This is nothing new. They are notorious for being lazy, not testing their work, and every patch so far has brought it even more problems than before.

I think the game is just fine. But the fact that people keep trying to make excuses for the reviews is stupid. When it's a good review, the reviewer is somehow "telling it straight", yet when it's a slightly bad review they are either reviewing it too early, they are too biased, or they just don't "get" the game.

It's a harsh score but the review manages to outline the issues with MAG... with the exception of the first line which is totally a big "Wtf" moment.

I find the 5/10 score to be pretty harsh.
I am not disagreeing with you my friend. Like I already said, NOBODY got a grasp on MAG. But NOBODY cared until the beta reviews turned sour and went south.
The fanboys are all happy with MAG when it got great reviews but once that one negative review came in they suddenly were interested in the integrity of the articles.

The last review that gave it a 72 came out AFTER the official release, so by then the people who were so butthurt with MAG receiving 60-80 reviews ran out of excuses and only decided to approve reviews giving it a 9/10.
People can't come to the acceptance that MAG is not a AAA game. Their world is black and white: if it's not a 90+, it's not a good game.

They have the superior games 99% of the time. They have the superior controls (KB & M has better precision than analog sticks).
They have mods.
Their games are freaking cheaper.

what I find really hypocritical is the fact that nobody had problems with the first MAG reviews when it scored an A.
But once it got a 68 and then a couple 70s people started pulling the excuse that it was too early.
The excuse is legit, but it's hypocritical for people to bash only the reviewers who scored it low and claim they wanted hits. So did the ones that rated an 80.

-MAG is not the first or last game to be reviewed partially without playing the whole think. MW2 wasn't either. It's clear reviews for MP games are written partially, so why excuse MAG only?
-Sony held an event where people played the full 256 Domination mode. Not sure if the pre-embargo reviewers were a part of it though
-MAG is getting good scores regardless
-The first two reviews gave it a solid 80. NOBODY complaine...
