All this, just for the demo? Man, this is going to be goddamned epic!
Big kudos to Naughty Dog!
This game is now on my radar, which is BAD because there are TOO MANY GAMES COMING OUT!
Not just games in general, but GOOD games. That's great and all, but they have to start spacing these out. I don't have time to play everything, so this is likely to become another game in my already huge backlog.
The guy joined N4G 17 days ago. Probably an alt account. I'd just ignore him and take his bubbles.
Fanboys will be fanboys, no matter what side of the fence they happen to be on.
Who gives a crap what they do? What's the point of trying to find the logic, or to ask for justification? If they had either of those things, then they WOULDN'T BE FANBOYS.
On the bright side, it does, however, contain two user created levels that are fun to play.
JPN version of the demo is 917MB.
HK version? 1057MB.
Why?
Right there with you. I think Twitter is the stupidest thing in the world (besides reality TV), and if not having and account there would mean not being among the first to know new gaming news, trust me; there's no way in hell I'd have one.
My roommate and co-host of the PopCast likes Twitter, and uses it damn near exclusively. I've always told him it's stupid. Now I have proof.
Not everyone gets every demo, either. I like how you all so quickly forget that just 4 short years ago, if you didn't get a disk with a certain magazine or do a pre-order at a certain store, you weren't getting demos on demand for every game. So, because not everyone got those, did they not count as demos?
There were well over 1.5 million beta codes given away during that time last year. I myself wasn't even trying, and I ended up with a beta code for myself and 8 extra ones t...
A demo lets you try out a game early.
The beta let people try out the game early.
Failing to see the difference here.
You guys wanted a demo before the game? There WAS. It was called a beta, and there were about 150 different ways to get into it. There were beta codes being given away from every site, every Twitter account, every Facebook page, that was even REMOTELY gaming related. Hell, about the only thing they didn't do was include free beta codes in boxes of Captain Crunch and Happy Meals.
Where were you guys then? Besides, with the GOTY edition of the game in stores now, plus the fact...
This game looks so cool; almost makes me sad I sold my DS long ago.
Please. I still remember their entire article on firmware 2.4 when it came out. No features list whatsoever, and they ended it with the line, "Unhappy? You have no one to blame but yourselves."
I just tried to find this article, that I commented on, and shockingly, it's not longer there.
II'm pissed becuaase I'm tired of people bending to the will of over-sensitive people with too much time on their hands. LittleBIGPlanet suffered this same fate, and now this. People cried "racism" back when the RE5 trailer hit for the same stupid reason.
In this case, it pisses me off more because the only thing Nigeria was mad about is that the name of their counrty was used. The joke had NOTHING TO DO WITH NIGERIA. If Nigeria really had a probl;em with something ...
Some one me up when ToV features a US release date. An install I couldn't care less about; I'm sure my HDD can handle it. That's what it's there for.
Can we maybe get the damn game itself now?
Dude, I have no idea what you just said. I tried to read that and my brain shut off; that was nothing but one huge sentence. Not trying to be an asshole, but punctuation marks were invented for a reason. Seriously, I can't even read that.
For those that disagree with me, I respect your opinions, but look at facts. Since launch, we've seen 3 first party FPSs. In a 2.25 year timeperiod. How many RPGs? Zero. Not one. And we are now approaching the year three mark. Still no first party RPGs.
Why am I STILL waiting for one? I should have at least one by now. Sony has more first party studios than Nintendo and Microsoft COMBINED. Actually, they have more than twice the amount. Why can't maybe one or two of ...
I did. Still didn't see anything which impressed me. Heavenly Sword looked better than that, and that was a first year game.
"There's so much going on in this demo that's it's really hard to pick where to begin describing it. I talked to the developers the other day, and they said the purpose of this freebie is to give you as much of the multiplayer game as they can in a reasonably sized file. So, you give Naughty Dog 1.5 GB, and they're giving you four maps, four competitive modes, two co-op modes, the much-hyped cinema mode, the ability to create custom games, access to new skins, about 80 percent of the boo...
