Great, another game title with "fall" on the end of it. Not enough of those.
I'm sure they intendo to replace it.
Well you're not just "pressing up" are you. There's a beautiful world unfolding before your eyes. This is what makes the minimal interaction worth it. It wouldn't be worth it if you were just playing as a white square on a black background. But, the writer of this article acknowledges this. What they're actually complaining about is the way that trekking across an open world becomes a chore very late in the game, when you've seen and done almost everything there ...
If every single game company is going to have some f-ing client I have to install to play their games, I'm done with PC gaming. In fact, I'm done with gaming, because I don't gaf about consoles. They'll stay on Steam if Steam lowers its commissions, which it'll probably be able to do once Artifact comes out and starts generating loads of money for them. What they lose from lowering the commission they'll get back from Artifact, and maybe other stuff that they're ma...
More like the dangers of using Origin. I don't think this has ever happened with Steam. Still, while I have pretty much gone fully digital, I do worry about its future sometimes. I mean, what happens if Valve do something terrible and go bust? What happens to my games? Do I get a refund? How could they possibly deal with a situation like that? I feel like it'd be grounds for suing. The whole thing creates a conflict of interest for people like me. If Valve does something bad, there...
Seems a strange addition. Instead, they could have added an option to customize Noctis and co.'s appearances a la Comrades. Be cool if you could have older Noctis' hair on younger Noctis. Also I prefer older Gladiolus' hair.
Great news!
It did better and got further than most gimmicky stuff, but I think it's out of steam now.
Maybe, but the precision of execution shown in the demo is probably close to impossible.
That's what they want us to think.
Total bullsh!t. Easily the most interesting game shown at the conference. Almost everything else was just a super violent third or first person shooter or action game. Shadow of the Tomb Raider (TPS, survival), The Last of Us 2 (TPS, survival, apocalypse), The Ghost of Tsushima (tp action, hack n' slash, historical, open world), The Division 2 (TPS, survival, apocalypse, open world), Skull and Bones (TPS / tp action, historical, open world), Assassin's Creed Odyssey (tp action, histor...
They look alright to me. Young, like they're supposed to be. Not ugly.
No VII Remake, no Final Fantasy XVI, no Final Fantasy Type-Next, no Final Fantasy X-3, still nothing about what Motomu Toriyama is working on, no Final Fantasy XI reboot, no Shin Megami Tensei V, no Project Re Fantasy, no Metroid Prime 4, no Half Life 3, no Portal 3, nothing about Fumito Ueda's next project, no Skate 4, and no new Onimusha.
Still, nice to see new Fire Emblem, new Smash Bros., DMC5, Resi 2 remake, TES6, and Starfield. Babylon's Fall could be good too...
GAMES, not "value". Stop using these disgusting corporate words.
That gameplay was very obviously staged. Fake isn't the right word, but nevertheless, this footage could be misleading to people who aren't used to videogames. Don't expect something that fluid from the final game.
I love the look of this game. Great music and atmosphere, and amazing visuals. The story seems cool too, though some of that dialogue was a little bit expository. I hope the final game is more show than tell. Also glad to hear that combat is optional and that Kojima kept his word about the whole "rope instead of stick" thing. Felt queasy after all that glorified brutality at e3 (The Last of Us 2, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Ghost of Tsushima, Rage 2, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Sek...
These conferences are always, always really cringey. I think the only person who was able to handle being on stage so far was Todd Howard, but even he piled it on a bit thick with the industry rockstar thing.
Who's the developer though? I hope this isn't what Motomu Toriyama has been working on...
They might have some other stuff during Sony's conference, but their own conference was a huge disappointment. Most of the trailers had already been shown elsewhere, most of the games weren't SE developed, and the new stuff that was shown was only teased, and also wasn't SE developed. Teases only work for established series. If they had teased, say, Final Fantasy XVI, it would have been amazing, but teasing two completely new games from non-SE developers? Hard to get excited, to b...
That's not what was meant by that sentence. It's saying that once XV is done, it'll be the end of everything FNC related. XV was FNC related when it was originally announced.
Having said that though, there is a Type-0 sequel in the works, so the writer obviously isn't aware of that.
