Oh man I hope this stuff leaks. We've never really had this kind of transparency. There could well be so much deception behind many consoles- i.e. MS could have previously made the XboxOne non-functional without an internet connection but changed it last-minute due to fan backlash, before pretending it was never the case. If that turned out to be true, it'd set a major example, game companies would have to be more accountable and we wouldn't get effed over as much. We need to expo...
I hope all these games are amongst those: Time Travellers, Final Fantasy Type-0, Final Fantasy XI F2P, Zero Escape 3, Assassin's Creed: Rising Phoenix (just because of atypical it looks for an AC game), Steins;Gate (localisation), a Shin Megami Tensei game (maybe IV), oh and perhaps a Final Fantasy V remake.
Em, no. A Dozen by definition is a group of twelve things. I suppose in some cases it can be an exaggeration or embellishment, but in this case, the guy was highly emphatic about it. In fact, he said "Dozens" and was highly emphatic about it. That means (because it's plural) no less than 2 dozens, which is 24.
I'd dismiss it as exaggeration if he wasn't so emphatic about "dozens".
This is why we need more people like Jonathan Blow in the games industry. He's one of the only progressive minds amongst a bunch of man-children. He's intelligent, thoughtful, and he realises everything that's wrong with games, not to mention advertising and marketing, which are totally deceptive and narcissistic by their very nature.
Forget your Ken Levines and your David Cages. One of them is too stuck in conventional ideas about what games should be and it ruin...
Are they gonna change the name BACK to Agito again? I was getting used to Type-0. Plus I'm pretty sure they have trademarks for Type-1, 2 and 3. Agito-2, 3 and 4 anybody?
Either way, I need to play this game. It's supposed to be phenomenal.
"Dozens" means 24 at least... I hope so.
Okay so fans are contributing to FPS being formulaic then. Stop stifling originality and supporting games that glorify, and make enjoyable, by representation, war and the abuse of animals, not to mention games that are stagnating the games industry with constant iteration.
If true this is obviously Battlefields 'Zombies'. Maybe something like a Turok-esque mode. FPS's are becoming so formulaic.
No new Final Fantasy / Final Fantasy XV?
No Half Life 3 either...
Also no Zero Escape 3, or Assassin's Creed Rising Phoenix.
I feel like we've almost seen the whole game at this point. I'm getting less and less enthusiastic about it.
They've basically just admitted to consumer brainwashing. Boycott these exploitative a-holes.
Hmmm, I'd maybe be envious of someone who owned a watercooler, but only on a hot summer's day, and to be honest I could just put a glass of water in the fridge for a bit, it doesn't really bother me. I think it's an envy that I'd quickly forget about because I'd realise that a watercooler isn't at all a necessity.
I'm hoping this is the successor to Myst. Riven's good too btw if you can it to run and not crash and bug out on todays PCs or the PsOne. Wish they'd release it on the DS...
This guy's too brainwashed by conventional games- too brainwashed by conventional ideas of 'reward' in games. The reward for me is the exploration, the discovery, the atmosphere, and the mystery. You're plopped in an open world just left to discover everything yourself, this is what games should be about. No more hand holding. God I can't wait for this.
Flippin 'eck mun. I just hope absolute power doesn't corrupt Sony absolutely. Mark Cerny seems like a nice guy, hopefully he can keep them grounded.
Oh wait it's probably hours. Under 2 days then.
Is that 46 minutes? Such a damn deceptive teaser. What if it doesn't actually start ticking down for like a month? I hope it's sometime today...
Such arrogance. As if the current economy / society is the "natural" way of things. No, you're just feeding into a system with its own internal logic.
Now THIS, is journalism. On the very pulse of culture. This goes beyond the xbox reveal, this is an implicit (occasionally explicit) indictment of consumer culture. Bravo.
