As a big fan of the series, you expect value for money from Metal Gear Solid.
Yes, not every game is as long as people would like or often good value for money. Many games that charge a higher than usual price but end up being short usually have a unique aspect about them, that makes it worth while for some people. E.g. Journey, The Unfinished Swan.
The big difference with Ground Zeroes is it isn't meant to be a standalone game, that is quite obvious with...
Fantastic idea, I just wish I had a VR headset to enjoy it with.
Defiantly, I expect it to be added sometime this year. The PS3 had a similar option so I don't see why it should be a problem.
What in your opinion would you change about the UI to make it better?
Honest question by the way, love to see what could be done to improve it further.
Absolutely agree.
That is one of the reasons I love it, it just gets you from A to B and makes everything else in between seamless.
I might not have some of the fancy features of the Xbox One on it but at least I can game with ease.
Custom folders I would expect some time in the future, even the PS3 had some folder structure.
Unfortunately, this isn't possible. Otherwise you'd end up getting even worse reviews then you usually do.
Okay, as a amatuer reviewer that runs his own site, I can honestly say this is very true. Bias exists and we all have to live with it.
Unfortunately, reviewing games that we have no love for is, in my opinion, the completely wrong way to go. Reviews tell readers, gamers, movie watchers and book lovers what was great and why. If your uninterested in the subject at hand, than you can't honestly make a fair assumption for the fans to get an understanding from. If I don't...
Doubly agree with you both. Sutherland just doesn't cut it. That deep raspiness of Hayter is really missing from this demo.
Anyway, trading in my copy for some dosh back. Let's hope this incredibly long fifth installment is really worth the cash on launch.
Considering I just finished the main mission in an hour, I find it difficult to see how this got such a high score. The game is basically the first level of the fifth game, with some extra side missions. The cost should have been something closer to DLC cost than a medium Indie title.
Sometimes, but sometimes hidden gems can be found behind bad names.
I'm just getting bored of arguing with the developer behind this as to why it got this score and what needs improving. Unfortunately the Dev doesn't believe anything is wrong with the game at all.
@Foxtrot, Please read my words before presuming what I said.
What I actually said was, be respectful when you make your complaints. The developer himself acknowledges that if you don't say something about a problem, like the ME 3 ending, you won't get it sorted. But doing it by slagging off everybody man and women in the team gets you nowhere and causes more harm than at first glance.
There is no reason why we have to act like religious zealots in def...
Thanks KingDadXVI, that's exactly the point. Abuse gets us nowhere and if we really want something to improve we need to be honest in a respectful way.
I agree with you to some extent but at the same time, abuse is making some people kill themselves over words some thoughtless idiot sent over an email.
I would say the haters are doing more damage that praise, though praise should be kept until you can experience a decent chunk of the game in question.
@Ezz2013
I know as many do that some developers can be lazy but slapping them with vile abuse isn;t the cure.
Hard to argue with criticism isn't filled with abuse, its filled with hard facts and possible improvements.
No that's the problem. Why should you call out them, their families and throw out abuse because they did something bad or not up to your standard?
If a friend bought you a meal from a chippy rather than the Chinese you asked for, would you immediately start threatening to rape his mother if he didn't correct his mistake? I would bloody hell hope not.
As the developer said, if something is wrong, say so but do it without chucking useless and degrading ...
I guess all we can do is not make any videos of No More Room In Hell.
Shame as I had been thinking of doing just that all week. Guess they decided for me.
It's just nice to see a dev listen to the community for a change. Doesn't really happen that often and I hope it happens more often with the rise of crowd funding games.
Completely agree. I've only had it a couple of days and I still have that feeling where I must get home to play it, even for just 20 minutes.
Reminds me of an open world Starfleet Command.
Yep, just a bit on the pricey side!
@Moujahed That is one problem with new consoles, all that raw power and not enough games to enjoy on them.
If Sutherlands was such a cost, why didn't they just stick with Hayter, he loved the roll yet the devs didn't want him for it any more?
I agree that it has been a long time coming and so I'm not surprised that you want to get everything out of GZ because of the lack of recent games in the series. I'm just saying that I don't like bein...
