Yeah you're right, it is an optional feature. But most of the stuff the 3 companies are touting are just this nonsense stuff no one asked for, and yet they're trying so hard to make us think we want it. I am going to completely ignore it, but its annoying that it's those features that are probably ramping up the price, and not only that, but that the games industry is probably going to continue to be characterised by this nonsense.

All they need make are games con...

Just figure it out yourself. I have no idea why people are enticed by that feature. I've never sought help from another if I get stuck in a game, and I've always got by just fine- no one asked for this feature. It's just making entertainment an even more droolingly passive experience than it already is. I might look online for hints, but I don't want someone commandeering my game and doing something elaborate to win for me that I didn't understand (think rpgs)

I hope they change Noel's look too, he was in the trailer briefly and he looked the same as in XIII-2. Good character. I can picture him with a sort of ponytail or something in this game- sort of like Zhao Yun's hairstyle from Dynasty Warriors 6 onwards.

It would be the greatest injustice if Banjo Kazooie 4 actually got released on the Xbox One. That's just not right.

Well I knew it wouldn't be a sequel, but I thought it'd at least be a final bit of DLC for HR.

But this... *sigh* oh well.

I've got to say, more so than any of the other reviews, this one makes me want to play this game. Not because the game is 'perfect' and 'a masterpiece' but becuase the review has restraint- isn't hysterical. It carefully and concisely highlights the same sort of dissonance that plagued Bioshock Infinite- the video-gameyness that sort of undermines the game's narrative and emotional power. All the same though, the review describes the positives really well, and does...

I don't really get the hate for the Wii U. Nintendo are preparing to absolutely inundate owners with games:

Monolith Soft's Xeno rpg, Pikmin 3, New Zelda, Wind Waker HD, The Wonderful 101 (which looks AMAZING), Dragon Quest X (so envious, although slightly less as I could be seen as it's an mmo and I'm not an mmo fan), Rayman Legends, Scribblenauts Unlimited (Very good, but'll probably have another turd of a soundtrack), Sonic Lost World (which could be go...

Anime used to have more variety, and variety still exists, but you can't sit there and tell me the characters in this game don't look like exactly the same art style as like 80% of anime these days. You just can't.

It's the eyes, the hair, the gestural lines for noses and mouths. Of course there's some homogeneity in western animation, but definitely not nearly as much as anime.

And are you saying no to more eastern characters too? Why? Y...

No company other than Square Enix was mentioned in the trailer. Also this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...

Motomu Toriyama wrote that game ^^^, and Tsuyoshi Sekito scored it. feelplus developed it, but SE were pretty involved- more than just at a publisher capacity.

Nice trailer. It looks great. I just hope that #1. this isn't a fail of Mindjack proportions and #2. SE don't go full-western after this (if it succeeds).

Looks nice but I'm full on tired of that homogenous anime art style (for the characters that is). Just because it's a JRPG doesn't mean it should have that art style, that's just lazy. Also there should be more actual EASTERN characters.

A majority would complain about the graphics. Which is sad.

4735d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

That could explain the super-naff sci-fi style of this game.

Run around a map and shoot the other team. Yawn.

Maybe the other mode is better, but let's stop pretending THIS looks good. More of the same.

That's gotta be a first...

I'm sure this game is good- from the sound design to the graphics- but ALL the dialogue I've heard was so cheesy and cringey and Spielbergian. Not badly written, just really derivative and obligatory.

Not to mention this fascination with post-disaster / apocalypse that our culture is so obsessed with. It's pretty much been proven that our fascination with such a trope is a response to the expansion of liberal values-...

It's the same game on an emulator... you do realise that right? Also I played it with a Ps3 controller. Pretty much the same experience, but with crisper graphics- not that that really matters.

Versus XIII, Type-0 / Agito localisation, XI on Vita, KHIII teaser, Bravely Default, More info on Lightning Returns, and maybe XV = Successful Square-Enix e3 + Square Enix are back on track.

Pretty woeful game. Good atmospherics, but the battle system is almost completely broken. I had to play it on an emulator and use save states because it was borderline unplayable to me, especially with the superboss. The hit detection is all over the place. Dialogue's not too bad, but a little sketchy here and there (probably a translation thing), while the story is decent, but the narrative is kind of messy. There are some good set pieces and moments, but I'm not sure it all holds to...
