Love the comment!
To be fair, I have actually come to somewhat enjoy the sound of the turbos and hearing all the mechanical workings (though I still miss the ultra high-rev scream).
I'm just wondering. If winning is the desire, and the in-game cars follow the current real world situation, will the average player want to drive anything other than a Mercedes?
It is actually getting upsetting and frankly it is even a little insulting to the intelligence. Each time MS comes out with a new wave of news like this, like the Cloud in-house-very-controlled-condi tions demo, and seemingly every other more recent attempt to explain themselves I am unfortunately convinced more and more that the PR team is seeing price drops + core gamer discussions + developer commentary, and responding with claws out making a desperate/frantic attempt to save their skin. I...
I totally agree with this. With the early understanding I've got, it seems that this single item could be a BIG deal. OLED would be super, but if making it affordable comes down to using the demo unit panels instead of OLED -- vs. -- making the PS4 have to work harder to produce a proper VR experience I say free up the PS4 resources with the FRC. I want respectable PS4 visuals with my serving of smooth running VR.
As a side, although the sound processor could be interesti...
Almost the entire field of view, with full 3D, surrounded by space while sitting on the sofa = Thank you engineers. One step closer to the famous PS9!
Clearly, sites that cater specifically to gamers are over-run with Sony fanboys.
Or maybe most "gamers" actually prefer the PS4. Dang that jagged pill...
I should specify -- VIZIO is certainly stepping away from 3d (for now). But 4K & 8K 3D could be excellent down the road for them as well.
@LOGICWINS:
The 3D focus still exists. 3D became a show piece (read, "new tech" for CES "wow") when many in the mainstream had just purchased their first HDTV. Most consumers weren't going to rush out a year later to buy another $15000-$2000+ television, Blu-ray player, and potentially receiver just to get 3D -- nevermind the active vs. passive clash at the time. As old televisions are replaced, 3D often comes with the new television. In this respe...
Just for you. MS paid Amazon off. Probably ;-).
Seriously? Who disagrees with the appeal of having Nintendo titles appear on other brands of consoles? I guess some people are suggesting it is a bad thing to want Nintendo first party franchises available to a wider audience and running on current gen consoles (no I do not believe Nintendo has had a current gen console since GC --- unless we want to count WiiU as being current gen up to the point that XBoxOne and PS4 released). Or, do you just not like Nintendo first party stuff?
...
The older I get, the more I find myself wanting Mario and other Nintendo titles to appear on another brand of console...
Wanting something different is fine too, but it seems like the reviewer forgot that, for fans of the series, "Assassins Creed nonetheless" is a GOOD thing -- especially with a game called "Assassin's Creed". There are times wherein people do not want the wheel re-invented.
It gets ridiculous when the industry wears the guise of "all grown up -- mature" by shoveling mountains of foul language, gratuitous and often over the top absurd violence, AND THEN A RATED PG CHARACTER MODEL GENERATES THIS TYPE OF INDIGNATION?!?! Context argument or not, WHAT THE? For Kojima this has to be like being in the mob and being chastised by a bookie for running a gambling operation.
Abundant F words do not automatically make something "mature"...
This is happening too often -- to the point that not only does it look terribly suspicious, but potentially embarrassing.
One has to wonder if MS is outright paying for forum PR/damage control in order to make it appear that the public perception of their product has changed more than it really has. I don't blame them too much if they have/are doing such things. However, the fact is that generally the gaming community momentum is VASTLY in favor of PS4 and the agree/disag...
Looks outstanding to me.
Thought the same thing... When a third party complains that they can't get their hands on "user profile data and such" from the primary... Thank you to the primary party for NOT sharing user profile data (personally identifying or NOT).
C'mon, didn't anybody tell you that games are at their very best when you get to focus on screwing around with sliders, thinking about your optimal settings (test, nope, let's try this-- I got it, oooh, frame rate dropped there, let's change that). Plus, you can download those new drivers, see what type of performance increase you got, rinse and repeat. Gaming is infinitely superior when you don't have to worry about noticing plot holes and you can just "play with y...
I had no idea the PS4 had already sold so well ;-).
Go ahead, edit it and make me look dumb.
Awesome memories! Good game or not, up to Summoner everyone was complaining about jaggies and shimmer with the all powerful PS2. Summoner was supposed to be a break through and the boards at beyond3d and elsewhere lit up when James Hague said the Volition team had figured how to run full scene anti aliasing with a "negligible hit on the game's performance". While their method didn't end up guaranteeing that PS2 software would never have jaggies or shimmer again, the mood ...
"No such thing as DDR 5" they said... PFFFT... Shows what they know. Proof of a genuine DDR 5 (mind you I don't think ANY -good- games were played with these):

Kamikazepikmin: I couldn't use your Dance Dance Rev. reference so I had to go all historical for this bad joke.
First off, I am not quite sure why this question is posted with this story. That said:
It is a simple matter really.
If a developer is going to do an exclusive, Sony's console is a more likely choice. There is more power to play with (we can debate the scale of said difference but more is more) and a larger install base. If a title is exlusive to Microsoft's console it is challenging to see any purpose beyond a pay off. Don't get me wrong, it is b...
