I think that most girls like Action/Adventure games or RPG's more than anything else though because I've noticed that's what a lot of girls like to play and it's definantly the kind of games that my sister loves playing... and of course the majority of girls love Guitar Hero/Rockband.

An Xbox 360 price drop in Japan will not matter. The Playstation 3 has been outselling the Xbox 360 Worldwide this entire year and in Europe the 360 is already cheaper than the Wii, yet the PS3 still dishes out damage left and right against the 360.
This is how Xbox 360 sales will go in Japan:
No JRPG's = VERY low Xbox 360 sales
Timed exclusive/exclusive JRPG's = much higher sales than the PS3 for a week or two then drops back to normal.

After I popped in MGS4 for the first time in June and when I saw the smooth transition between in-game scenes and actual gameplay in MGS4, I was totally blown away. The production values in MGS4 are just off the charts... and now that I thinking about it, I think that Kojima was one of the first few developers that implemented in-game cut scenes extensively in a video game and it started with MGS2 because up until MGS2, I had never played a game ...

I'm definantly getting the Collectors Edition for Resistance 2. When it comes to games that I REALLY want or games I've really been anticipating, I always go with Collectors Editions over Standard Editions.
I hope that the behind the scenes extras for Resistance 2 is on a Blu-ray disc just like the Bonus disc for MGS4's Collectors Edition.
I think this Fall will probably be the biggest time in gaming so far this gen. because there's just SO many big games jam packed ...
I seriously doubt that Microsoft and Sony would team up against EA if EA came out with their own console.
If EA came out with a console, Sony could still support themselves pretty well even without EA's games because Sony has the most 1st party studios and has plenty of them.... if EA came out with a console, I think that Microsoft would probably have no other choice but to team up with either Sony or Nintendo because Microsoft relies so much on 3rd party and Microsoft would bare...
The new 80GB PS3 for $399 has been in the Top 10 in Amazon.com's Video Games section ever since it was first avaliable and the 80GB PS3 MGS4 bundle was ALWAYS in the Top 10 whenever Amazon.com had stock.... it's pretty obvious that Microsoft almost has no choice but to resort to a price drop in Sept. because if they don't, the PS3 will totally own the rest of this year without a doubt.
It's just funny that the 360 has so many more games and it's cheaper, but the PS3 still continu...
I did plan on buying Mercenaries 2, but I changed my mind. I think I'll just save up for the Flood of games in October and early November because more games actually interest me in those months.... I'll probably pick up Mercenaries 2 when it hits $39.99
White Knight Chronicles is published by Sony and will NEVER appear on the Xbox 360, it's a PS3 exclusive, where the heck have you been.
I guess we'll just have to wait until White Knight Story, FFXIII, and/or Star Ocean 4 before we'll actually see a AAA JRPG that will/might score 9 and above.
I hope the Last Remnant scores better than Infinite Undiscovery... and I only hope it scorces better because it's coming to the PS3 after the 360.
I need to upgrade my launch 60GB PS3's hard drive pretty soon. I don't know if I'll go all out with this 500GB hard drive, but I might get a 250GB or a 320GB.
The good thing about this 500GB hard drive is that you could most likely use it the entire 10 years of the PS3's lifecycle and never have to worry about running out of space.

I know one guy that lives in the U.K. said that one time whenever his PS3 stopped reading Blu-ray discs and he gave Sony a call, then someone from Sony came to his house the next day and took his old PS3 and they gave him a brand new one.
I expect this game to be at the Tokyo Game Show (it better be) because it's been ages since I've heard anything new about the game.
I'm a little more interested in the new Quantum of Solace 007 movie this November than this 007 video game, but the box art for the game looks pretty nice.
To me the screenshots from Killzone 2's Single Player look better than the screenshots of the Multiplayer.
Those screenshots looked good, but they didn't really "wow" me as much, but I've been more "wowed" when I saw screenshots like this from the Single Player.
Still, I can't wait for Feb. 2009 to come.
I don't agree when he said, "There's too many games", but I do think that there's too many crappy games released and not enough high quality games.
I would rather see developers sit down and make a really good game and have maybe 7 or 8 games released per month that are AAA high quality than to have 15 games released per month and only 2 or 3 of them are actually worth spending full price for because there is no room for crap games when games start out at $59.99

I want the Damage Update more than anything else right now... Polyphony said it was supposed to be coming sometime this Fall, but Polyphony needs to just put all their focus into the full version of GT5 because I do not want to wait until 2010 to play the ultimate racing simulator... I hope GT5 can make a late 2009 release at least.
I had always wondered why Microsoft didn't confirm the price drop, but it's pretty obvious that Microsoft don't want people to hold off a 360 purchase until the price drop because it would have affected Augusts console sales, and right now the 360 needs all the sales it can get because it's been slipping in the United States... even the 20GB 360 price drop in mid-July to $299 wasn't even enough to outsell the PS3 in July's NPD when the PS3 was selling at $100 and $200 dollars more.
No wonder Microsoft is making so much money in their Games division.
Personally I think that Microsoft should be bundling the Wifi Adapter for FREE with the Xbox 360 Elite model at least because it's the top tier Xbox 360 model.
