Smell a sale coming up really soon..
Good. Would have hated seeing the Saw ip exploited into to a generic jogging simulator.
Game was originally announced back for PS3.
They'd be best off negotiating a merger with Ubisoft (whose also apparently up for sale). How ironic would it be that the company that tried buying Ubisoft (via hostile takeover several years ago) ended up merging with them.
Solid movie licensed game indeed. Its unfortunately another High Moon Studios release (i.e. Transformers & Deadpool) with little hopes of a re-release or remaster happening anytime soon, due to expiring license.
Try explaining this to Sony. Days Gone sold millions of copies, yet they still refuse (or are bullish) to green-light a sequel to this day. All because of being butt-hurt it didn't score an 85-90 Meta score.
The Takeover released on PS4 (physically and digitally) ages ago and is actually on sale right now on the PS Store (50% off) .
The fast it goes through, the faster Kotick is out.
So all the fanboys who are constantly ragging on about how Gamepass is going to kill gaming with the Netflix motto, suddenly pull a 180 and are enamored of the notion of Ubisoft+ coming to PS+?
Bunch of hypocrites you all are.
The Initiative just sounded like a disaster in the making from the very beginning (sure, the sentiment was appealing). A studio composed of studio leads from numerous AAA studios was bound to have egos clashing left to right.
Doesn't help matters that MS once again dropped the ball by prematurely announcing another rebooted ip (ie Crackdown 3 and Phantom Dust) without making sure that their development teams were on the same page in terms of vision and blueprint for sa...
Nice read. But an interview from 2016?!
No Unreal Engine 5 announcement? Color me shocked.
Apparently it is. There's absolutely no rationalizing as to why this so-called "Remaster" is dropping to as low as 15 fps during battle sequences.
"I'm surprised this indie game hasn't been ABANDONED yet"
Fixed for you.
Sony has several rpg franchises which have remained dormant for ages. Arc the Lad, Beyond the Beyond, Wild Arms, Legend of Legaia, and White Knight Chronicles to name a few.
If you'd ask me, EA screwed up royally when they prematurely killed off Criterion's Renderware in favor of Frostbite, all because they were upset that UE3 was gaining ground on it from a popularity standpoint. The engine was still used widely amongst 3rd parties and proved more durable (particularly for open world games) than UE3 at the time.
No telling the possibilities where Criterion could have gone with a Renderware2.
Not too thrilled about this news (engine switch). History has shown that studios who usually drop their in-house engines in favor of UE come up short. Starbreeze nearly went bankrupt mainly in part to their decision to drop their proprietary engine for UE (forcing many of their engineers learn a tech which was foreign to them on the fly). Hopefully CDPR won't share the same fate.
"More style than substance." So in other words, we've got another Firegirl: Hack 'n Slash Rescue on our hands.
Just because the site doesn't list last gen doesn't mean the game won't be arriving for those platforms. RE8 was initially only listed for current gen consoles on it's official site when it was first announced.
Also, stop referring to PS5 and X Series as next gen consoles. They're current gen.
