like i've always said, it's just a matter of taste. the only reason i posted ign.com's review is because of a notorious 360 fanboy who always brings up how the 360 has all these excellent games, then goes on a rant listing reviews from ign.com ranging in the 8's. for my part i ususally try a game to see if i like it. website reviews shouldn't be the tablet-of-Moses we go by to determine whether or not we like a game. case in point: gamespot.com gave Suikoden 1 and 2 for the PSOne a measly...
as a matter of fact, ign.com was one of the few sites that actually liked Prey (i think they gave it somewhere in the neighborhood of 8.7, whereas gamespot gave it in the 7.5 range)
i guess it's just a matter of taste. i adore both GRAW and Oblivion (maybe not as much as the next 360 fan for the latter). the other one's, while great graphically, offer nothing that isn't available on the current-gen systems (PS2 and XBox). but like i said, hopefully thing's will change this fall/winter, with Double Agent, GOW, Lost Planet, Fable 2 etc.

as you can see they scored it about the same. it ain't just ign saying it.
this is one of the trio of games (along with GRAW and Oblivion) that convinced me to get a 360. after downloading the demo a few days ago i came away unimpressed. nevertheless, i'd actually considered going against my own experienced wisdom (i'd done the same thing with Prey...downloaded the demo, didn't think it was good, but STILL went out and bought the game) and considered buying the game. after reading this review you best believe that i scratched that idea. this makes three disappoi...
thats STILL undetermined. but like you said, i guess we'll find out next week. in either event i'm satisfied. i have a 360 and (hopefully) will STILL be getting a PS3 (even though Sony's starting to damper that assertion with me, seeing as how they've let things develop the way they have). so whether or not it's exclusive to the PS3, or will come to the 360 i'll be having Assassins Creed nevertheless. i can certainly understand if you went w/o Assassins Creed should it remain a PS3 exclu...
lol. yeah, and that can almost be considered a GOOD thing.
here are two links where you can see that Assassins Creed (formerly Project Assassins) was first revealed in a demo reel of PS3 games at TGS 2005

then you wouldn't mind if it didn't come to the 360?
you missed my point. themart is always saying how he thinks Assassins Creed is coming to the 360 because Ubisoft never said that it WASN'T. if the Offset team has never explicitly said that their game ISN'T coming to the PS3, using themart's logic doesn't that mean that it probably will?
lol. do you have an OFFICIAL link saying that this game ISN'T coming to the PS3?
looking good. i'm starting to want this game more than MGS4.
okay Sony. you have aprox. 3 months to squash all doubt about the PS3. some (decent) playable games at Leipzig COULD'VE done that, but instead, for reasons unbeknownst to everyone, you've decided to forego playable demos at Leipzig for TGS, and instead opt to make two (major) announcements. if neither of those two announcements are for a) a PS3 price redduction due to the disclussion of Blu-ray, or b) some concrete news about your online service, then count me out till a decent price-drop....
okay, i MAY think about re-purchasing a PSP for $150. but first, Sony needs to put some games on that thing.
ahem, if you actually read the article from PS3land.com, you'd see that they got the list from gamespot.com. furthermore, if you go to gamespot you'll see for yourself that PS3land is correct. even more further more, as i said, ign.com has even more games in development for the PS3. see:
http://search.ign.com/produ...
even furthermore, some of the 360's supposed exclusives (such as Ninja Gaiden 2...
only 120 PS3 games in development? then where did this site:

get these games from?
Mobile Suit Gundam: Target in Sight
Grand Theft Auto IV
Resident Evil 5
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
Final Fantasy XIII
Resistance: Fall of Man
Call of Duty 3

"A game studio that was developing a mediocre PS3 game before the price announcement would think twice before spending millions on a game that won't sell."
thats classic! i hope they would think twice about making a MEDIOCRE game...on ANY system. but whats classic about this statement is how the article turns this around and makes it seem bad for the PS3. i was almost--ALMOST--buying what this article was saying, until that statement. a developer wouldn't have t...
i'm not EVEN trying to play a game it takes 30 hours just to grasp, let alone 300+ hours to beat. thats insane...if its true?
no offense, but either your logic is flawed, or you're just plain lying. you seem to be one who places a lot of stock in online reviews. most of the sites that i've seen review Chromehounds give it an average of 6-7 out of 10. now i'll admit, i haven't actually played Chromehounds, but last i checked a 6-7 out of 10 wasn't a very good score. most of the sites say that if you're looking for a solid single player experience that you'll be sorely dissappointed with Chromehounds. most sites ...
i find it striking (and comical) that Fils-Aime would come out and diss Microsoft, especially after Peter Moore has all but bluntly asked consumers to purchase a Wii. if taken in a certain context, this can almost be a crushing blow to Microsoft's aims of leadership.
