Once again, MS advertises the sh*t out of their games because they can. As in, they don't have 12 first party studios and 3 different consoles to worry about. They have one console, and about 4 or five 1st party dev teams. That's it. They can afford to do 10 million plus dollar advertising campaigns, because it's not like those ad dollars need to be put elsewhere.
That's an advantage MS has, and they're doing all they can with it. Which is commendable. With Sony, though, it...
"I thought Sega surprised the public at E3 by announcing they would release the Dreamcast early, which ended up being terrible because of the fact that there was no public hype built up (only people who knew about E3 knew it was releasing)
That would be why it was a terrible launch."
You're thinking of the Saturn.
*laughs* Yeah, busy doesn't even begin to describe it. I'll find you on PSN probably tomorrow.
I'd have to agree with that.
This is America. People have the right to say whatever the f*ck they want.
Q-Games has done a lot more than they even get credit for. The XMB? Q-Games. The music visualizers? Q-Games. That wavy background that's standard on the PSP and PS3? Q-Games.
I still lol at the "winning E3" thing. That never stops being funny to me. Makes me think there's money do be made in a PSN/XBLA game that would be called "Press Conference Wars."
It could be released right alongside "NPD Numbers Extreme: There Can Be Only One."
As far as PSOne Classics are concerned, if things I've been hearing about recently are correct (I haven't had a chance to confirm), then you should start seeing more titles on a weekly basis, with a freaking MASSIVE update later this year.
Patapon 2 kicks ass. Buy it.
Yeah, but not everyone can play it NOW. People want all the info they can get on this game, and for the majority out there that can't play it yet, they want info on what to expect when they can.
Wrong. It didn't "turn into" anything. After MS unceremoniously shut them down, some former company members formed other studios. Three, not two: Robot Entertainment, Windstorm Studios, and Bonfire Studios.
DMA Design turned into Rockstar North. EA Redwood Studios turned into Visceral Games. Ensemble Studios was shut down, and some employees formed other companies. "Turned into" my ass.
I'll give props for this one...I've put more than 5 hours into the demo and never saw that.
I started to think MS forgot that 1st party studios are a good thing. Nice to see them using their money effectively. They need to keep this up.
Exactly what I came here to say. This franchise is Sony's property; they could have just as soon handed the license to one of their many talented 1st/2nd party studios (I'd've loved to see Insomniac's version of Ghostbusters), but they didn't.
I understand being annoyed with Activision for what they did as publishers, but Sony can literally do whatever the hell they want. If you have an issue with it, hand over the license. It's just that simple.
I'd shoot this guy myself if they'd let me. They wouldn't even have to pay me.
No, UT3 was Epic's choice; don't even go there. They wanted to do mods for UT3. Sony said yes, MS said no. So they released it on the PS3 until they could figure out what to do about MS. They made that choice. Not Sony.
This game is f*cking awesome!
I'll have a full preview on PSLS in the morning, but for now, I'm going back to Empire City!
I'm at 74% right now. Can't wait to play it!
If you check the links in my article, you can see that there is a place for you to voice what you think should happen in Home. Instead of posting things in random places and hoping that Sony will read it, how's about posting it where they're certain to? You have a lot of good points, and I'd hate to see them ignored simply because you didn't do it in the right place.
Um.....no, they aren't.
