Why are some people so mad over this? I think seeing this game in motion caused some people here actual, physical pain!

Still don't know about this game. I'll have to wait for the reviews. Because this looks too much to me like the preliminary excuses developers have before the game comes out to try and explain why the game isn't as good as should have been.
What about that Skype on the PS3 thing? Now THAT would be interesting, and it does sound like something Sony would do. That would not only make cross-game chat a possibility, but cross-platform chat.

Ok, I see where you're coming from. My thing is, when the differences are so very minute and clearly debatable, what purpose do they really serve?
1. They have a system for dealing with that.

I sure as hell would. Gears is an okay game, but not that big of a deal to me. A better example would have been Mass Effect 2. Now, if THAT was announced as multi-plat.....it'd be nice, but still not that big of a deal.
Exclusives make the platform. MS needs more of them, and I hope they plan on announcing some good ones next month.
IGN is really getting behind this game. The review copies I imagine are already in their hands at this point, so if they're getting this much behind it, it has GOT to be a great game.

The above poster is correct, but it's important to point out that Wipeout HD, a PSN-only title, has a platinum trophy. Battlefield 1942 (or whatever year it is) that's coming to PSN will also have one.
