Answer: Absolutely nothing. People were waiting for the PS3 price drop. They were clambering for it. Now that it's here, they're buying it in droves.
No one, however, was saying, "Gee, I'd buy a Wii, but it's too damn expensive! If only they cut $50 off the price, I'd be in there like swimwear." People who wanted the Wii bought a Wii. People who still want a Wii will buy a Wii. Price was never a factor. For Sony, it was a HUGE factor...one that no longer exists....

You know what, you guys see what you want to see. Where were you guys when Hilary, Xbox 360 editor, said on GameScoop that at the same price, the PS3 new model was better than the 360?
Hell, the first news story I ever submitted on this site was Hilary arguing a point that he had made regarding the fact that he didn't think the 360 would be able to compete long-term with the PS3.

Can't believe I'm going to say this, but I agree with coolirisGB on several points. Screen tearing was an issue during my gametime, and there were many points where everything would freeze for about a second before catching up.

Thanks for the gameplay vid, but sadly after seeing it, I'm far less impressed. It looks not too dissimilar from the first game and, while the first game was fun, I was expecting to see more improvements 3 years later.
This game looks amazing; I'm glad they went back to the drawing board for this one. I mean: DAMN! If you own a 360 and don't plan on buying this, you're an idiot.
I know how this is going to sound, but I never had any interest in this game. It's coming out too close to God of War 3 for me to care.
Sony may not have had what I was looking for, but MS only barely even showed up. Natal looks impressive, but until I see ACTUAL GAMES, I really don't care. Sony showed actual games. They win.

Well, a good reason would be that the demo isn't on the disk, but on PSN. The game includes a download voucher for the demo.

"Heated?" How did you read anything I said and figured I was "heated?" And if you read the comment history for most of the people here crying (not all, but most), the reason I referred to them as fanboys will probably be a bit more clear.
I'm fine with a good debate, but attempting to argue with people for whom logic doesn't matter isn't exactly something I consider fun.
I absolutely prefer the PS3, and very rarely touch a 360, but I don't put on rose-colored glasses and pretend that everything on the PS3 is excellent.
NG2 wasn't a great game. Add more features, and guess what - you STILL have a game that's not great.

If you can;t understand that Sony is in competition with Nintendo in the same way that Lexus is in competition with Schwinn Bicycle Company, I can't help you. Yes, Sony would love to have the same sales Nintendo does, but they are after different markets.
