Legacy of Kain HD Collection? All the games remastered?
Physical copies that aren't controlled.
Not really. This ad saw DaThreats' avatar smile and thought he was addicted to zeros and wanted to make money. Hence the ad.
What can they learn from this? Smiling doesn't make a game more addicting. People can be addicted to games with an interesting but serious storyline. People can be addicted to interesting or deep gameplay.
Some people are interested/addicted to drama, suspense, or horror...none of which involve smiling.
This study should realize that facial expressions express inner emotions. Even then it isn't conclusive. Two smiles don't mean the same emoti...
In theory it appears that used games effect the true potential of new game sales. I'm sure it's true to an extent but not nearly as much as the industry thinks.
The article states that remakes and rereleases of old games have received good enough sales to warrant this interest of eliminating used games. Yet they fail to realize that the target audience they are reselling to is largely based on those that have already played the game, collectors, and those a bit more...
They needed to name this game differently
It's true purpose is for software control and to enforce a user limit to each game.
They will need it to enforce the upcoming one person per game purchase limitation. No more lending games or playing used. Next up? Fingerprint scanning buttons and retinal scanning Kinect abilities.
Agreed. The first season was epic. I noticed the fluid animation started to dwindle over time also.
This is going to happen to all online enabled consoles at some point. This is an industry change largely in demand by developers. They want a platform that will benefit their company the most.
They don't see used games or the physical format as beneficial versus the digital format and an online system governing it.
In their final vision every game will be digital. Each game will be playable under one account. This means every person has to pay to play. ...
Sometimes I just can't respond after reading things like this. I'll spend time at the keyboard wanting to say so many things only to delete and start over. Then I realize just how similar I felt when writing to a woman that broke my heart.
I'm still sane. Yet it doesn't appear so.
Emotion is a factor present in each example. Something of value is too. In both cases each were (or are) in threat of being taken away.

I'd rather pay 600 for the console upfront and fufill my responsibility as a consumer immediately.
These contract commitments typically cost more over the long haul and they force the consumer with a higher responsibility of maintaining ontime payments over years.
It's probably a proper tradeoff of risk for those with no money to pay upfront but I'd rather plan ahead and start saving early on my own terms. Not theirs.
On average that's about 10 stores per state in the U.S. I didn't know they had that many stores scattered around.
Cloud gaming is basically the digital format not stored on your device. In either case the content is not yours to own. They are planning the cloud for the eventual realization that gamers are storing their products on their own devices. Think about it.
If anyone ever reads the terms and conditions of current console online agreements, they all say the digital content is not yours. Eventually everyone will begin to say "HEY! If it's not mine why are you storing i...
Sometimes they do it right. Sometimes they do it wrong. That's why.
Mobile gaming is not necessarily a bad concept. Neither is a console like the Wii. If one looks at these platforms in a different perspective we can generally see it as a possible future for a more developed gaming industry.
By this I mean more dedicated. The experienced audience has always been too small. By doing things like this hopefully gamers will want something more and move on to something more developed and complex. If it doesn't we may see a continuing tren...
All I know is they all better fix the online aspect of gaming.
No more incomplete game discs on release day. No more control over my games, my account, or my purchases. No more access restrictions over the functionality of my games. No more system updates that lead to the loss of features. No more deciding what looks best in an update instead of giving us the options instead.
No more driving down the street in a video game and running into an invisible wal...
The trailer for the 2nd movie didn't seem interesting. It showed action with no story or plot.
Company becomes king.
Company becomes peasant.
Media writes the company is doomed.
As a PS3 owner I completely sympathize with all gamers now. Experience has shown me that this cycle of console bashing is never ending and fueled by the media. Every company gets their licks at some point. If we just focus on the games these consoles produce we'd see that none of them are doomed from being played by gamers. The original Xbox had great games. The PS3 has...
Thankfully I never sold those masterpieces.
