And the damage control continues..
This review is awful. The author barely mentions anything positive about the game mechanics, criticizes the controls, QTE's, and lack of replay value, yet it gets an 89 for story and presentation? Yeah. I'm taking this with a grain of salt.
If that were the case, Uncharted 4, Infamous SS, Bloodborne and Until Dawn would've been getting the same level of flack that the Order has been recieving since E3. Get over yourself. The majority of complaints surrounding this game are coming from Sony fans with valid concerns that were actually interested in purchasing the game.
I'm getting sick of these strawman arguments from fanboys on both sides who downplay any type of criticism towards an exclusive title of a...
"Ive never seen a game get so scrutinized in all my life."
I've never seen a game recieve so much damage control in all my life. God.
"I think its fear that the opposition has no exclusives for like the first 9 months of 2015 and the ps4 has exclusives spread throughout the year which will probably boost its sales lead even further."
Yeah. Nevermind the numerous criticisms from Sony fans about the games length, generic...
I wasn't really expecting a major update from the Definitive Edition since it's using the same engine. The character models look a lot better though IMO.
Nothing for me.
That's some impressive facial work.
Fail.
By your logic they shouldn't get any teams to port the game to PC or PS4 because they'd be "wasting money". Do you even hear yourself talk? This is some of the dumbest shit I've read all week.
Weird that Thief is on PS3 instead of PS4. People say the reason PS4 isn't getting AAA games is because they are too new. But this pretty much disproves that theory.
lol really
Almost all popular free to play mobile games have microtransactions. But apparently it's only worth making an outrage about it when EA does it. Slow news week I guesd.
I don't deny that journalism in general is in a corrupt state, but the reasoning this author gives comes off as butthurt and ignorant. Just because a game you don't like is rated high by critics doesn't mean, they were payed off to give it that score. I love how he says we should listen to user reviews, when they can be just as biased if not moreso than the critics, full of fanboys and haters rating games based on their popularity or controversy without even playing them half the t...
Most people will preorder the game because they love the franchise or are interested the core gameplay, not just for some DLC that will most likely be included with the game at some point. Same reason people will preorder Evolve. Being a highly anticipated game has nothing to do with how people feel about retailer exclusive content.
My point was, that plenty of people were discussing their distate for the buisness practice in the comment sections of articles and vidoes for th...
If the author actually bothered reading the comment sections for the articles discussing the retailer exclusive DLC he'd know that there were plenty of people criticizing the practice, and refusing to preorder from Gamestop. Just because it's not being discussed as much as a game coming out in less than a month doesn't make gamers hypocrites. Day One DLC is a terrible business practice but it's become so common in the industry that there's really no point in making an outr...
This doesn't even look bargain bin worthy. The only half way decent Spongebob game was Battle for Bikini Bottom back on PS2. I'd much rather invest into a sequel or an HD remaster of that game instead of this garbage.
I'm well aware of what the point of both services are. My problem was the author was comparing the price of a monthly subscription service that requires a connection and has a duration, to the price of a retail game that you play whenever you want without subscribing to to a service or being connected to the internet. They aren't even close to the same value.
One of the dumbest articles I've read defending this overpriced service. You cannot compare a subscription service to owning a copy of a game. I can't resell them, I can only watch them when I'm signed into the service, and if my subscription ends or my internet shuts down I can't play them anymore. Even regular rental services like Gamefly or Redbox give you more ownership over these games.
