A very good A-AA game. I don't think it's quite AAA, but like I've said before it doesn't have to be.
What I am really liking is the fact that Zipper is behind this game. At first I wanted them to make Socom 4 and was disappointed because I thought they were wasting their time, but MAG will evolve and grow over time as the community matures and the developers keep upgrading the game.
The game has a lot of potential for DLC. I can easily see an awesome Raven vs. Valor...
I actually disagree. Heavy Rain will be outstanding but I can't live off of a short game. That's why I'm laying off both Heavy Rain and God of War 3. Those games are just too short for the money I will spend on them.
I am kicking of Q1 with Bad Company 2 though I am very tempted to buy MAG.
Also, this is just another PS3 in 2010 Preview, the same one that has been done a hundred times on this site.

What the hell kind of misleading news is this?
It doesn't offer any proof that God of War 3 is going to HAVE a flippable cover. All it does is give you a tip on how to use an alternate cover from GoW 1 & 2.

I agree that MAG is an average shooter with 256 players and serious calls for team work. And it should be appreciated as such.
One thing I feel with a game like MAG is that these "woes" will be fixed. Zipper is listening to their community and come on, the game is not even a week old.
In comparison to MW2, MAG is near perfect.

Two things:
1) I've never been "interested" in a God of War game in the sense that I've never been stoked like a lot of people have been. It's not that I don't want to play it, but I've never had the chance and I keep delaying playing the series. However, #3 is reminding a ton of Shadow of the Colossus, easily my favorite game of last gen. I'm stunned at the scope and scale
2) Is that the official box art? I think it's nice, but I'm sure they can offer some...

Also, what are you trying to imply with your analogy to SNES? That the 360 is like the SNES? Obviously using a console from many generations ago that didn't have online capabilities does not prove that the 360 is incapable of having more players ...
The first two reviews gave it an 8/10 and nobody minded.
Then the 6.8 review and 70 review came in and everybody was quick to point out that it was too early.
Then more positive reviews came out in the 9/10 categories a mere hours after the earlier reviews were criticized for being too early.
And now another 70 review comes out. The game is getting generally positive reviews with some mixed reactions.

Exactly. If a negative review comes up, or God forbid somebody gives it a 7-8 people will begin crying about how its too early again.
People dismiss bad reviews but then are happy with the 9/10 reviews despite the fact that MAG is supposed to take a good deal of time to understand and review.
Double standards FTL
COD is fun, it really is. The battles are more personal, the game is much faster paced, and there used to be a fair amount of skill in it (CoD4).
Today it's broken, requires far little skill than it used to, and is full of balance issues.
IW has done a crappy job supporting the game and it's a disaster.
I am going with BC2.
There was a spectacular beta, DICE is supportive, and the game is epic fun.
I would totally buy a PSN version.

I'm sure MAG is fun but I'm not too keen on the lack of SP and diversity of modes.
I am picking up BC2 for the SP, MP, and the fact that I can switch in and out between bigger MP modes and smaller MP modes.
I am planning on picking up MAG Sometime in 2010, but not right now.

Well yes for arguments sake, but in terms of success, satisfaction, and in relativity to the fact that Halo 3 is a 360 exclusive, I'd say that Halo is much bigger than COD.
