If it makes you feel any better, I imagined that was Dwight Schrute's N4G account.
I think that would explain a lot. :)
I just posted a very long comment over in the main thread with fact for people being cynical about it.
In short though, this touchpad can really bridge the mouse to controller gap. Those touchpads have the ability to be soo much more sensitive than a analog stick. It ends up basically putting a mouse in your controller.
Also the Haptics vibration technology they are adding sounds amazing. Like surround sound in terms of vibration for the controller. Although ...
It's not trying to copy the PS4/Vita controller. Did you even read the article? Oh and who am I? A guy that currently ONLY owns a PC and Vita as his gaming platforms. I have a ps4 on preorder though.
The PS4/Vita has touch elements. The Steam controller is using a track pad as the literal joysticks. Oh and the "touch pad" element on the PS4? The "copy" on the Steam controller is a full color touch screen. If you are cynical enough to have to degrade it...
They handed out golden hammerburst at the Gears of War 2 midnight release. I'm pretty sure that was the only way you could get them. They clearly said "Midnight Launch" and I had to beg them to let me pick up my buddies to get it as well since he had work in the morning. You're right though, they need to do that more often. That's personally the only time I can remember I got anything special at a midnight launch. I mean I got a crappy Pirate of the Carribean PC game at ...
Oculus Rift and Virtux Omni are the first steps towards a Star Trek Holodeck.
So yes, I believe it's the future. They'll both have my money as soon as they have a consumer product ready.
If you're curious, this is everything you need to know about the qnix/xstars if you ever want to look into adding more or replacing your current one....

It's freaking ridiculous how good of a price they are with the picture and overclockability. The auction for mine was like $290 (without $40 warranty added) for...
No reason to hate on him because he brings up a valid point. That is probably one of the larger contributors to the sales difference between regions.
Even if you drive your own car as your only mode of transportation (I do), you still have downtime in places foreign from where your gaming console is. It could be 10 feet or 1000 miles. Either way the console isn't in front of you.
That's what portable gaming is for and the Vita does a damn good job of ...
PS4 will actually probably have 4k games. It will be the same way the 360/PS3 have 1080p games.... arcade games.
Games like Rayman run in 1080p on the 360/ps3. I'm sure some similar style arcade games will run in 4k eventually on the PS4.
3D rendered legitimate PS4 games in 4k? Hell no.
I've been strictly a pc gamer for a few years now (ps4 on preorder though).
I've had my Vita for around a month and I choose daily to play my Vita instead of PC games. It's quite a powerful device for it's size and the OLED screen really showcases colors.
Damn, I salute you sir.
Exactly. The difference between 1080p and 1440p is so blatantly obvious. You know the people calming it makes no difference have never actually seen it.
I freaking love my 1440p monitor and I have it overclocked to 96hz too!!
The Yamakasi that you suggested is still a great monitor but there are a lot better options out there now.
I would highly suggest the Qnix or X-Star. They are both the exact same model and are pretty much THE go to model...
Half an inch? That's a bit much. I can see pixelation on my 42" 1080p tv from the couch 6ft away...
As I said above I went from a 1080p 27" monitor to a 1440p (in between 1080p and 4k) monitor and the difference is crazy. I sit about 3 feet away from it. Anything that is displayed nativity in the 1440p resolution obviously looks tremendously better than anything the 1080p monitor could output.
It sounds to me like a similar argument about 30fp...
Yup, I have a 1440p monitor which is pretty much right in the middle between 1080p and 4k. It is AMAZING! I had a 1080p monitor in the same size before this and the difference is staggering. It looks so good that it almost seems surreal. I can only imagine 4k.... The monitor is a PLS panel so the colors are absolutely gorgeous. It also has much deeper blacks when compared to the standard TN LCD/LED panel.
If you're a pc gamer, I highly suggest you look into one of these. ...
Yea the problem is the kids getting a hold of a game like this. It's simply way to explicit, even when compared to previous GTA games.
That said I will argue both sides and say I played GTA games when I was younger and turned out fine. My parents did their job though and tried their best to make sure I didn't have it.
I remember getting a buddy to pick me up Vice City on the PS2. A few months went by until they finally figured out that I was playing G...
Hmm going of exactly what you said means a lot of games are brand new IPs. Killzone 2, Borderlands 2, Metal Gear Solid 3, Halo Reach, Far Cry 3, every Battlefield game, Fallout New Vegas, Bioshock 2 and Infinite, all the Rainbow Six games, all of the Elder Scroll games, all the Need for Speed games, all the Forza games, all the Gran Turismo games, all the Dirt games, Assassin's Creed games, etc.
That's just the first few that come to mine. See how that logic starts t...
They haven't really increased in size over the past 6 years or so. Not sure why you would say that. Only the aftermarket non-reference cards tend to be a bit bigger because they sport better cooling systems.
For example go look at any of the asus cards with a DCii cooler. They have been adding those to all sorts of cards between nvidia and amd. Still the current 780 dcii is roughly the same size as the original dcii card that was released years ago.
Nice and good luck to you!
I have that and the 100 MP matches left although I only need 15 more or so. I do have 9500 kills though :)
Probably every other nation in the world than the one you're in....
You should have just held out for Legends since it was so close lol. It has pretty much all of origins in it. Although having the full Origins game gives you access to all the trophies.
@ Thanatos
Well at the very least you can stream your PC to the Steam Machine in the living room or wherever it is.
I'll be supporting it no matter what. I enjoy consoles but I think PC needs some more love, especially for console players that think it's just too expensive. Increased support would then lead to devs having better budgets for PC games in the future.
Win win for everyone, especially the new comers that then get the hardw...
