the PS3 still continues to dominate Europe and outsell the 360.
Damn, if Microsoft already has dropped the price of the 360 in Europe just this year but it has done little to no good at all, I think it's safe to say that t...
Every reviewer has their own opinion, but it's obvious that these guys were shooting up Meth or something while writing the review.
It's just a joke because reviewers like this are the same Bastards that gave GTA4 10/10's across the board but GTA4 was plauged with typical GTA problems like Pop-in, and GTA4 was no where as good looking or as immersive as MGS4.
Metal Gear Solid 4 definantly had a good opening in Europe for the first 2 days and the PS3 is slowly overtaking the 360 in Europe with each passing week, and according to that list, GTA4 has sold more units on the PS3 than the Xbox 360 in Europe, pretty impressive. And I had expected Ninja Gaiden 2 to be higher up on the European charts than it was. MGS4 definantly gave the PS3 a boost worldwide, that's for sure.... MGS4 is one of the many games that potential PS3 owners have been waiting fo...
Wow. X-Play's 5/5 review score is just as surprising as Gamespots 10/10 rating if you ask me because X-Play really isn't known for giving out many high scores either and I think that they critique games pretty tough.
I guess it took a game as big as MGS4 to make the baised 360 reviewers humble themselves a bit and give a PS3 game the respect that it deserves.
I wouldn't say that hype can ruin a game, it's the game itself that plays the major factor.
GTA4 was a really hyped game title, but personally it didn't live up to the hype for me.
MGS4 was a hyped game title but there wasn't excessive hype for the game like putting the game on a Mountain Dew can or whatever. MGS4 was a game that actually lived up to the hype and more because the game was nearly as perfect as it could be. Also MGS4 lived up to the hype because ev...
Wow. That was the most sorriest excuse for a Video Game Article I've ever read in my life. Anyone that is playing Metal Gear Solid 4 is playing the game for the story as well as the gameplay and NOBODY will be skipping the epic cutscenes in MGS4.
Why in the HELL would you spend $59.99+ on a game and skip through the cutscenes or just not watch them at all?
I honestly don't see how anyone couldn't watch the cutscenes in MGS4, because once they start rolling, you...
I'm pretty sure that a lot of 360 fans have already bought PS3's for MGS4. If there's a game to convert 360 fanboys to PS3 owners, MGS4 is the game to do it.
Also, anyone that loves movies and loves High Def. will be buying Sony's Blu-ray, period. Any Xbox 360 fan will have to start buying Blu-ray if they want to experience movies in true 1080p HD and it's inevitable so you can deny Blu-ray all you want Bladestar, but you'll be buying them eventually. HD-DVD is dead and it's a ...
Those statements he said made a lot of sense because up until now, the majority of 3rd party developers were just getting used to the PS3's hard ware. I mean, the PS3 hasn't even been out for a full 2 years yet and the PS3's structure is much more complex because it isn't PC based like Xbox 360 development.
Eventually I think that it will get to the point where ALL Multiplatform games that are released will ALWAYS look better on the PS3, just like how Multiplatform games of Las...
If this guy is rushing through the game and is shooting every person in sight, then yes, it's possible to beat a Metal Gear Solid game really fast, but that is not the way to play a Metal Gear Solid game. And it's obvious that the guy is doing little to no exploration at all.
I've heard some reviewers say that they had spent 4 hours just playing Act 1, and everyone plays games differently, but most of the reviewers have said that MGS4 is about a 20 hour game. Plus, once you be...
Mass Effect and Gears of War are on the PC, so those 2 games don't count because they aren't ONLY on the Xbox 360.
Fable 2 isn't anything to die over because Final Fantasy XIII kills Fable 2 anyday of the week.
Halo 3 sold lots of copies and broke records, but the gameplay in Halo 3 does not impress me one bit. Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 are already looking better than Halo 3 to me and both games sure has hell will have better graphics than Halo 3.
MGS4 is just greatness, what else is there to say?
I hope that more developers start stepping up to the plate and start delivering games of MGS4 status.
I hope that Kojima's next big project is a PS3 exclusive as well. Judging by the way MGS4 turned out, it's obvious that his games can ONLY be made on the Playstation 3 and I'm sure Kojima wants to dive deeper into the Cell.
You just don't understand. You fail to realize that the PS3 is catching up to the Xbox 360. As far as I'm concerned, a lot of the people buying 360's are people who's older 360's kept dying on them and have purchased multiple 360's.
