What else have they done, and why should I care? Not trying to be a hater here, but I'm not the type to get all hot and bothered over a game simply because it's PS3 exclusive. I need a bit more than that.

When has there EVER been replies to firmware posts on the PSB? Just because they're not replying on the spot doesn't mean they're not paying attention. Obviously our responses need to be compiled and sent to the firmware team in JPN so that they can be addressed. Why would they respond one at a time when the time could be better used to simply address the concerns by fixing them?

A platinum trophy is for those that have mastered the ENTIRE game, not just the part they choose to play. If the game has online, then yeah, its trophies need to count for the platinum.
You have to understand that in addition to what people are asking for, they also have plan for what they want their console to be able to do. It's not all about what you want, but to say that they're not listening is downright idiotic. If they weren't listening and asking for our feedback, the PlayStation.Blog wouldn't exist.

I don't know why you're getting disagrees; you're right. Despite the fact that MS has been leading is sales, they have been acting like followers, not leaders. All they've done for the most part is react to what Sony was doing or planning on doing. I recall a year and a half ago that Shane Kim was annoyed at Sony because they kept mentioning they were doing things, but then not doing them, which made it difficult for MS to counter them.

I'll agree that VG Chartz is a crappy source, but given how pro-360 they've been over the past couple of years and they STILL reported this, it should be interesting to see the official numbers.
I agree on what you said about certain sites that have been hating on Sony since the launch of the PS3. It hit fever pitch after the new model was announced, but now they all just look even stupider than we already knew them to be.

I hope this serves as a wake-up call. Sony came into this business and took it over right out of the gate. They know what they are doing. The have the best hardware, they have the most first party studios, they have arguably the best games.

Yeah, I'll stand by that. Casuals buy the Wii. Period. Some will buy the PS3 as well, but the Wii has that market locked. Count on it.
Glad to see I'm not the only one that feels this way. The FPS genre is simply, IMO, overdone this gen. Every time I look up, there's another one being talked about, and I'm pretty much over it. One good FPS every couple of years is more than enough for me. Next year, I'm buying MAG, and I'll be okay on the FPS front.
Bring on a good 40+ hour RPG!
