I wouldn’t really says its been confirmed that the stuttering is “CPU dependent”, as most stutters, the lower the CPU the worse it will be, but that doesn’t mean that the stutters are happening because the game is CPU bound at those points.
Not really much to be done until the game gets patched more to see what we might be able to expect from a Switch 2 port
Well, on PC it can significantly scale down (to the some pretty extreme levels that look quite bad tbh haha), so the scalability is probably there, now the just need to get the stuttering issues fixed before then
To be fair, The Pokemon Company operates quite independently, so it wouldn’t have been that strange for a Pokemon game coming out in just the 2nd year of the S2’s life to still be crossgen. I mean, just how long into the PS5 and SX life are we and we are still seeing plenty of crossgen stuff
F3 Remastered already came out on the court documents, so unless it was cancelled, which sounds unlikely as it would the best they can hope to have to match any releases of the TV show since F5 isn’t coming out any time soon.
That said, I do agree that if this has proven to be a hit and I don’t see why F3 wouldn’t be if it gets the same level of treatment, they will probably want to do more
None of those other companies can realistically compete with Valve either. Valve can sell the hardware for a minimal gain and still know they are for the most part, just having every user still use Steam.
Every other handheld has to make its profit entirely on the hardware, which is why most of them went for an even more PC enthusiast market/price point
That is the one point where Nintendo does compete with Valve, or Sony with their rumored handheld or ev...
No, BotW base game is $60 and TotK is $70
Or in terms of the Switch 2 Editions (already with the upgrade), $70 for BotW and $80 for TotK
@lukasmain
You do understand the difference between someone telling you are wrong and telling you are making stuff up?…
You are quite literally, and by your own admission, making up that DK will be 7h long…
Most devs that have complained about the Series S almost always focus on memory as the biggest hurdle, which the Switch 2 has more of (its slower, but generally capacity is a bigger issue than speed)
Also, I don’t know why you are assuming that the devs that have complained about Series S are the ones praising the Switch 2.
Also, it might be a PS4-PS4 Pro level console, but its one with current gen hardware benefits and Nvidia development kits/APIs
Mario Odyssey was anywhere between 20 to 50+ hours unless you were going out of your way to rush it. I have no idea why you are guessing that it will be 7h.
Most Nintendo platformers, even the easier ones, are like 15-20h to do most of what they offer.
There are plenty of actual negative discussion points to be had about this variable pricing model without going out of your way to make up stuff
So you warned that the franchise that has 1 entry that is entirely multiplayer and another entry that has both single player and several multiplayer modes will shockingly have a third (unannounced) entry that will against all odds, also have a single player and several multiplayer modes?…. And that Veilguard’s sales are responsible for that…?
Not upscaled, but dynamic resolution.
But yes,
docked:1080p/30 quality, 1080p/40 performance
Handheld: 1080p/30 quality, 720p/40 performance
Still subject to change of course
It technically wasn’t really stuttering, but a terrible implementation of vsync (double buffer), so any fps drop would just take it (by design) to 30fps from 60.
Just removing that vsync and letting the game run normally should be more than enough to correct them, especially with VRR in play, though you would also assume that it will likely run at a locked 60 anyway if it can use some of the extra performance of the S2
As for BotW and TotK, pixel countin...
It will probably have extremely limited use, but the RT cores are definitely there, its up to the developers how they use it or not.
Ultimately you can still heavily customize how much RT you use (only use certain types of RT features, only for certain materials / different roughness cutoffs, only apply it to specific objects while others use screen space, reduced resolution, only reflect certain objects, limit the number of bounces, etc)
I’m also a bit worried about that, hopefully not more than $10, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they charge more for the games that also have extra content (like Mario Party or Kirby)
They are also including the Zelda upgrade packs as part of the NSO expansion pack, so hopefully they include more in the future
Also, there is no way there arent already third party options ready for release date where you just pop in the joy con in a more usual mouse shell, but it doesnt necessarily look uncomfortable even without that
The only thing I would understand, though still not like in any way, is the physical versions being $10 more. Cartridges are definitely more expensive than discs and these new faster cartridges are also more expensive than Switch 1 ones, so at least that part makes some sense.
On the other hand, starting MK at $80 which then makes the physical $90 is absolutely ridiculous
Think Forza Horizon - Mario Kart Edition
While technically “cheaper”, given the insane prices they have for the games, it seems more like they just decided to charge a premium for the physical versions, which I can only imagine has to be related to the new cartridges being quite expensive to procure (given the increased speeds)
It never ceases to amaze me how people so easily fell to such a blatant lie about jobs/manufacturing going back to the US would somehow lower prices…
Even a cursory understanding should be enough for people to see that companies are producing in other countries because its cheaper to do so. Not only would manufacturing be more expensive in the US due to vastly higher wages, but undoubtedly companies would also charge consumers to make up for the significant costs of moving their manu...
I don’t know if I would really call Clair Obscure a “looker”, Artistically its pretty amazing, but on a technical level it 100% feels like a last gen game that can be maxed out on PC.
But lightning, shadows, especially textures (those can be quite bad for some things), etc, they can be pretty average looking
Not that I’m necessarily complaining, good art direction will almost always trumps over those things specially if its a matter of prioritizing other ...
