That actually IS a possibility. Never thought about it like that before, but you're just about correct there.
I wouldn't doubt that it's in the works, but it's WAY too early to be thinking about that now. Leaves will be falling from the trees on their own accord before you'll see a PSN demo.

I'm not talking about the developers. I'm talking about the console maker. Check the edit. And as for the rest of that, if compression is so great, why don't we just use CDs? Compression, contrary to popular belief, isn't a magic box into which you can fit anything.

I actually agree with you, but you're forgetting that these PSOne Classics aren't just for the PS3; they're for the PSP as well. When I'm at home, hell yeah, I'd rather be playing inFamous than, say, Xenogears, but while I'm out and about with my PSP it's nice to be able to play a bit of Syphon Filter and Castlevania: SotN.
I wouldn't doubt it. I truly believe Sony simply has too many things going on, so they HAVE to let some of it out early, otherwise their press conference would be 4 hours long.

Dead wrong on this point. Spquaresoft released FF7 on the PlayStation 1 long before there was even a thought about a merger, and they didn't do it because Nintendo was dragging their feet, but because Sony was using a superior storage format that made it a better game.
