While Jin was a stud, I would be pleased to watch a heroin step into the hot springs. Hopefully they don't feel a need to eliminate those elements.
Regardless of disagrees, I agree.
I LOVE this series, and I am waiting with baited breath for this one, but am I the only one that thinks some of the voice acting sounds worse than a lot of indie productions?
I'm surprised you didn't get downvoted for that. Most of the time when anyone says something like that in these discussions the downvotes roll in. Much of the time, I suspect you're not wrong though.
You are right. People may not like it (esp. those hired to dislike anything that advances chinese culture/perception). But you are totally right and objectively at that. And while I am blabbing all of this, I actually think Wukong is pretty neat in some respects.
Stop. You'll upset the china bots and P.R. hired folk who's job it is to dislike any negative comments about the product.
I'm sure it is in large part due to the chinese origin and how new this scenario is. It is sort of like a debutante being introduced to society - whos parents are will hire guests to in mass numbers, some of which are there to act more excited, and to make sure everyone knows just how special she is - and she may-be, but eveyone is going to know *regardless*.
You are on the money (no pun intended actually) and I have a build with a 3080Ti + one with a 4090 in the works... I ABSOLUTELY LOVE what the PC is capable of, and would never want to give that up. However, I truly ***HATE*** tinkering with settings to get that "BEST" experience possible out of the hardware when I want to play a game. I just want to start up, play, and know it is giving me the best experience the hardware can from the time I start the game. I don't know how long...
It's not much, but *maybe* provides some voice:

Thank you saving me the click.
@darth:
And Sony showed off "The Emotion Engine" and their real time demos that made everyone think they would miss out on REAL next gen 128bit magic if they jumped in before PS2s polygon pushing monster (and early lack of anti-aliasing with a healthy heap of shimmer + DVD playback) stepped up. PS2 was a fantastic system though with amazing games.
I take a LONG time to finish my games due to other obligations, but I generally complete them... The only games I have stopped playing were games that felt like there was too much of the same "slog" just put there to make it longer. I actually prefer longer games, BUT NOT if I feel like I am just wasting time because the developers made the game longer by simply designing things literally require needless extra real world time to do or adding a bunch of repetitive "same old - s...
SEGA ;-)
Either way, it would be pretty cool to see a game do either or both (big open world/dense) and not depend on *loads* of re-used graphical assets. It may not be practical/realistic at this point, but I look forward to detailed worlds that don't initially stun but ultimately after playing for a while end up mostly feeling like I am seeing A LOT of the same thing over and over and over but just in a slightly different context. I totally get why things are this way, I just look forward to whe...
Haha. Not totally unfair...
Thanks for the heads up. I wasn't sure if it was a particularly good deal or not and wondered what the comments would reveal.
LOVED this game. These are the types of games that I (personally) believe were made for V.R. before they even knew they were creating the perfect genre for VR. I would LOVE to be able to walk around a scene (potentially room scale) and pick things up/combine objects/etc. To be IN a Monkey Island Game, Maniac Mansion, or this one. Also any number of the Sierra adventure games (King's Quest, Space Quest, Leisure Suit Larry 🫢, etc.) would be perfect for VR. Heck, even if the games we...
Of the current line - I totally agree. This is the type of game-play that I feel is possibly some of the best suited for VR. It is almost as if these types of games were made for VR before VR was available. I feel like games like Monkey Island/King's Quest/Space Quest etc. all fit this category and truly want to see more like them coming to VR. That's not to say the other types of games don't belong - just that I truly want more of these types.
I'm a PlayStation fan... If I want to play it, I will play it on P.C... No pain.
No doubt they are working on it, but it seems that any actual release needs to be off by a bit. Considering this gen started right as COVID started and for at least a couple years after, many people had a hard time acquiring a PS5, makes it clear that at least a couple of years of this gen hardly count. Developers could not work as they normally would for a good while. There was a dynamic with this timing that lasted and is unprecedented. As a result, adoptions rates were different and cross-...
