Are you really dismissing the review because you generalize that UK sites and Edge have a PS3 bias? Universal claims like yours take only one example to disprove: Edge gave Demon's Souls a high score, and I'm sure many UK sites gave GOTY to Uncharted 2, a ps3 exclusive.

MAG is average, many people feel the same way and if you like it that's great. MAG is a prime example of innovation not equating to a great game-- much like Scribblenauts-- stop trying to make excuses for the revi...

Maybe by a few rabid fanboys, but this game was never really hyped the same way Killzone 2 or Uncharted 2 was.

It's getting what I thought it would and it's an A-AA game.

That's not a bad score, but it isn't outstanding either, especially considering the fact that MAG ends up being another average shooter with a weak selling point.

Regardless, it's not the best FPS, but it's decent.

I think the problem was that Zipper worked so hard on just ...

I do respect your opinion.

And I think your points were valid and you offered reasoning so it's all fine.

As for the game itself, I think #10 really summed up my fears: the novelty wears off because the illusion of playing with 256 players is false.

I do still think MAG will depend on the community but I find it far too average outside it's unique selling point. And if people aren't going to be impressed with the # of players then MAG loses all its appea...

But at the same time, back then, the PS2 was still the hottest thing and the 360 was just coming out.

It was better for GoW2 to be the swan song for the PS2.

The PS3 was very foreign and probably would have made the whole process so much harder, so developing on the familiarity of the PS2 seems like the best idea.

It's surprising how many new games and features can come within the year. 2010 will offer a lot of surprises that gamers didn't know about like any other year.

Who knows, we may see numerous new games that pop into existence and become hits either on PS3 or 360.

Time will tell-- you can never predict the end until it ends.

I don't think they are pretending that, but that is something you are assuming. Absence of recognizing Sony doesn't mean Sony isn't recognized by MS or anybody else. 2009 is done and out, and people can't linger on past games when everybody is anticipating the future.

Besides, what gives you that idea anyway? I can also say MS is pretending 9/11 didn't happen since they didn't mention anything about it... but I mean, do they have to recognize Sony? This is PR talk and the objecti...

But less talk and more action, please.

I remember when Sony would do the same at the beginning of this gen and they were fairly criticized for it. All PS3 fans could say was "just wait" for their big blockbuster games.

So the same applies here: I trust MS will deliver, but I'm still waiting.

Mass Effect 2 is a great and promising start for MS.

Edit: @captain-obvious

Yeah, whether MS has an "unparalleled lineup&qu...

in terms of community support lol.

And @Chubear

if the reviews were AAA you'd be praising them, but no, they rated the game average and now you are trying to damage control. I don't expect you to ever say anything negative about the PS3 but some people actually played the beta and did not like it.

When Uncharted 2 reviews were pouring in you were praising the media and had nothing negative to say about reviews and now that MAG is the first major PS3 excl...

Could make a great PSN title.

Let's not ditch the idea completely-- imagine Shadow Complex in GoW format. That would be fun.

It really, really isn't that hard and now that the game is more casual than ever I see no reason to make a starter video.

Now CoD4, that was something that took a fair bit of skill minus the nade spam, but MW2 is ridiculously easy.

I think the big problem with the game is that it turns everybody into killing gods. The streaks, the perks-- especially stopping power and the running classes, the attachments, etc.

Everything is very advantageous without actu...

I don't want to ruin it but I need to feed my BC2 hunger! Argh!

Your right, and I do agree with you-- but at the same time, I don't think it will make a difference in relevance to the outlook on MAG. And right now, that's the concern and I feel that these articles are trying to delay the inevitable. I am wondering if this article would even exist if only the first two reviews for MAG (Which gave it 80) were the only ones available.

But regardless of my accusation, yes, once the embargo is out nobody will care for these reviews, but I don't th...

I hate that freak. What's worse is that there are TWO of them and they keep knocking me off the edge!!

Anyways, yes, this was HILARIOUS. Love this game, it's my GOTY 2009

Is great and it's very disheartening to go back from destruction.

I have to say that MOH could be the realy COD killer if EA indeed makes the game style similar to COD.

And I also have to say that I love EA now. They were the Activision of yesteryear but they have do so, so, so much better for themselves.

Looking forward to BC2.

Yes, the embargo still isn't up and it lacks credibility, but articles like this are delaying the inevitable.

I strongly doubt that even after the embargo is lifted that this game will garner AA+

Unless these websites missed something REALLY big then I don't see the big deal.

At the end of the day, these sites are small and will be forgotten, but it's not the numerical value they give but the content of the review that matters. And, regardless if it is a...

Considering they are using the fatty.

But a good way to promote going green.

Also, the "Universe of Entertainment" was the best PS3 ad I've seen. It was so intense and got me so excited.

And this is really not a new promotion so I find the title to be a little misleading too.

How about:

Sony Wave?
Sony ProStick?
Sony Vegas Motion?
Sony Active?
Sony Bravo?
Playstation Sensation?
Playstation Creation?
The WaveStation??

Eh, coming up with a name is harder than I thought. anyone else have any ideas? :P

Spoilered?? Don't you mean Spoiled??

And I'm not watching this -_- I "spoilered" AC2 because I thought I wouldn't buy it but the game didn't look too bad. Unfortunately reading a spoiler for a game is like having told the ending for Unusual Suspects or Saw.

I wonder what the chances are of Capcom revitalizing the best beat 'em franchise that totally blew SSB away: Power Stone.

I will DIE if they release it exclusively for the 360. I want that game this gen and I want it on my PS3.

If you've never played Power Stone, you never owned a Dreamcast and if you never owned a Dreamcast then you are an abomination!

But seriously, that game was my favorite and I will never understand why Capcom ditched it.

A possible 5-6 score?

Again, I can't be too surprised.

And they said they experienced lag?

I fear this game will experience tons of issues upon release considering the onslaught of new players. Hopefully the servers hold up. Hopefully it doesn't launch like Socom did.

Anyways, again, the main criticisms all seem to be true:

-no single player
-similar gameplay
-Mass confusion amongst gamers and lack of communication ...
