A Socom game would not only be more reliable for sales, but it would also be much more welcomed.
MAG I think will fair in the high 70's overall. Again, not too bad, but nothing too special outside the 256 set up. But I do think that players will be happy with the 256 players-- though I do think it's more of a gimmick, but it seems Zipper has executed it well.

So if SP games are not rated down then it wouldn't be fair to rate down MP only games-- though, I do think there is more value in a SP game than a MP game, but again, you cant judge the content on what it lacks. If that was the case then SP games could be judged for lack of MP which they never are because people understand not every SP game needs a MP, so I think it would be fair to say not every MP game needs a SP.

Bungie is not looking to be taken seriously. Just enjoy him for what he is and don't take him too seriously because the minute you do you will end up making a big deal out of his remarks that are never serious to begin with. I find his sarcasm funny as he is able to convey it subtly while managing to tick off the PS3 fans, and though he is clearly being sarcastic he isn't too aggressive with it so really, why take him so seriously?

This is still only one review, but nonetheless MAG is exactly what I thought it would be.
I don't want this game to fail, and an 8 is a great score for a good game.
As long as it gets a community that loves the game, that's all that matters for fans.

Anyways, yes, I think Cage should have the freedom to do what he wants but ironically enough, Cage is somewhat in a Cage. If I'm not mistaken it was Sony themselves who felt the game went too far which is also ironic because Sony usually allows total freedom for their developers.

WaW just didn't rub me the same way as CoD4 or even MW2 with its boatload of mind-numbingly stupid issues did. And my God did they fail to ever manage the ridiculous power of the MP40. If Power Stone 3/ Power Stone remake is made exclusively for the 360.
Power Stone is the game I lived for. I recently repurchased #2 for a whopping $90 off of Ebay and it's a beautiful game.
I swear to you that I will be very upset if Power Stone goes to the 360.
As a sole PS3 owner it would kill me.
But God I want Power Stone back. I truly felt that that game knocked Smash Bros. out of the park.
I'd much rather watch an ME movie over a Shadow of the Colossus movie that was apparently rumored/confirmed not too long ago.
But I certainly don't agree with the elitist idea people seem to have about GoW "crushing" the competition or acting as if every other game this year is going to be inferior.
I think GoW will be terrific, but so will a lot of other games. Bad Company 2, Mass Effect 2, Halo Reach, Gran Turismo, etc. There is a long list of equally great, if not better games this year.
I'm confident with GoW3 but I'm also confident with the year as a whole.

I think the thing with MW2 is that the game is completely revolved around YOU. I mean, the experience is fun because you are so overpowered and so significant to a game.
In something like MAG, you are part of body of players, and if that body doesn't function, it leads to problems.
And herein will lie the problem with MAG: it will take a while after the vast reviews are out that the community will begin to settle in.
