This was added to the end of the article and probably needs to be added to the above post here too...
"Update: Unfortunately, it was learned that the coupon code is only good once per order. Worse, the "AUTUMN10" promo code does not work with video game items such as the PS Plus subscription. The article has been updated to reflect that."
You know what's funny? I almost think GTA V on "ancient" hardware runs better than Arma 3 on my 3930k/780. XD
I was kind of okay with Arma 3 until I saw GTA V running my roommates 360. I guess that's what happens when you refuse to change your 10 year old base code (with Arma 3). Now that Arma 3 is out with that code, we are pretty much stuck with the performance besides petty optimizations.
If it's halfway as modable as Arma then GTAV o...
DO NOT GO TO THE SITE! It's a $ collection with no content.
THESE SCREENS HAVE ALREADY BEEN PROVEN FAKE DAYS AGO!! I believe they were recorded videos/screenshots being displayed in windows movie or a similar player.
Knowing that, it's pretty obvious this page/site is setup simply to grab as much traffic as it can. Even the small image icons simply refresh the page when clicked instead of bringing up a full res image.
I very much look...
Well having to rope of a physical area the size of a football field to play a VR game isn't much of a holodeck :P
That's why I suggested the Virtuix Omni as well since that would solve (most of) that issue. Both are already being sold in dev kits that the public can (and is) buying. Like I said above, I'm just waiting for the full customer release.
And yet you have up to 24 buttons under each thumb without even leaving the "trackpad" area.
I don't think spreading out the 4 physical keys is that big of a issue.
let us hope so.
^^If the reviews roll in and are even half as optimistic as those devs say then I believe that's a negatory. Again I have my $ on that being the case since it is Vavle. They tend not to disappoint and being a private company allows this to happen over and over again.
I'm not sure how sluggish analog joystick input being upgraded to extreme precision and exponentially more buttons is NOT a evolution. Anyone that plays games outside of those joysticks (even occasionally...
I've thought that this game looked generic since I saw the very first gaming trailer. I've followed stuff since then and only strengthened my concern.
It's going to be forgotten very quick while being a nice slap in the face to fans of the franchise.
You are entirely correct sir.
If it was anyone other than Valve then I might house the same concerns. :)
It will probably hit that without an issue.
I just want a Vita version. :(
I don't think it looks bad, I kind of like it.
Either way it's a controller not a car. It should be about ergonomics and functionality. Vavle is killing it in this regard...

This controller is the definition of a "next gen" controller. You know that gami...
Yea, I said that was my opinion. I honestly have only used them at a demo so maybe I didn't have the correct time to get acclimated to it.
Even if I wanted to, this rig already cost me way too much. Defiantly don't have the finances to invest in something like that.
So you guys enjoy it. I guess I'll just continue waiting on those curved high res monitors. They HAVE to be coming. If not then I need $ for a start up business ASAP! :)
You know before all this (Steam Machine, OS, Controller) I would have agreed with you.
Now I have to say that they might keep HL3 a pc exclusive therefore being a exclusive to the platform they are creating. I can pretty much bet it will be a time exclusive at the least.
I would consider selling my 780 too if this was true. There are some things you need to consider first though.
First being AMD has been working really close to Dice with BF4. Whose to say these results with the "Mantle" system are going to be more universal?
Second is the screen size. I have a 1440p monitor and that's all I need. My 780 pumps out the 96fps that this 96hz monitor is capped to without a issue.
Maybe if you had mul...
Slave labor is at all time high though.
That's how the place has really thrived.
That's weird. If you would have read my first comment, you would have known that I did read your review and noted exactly just that... " I know it's your first time to the franchise and you did say it going into the review." Still you replied to that comment as well so your accusations seem to be a bit hypocritical.
This second comment I posted above has NOTHING to do with you'r review at all. The only way it's any way related is by being simply bein...
Wow they did it from 12 to 13 too? I didn't realize that. So it's two years since the "original". That is outrageous.
I thought COD has gotten bad but it isn't anything in comparison to that.
The first few days are some of the most explosive for a project like this, not so much the last.
We can hope though and for all of us on the Vita I hope you are right.
After my time with Rayman Legends I realized modern day side scrollers are a perfect fit for the Vita. They look really good on the OLED screen. The best aspect is probably the portability. They are perfect pick up and play games which goes really well with the snap to and sleep mode the Vita h...
I not really a sports fan so I'm defiantly not a sports game fan.
Even so...

A 9/10 for this? I know it's your first time to the franchise and you did say it going into the review. Still giving out review scores of that caliber tell EA and other greedy publishers that this is okay.

That's almost a year old at this point and it says notebook gpu?
I wonder what it is now especially with AMDs involvement in next gen systems. I have a 780 and I'm kind of a Nvidia fanboy. Even so I'm not going to bash or degrade AMD. AMD has been giving Nvidia a run for their money lately. The competition between the two companies propels the GPU technology forward exponentially in the process and ALL consumers end up winning.
