They did a separate piece on the Pro version, its on their YT channel.
This was just for base consoles. The PC piece is probably coming soon
To be honest, I doubt those licenses are anywhere near cheap.
Sure it’s easy to see in hindsight that the IP is part of what’s making it so popular, but they must be paying a ridiculous amount of money for it and it’s not like the Marvel IPs have always been a recipe for success.
So I can at least see why he would have thought about having a new and internal IP be a preferable option at some point during development
Because its for charity? They are not charging anyone, its a bid, however bids the most gets the “prize” and all the money goes to make a wish….
What are you talking about? It’s for charity… all the money goes to make-a-wish…
Hard to tell, metacritic is already at 68 review scores and opencritic was at 100+
A single review score in any direction is unlikely to make an average move unless the numbers were right at the tipping point. I certainly don’t see opencritic move at this point
I wouldn’t say it looks terrible, but it definitely seems to be the weakest part of the package so far (though again, not bad per se). Most previews today seem to align with that, though they did state it was still quite an early section of the game
But in general its still looking quite good
@isarai
Why do you keep responding like they cancelled the Xbox version entirely?
Its just the physical version… the game is still coming out on Xbox digitally, and if previous titles are any indication, it will likely be on gamepass too at some point
Honestly, at this point I don’t think MS will place any particular emphasis on the sales of any given hardware they release. I think of it more of a Surface kind of hardware brand at this point. They will probably have a couple of SKUs and a handheld but ultimately just care more about having gamepass and all their games available in as many devices as possible, so just as you don’t need a Surface laptop to use Windows/Office, they still have a Hardware brand anyway to go with their actual su...
On Steam it’s still $80 for me, or at least the currency equivalent of $80
It does show $70 on the Xbox store, so it might be a mistake
I doesnt work as well when viewed on YT in a presentation in which you are also constantly changing to real people so it makes the contrast worse. But in game it should be much easier to get used to it
We’ll see eventually with independent testing, but from the numbers they showed, from regular to 4X frame gen there was barely any difference in latency.
And from no frame gen to curren frame gen the increase is negligible for the most part (assuming you were starting from a good fps baseline).
So yeah, while its only really improving smoothness and not responsiveness, I wouldn’t really say latency is a particular concern.
They technica...
I doubt we will see too many cross-gen releases other than games that were already announced for Switch 1 like Prime 4 or Legends Z-A.
If there is a company that knows its first party games will continue to sell for a long time without much in the way of price cuts, it’s Nintendo.
Yes, though the likelihood of these studios coming out of complete cancellation of their projects without job losses is probably not very high. Let’s hope it doesn’t reach studio closure levels, since at this point Sony upper management must know they are the ones that reeeaally messed up with this live service stuff and now they need all hands on deck to make the type of games they did before and they will need all their studios for that
@darth that is not Mario Kart 8
It was a new stage, new karts, more racers on stage and even the DK model was different.
They did the same thing as with Mario Odyssey during the Switch 1 reveal trailer but with MK9 this time
Based on the leaks, which at this point are basically proven, its using hall-effect joysticks, so it should be technically fixed
Everything that was leaked pointed to them doing exactly this, which is also quite literally the same format they used for Switch 1…..
Its literally the same thing they did with the Switch 1…. Reveal trailer, presentation 2 months later with the launch details and game announcements and then the release about 2 months after that
Plus, AMD is the one actually restricting FSR4 to the new cards this time around haha (with reason though)
Neither Nvidia or AMD are consumer friendly, they are both profit oriented businesses
It is a comparison of dlss3 vs 4, but even beyond that, the actual scenarios would have to be even more cherry picked than usual because the VRAM difference is massive.
No one should realistically be expecting the 5070 to be at a 4090 level
Unlikely given that FSR4 is only supported by the 9000 cards.
I would expect the PS6 to use FSR4 since it is definitely superior to PSSR, not really much of a point in keeping investing separate resourced into PSSR, but who knows if both will be available on PS6
